I rented this house from Pathlight. lived here 4 years, no problems. Then came Tricon. The app is broke, the website offers nothing, phone calls take over an hour on hold and result in nothing. They wanted us to put the utilities in our name (water,sewer,trash) which was no problem. Every time we called utilities, They told us the property manager needs to release. We were getting double charged on utilities monthly. Since the website offers NO help, I would call. I would be on hold over an hour to find the *** can only send an email and we wait for a call. That call never came. 6 months later, still getting double charged for utilities. The app is broke and the recording when calling in gives inaccurate information. Now they want me to create a conference call with the utility comp[any to prove we couldn't change without their approval. They double billed me again. Do not do business with this company. They don't give a ratsass about you and will steal everything they can from you.Tricon Residential

We would like to thank Ms. ******** for bringing her concerns to our attention.
Were truly sorry to hear about her experience and regret that weve fallen short of expectations. We understand how frustrating this must be and want to do what we can to help.
Our team has made several attempts to reach both Ms. ******** and the co-resident to discuss and address any outstanding issues, but we have not yet been successful in connecting. Weve also coordinated with our local maintenance team to engage with them directly during the upcoming move-out scheduled for July 15.
We remain committed to resolving any concerns and hope to have the opportunity to speak with them soon.Michelle B

1 starI sincerely wish leaving no star at all was an option. Since Tricon bought out Pathlight, we have had the worst, most difficult, and repetitively disappointing experience. Every month since February my posted rent charges have been incorrect. This month there is an extra $17.95 fee and the memo and explanation for it is literally 2 apostrophes (), nothing else. Come on guys? Every month Ive called and re-emailed my personal renters insurance and ******************** information to ensure they remove the repeated erroneous charges. Every month I have to work with them, which essentially means talking to several very rude CSRs or account services individuals who tell me they have to email someone or call someone else and wait to assist me. The utilities have been in my name for 2.5 years! I keep getting emails about switching the utilities to be under my name and I want to scream, because, again, utilities have been in my name since I moved in with Pathlight 2.5 years ago. Thank goodness I havent had any work orders - I am sure that would be a very frustrating experience. Tricon refused to give me a move-in conditions form to record the problems that have existed since we moved in, and Id bet money they dont have our original one from Pathlight. I cannot imagine a business being run this way. Im leaving this review on this site hoping someone realizes that all of this should be investigated, or at least their stakeholders should be advised how horrible this experience is for residents, especially ones who were switched from Pathlight.Review fromEmiley L

Tricon bought out pathway and it has been c*** ever since. I have put in multiple requests for all of my appliances because every single one of them has some electrical issue and after having the request in the app for about two weeks, it just drops. my most recent one is the dishwasher. I have been without a dishwasher for over a month and I have called multiple times and when they finally would get back to me after the third call, they claim that the work order fell through the cracks and they completely forgot about me. I am still calling almost daily to try to get an update only to never be able to get through to anybody. This is ridiculous when we have to pay so much rent for s***** service.Tricon Residential

We understand how frustrating it is to feel like work orders are not being addressed, especially when it comes to essential appliances. After reviewing our records, we currently do not have any open work orders for this address, and our team has not been able to reach Ms. ****** despite multiple attempts.
We want to resolve this as quickly as possible and encourage Ms. ****** to please respond to our calls or reach out directly so we can reopen any needed requests and make sure the necessary repairs are completed.

1 starPLEASE read this post in full and NEVER rent from this company!! My a/c went out on June 16th. It was 85 degrees in the home and I have a special needs child. I call Tricon for ******* children and I had to stay with a friend. I called the regular number and non-emergency number. NO ONE called me back until Thursday. On Friday an HVAC technician told me he was coming..I took off work. They arrived for 15 minutes and left saying they had to get some wire. I stayed home from work.they never returned and never answered my calls. My house stayed 85 degrees and I continued to call TriCon with no response. On Monday at 1pm I was told they were coming back out. I left work and rushed home. I stayed for a while and ran back to work then came back home. They fixed the a/c and said it was only a $25 part. The next day my son found over $200 in cash missing from his piggy bank, which was beside his bed. I then noticed my $2,000 national championship ring was missing along with tools and credit cards. I received alerts my credit cards were being used. I called Tricon..no one answers as always. They call back a day later. No one alologized. No one offered to help in any way. I filed a police report (************* in ********) Case 2025-18156. They worked with ************ to recover some of my stolen items. A warrant has been issued for the HVAC technician. Ive called Tricon over 7 times. NO ONE EVER ANSWERS. Theyll call you back hours or days later. No apology, no offer to help. They could care less. The guy who stole from me is scheduled to go on Crime Stoppers this week. PLEASE DONT EVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. I have asked for ANY form of help or compensation. Nothing. 1 starOvercharged deposit, $150 for some guy name Axle to give us the keys on a digital lock... Probably the reason we got covid. Offered help and now because of a " clerical" error, I assume, they sent mail to the address we moved from after repeatedly verifying our new address and that's were this letter would be sent. But they can't do anything now and neither can the post office even though there is a 2D QR code on the red postage paid stamp!!!! This feels insidiousnessly stupidReview fromTrey M

1 starI have been looking at properties to rent and I found a house that my family likes. Weve previously owned homes and sold everything and traveled a few years we were wanting a house from Tricon the home was enough for my family but could tell its a flipper house. Paint running down walls, faucets and cabinets loose. But the kicker to it all they want to charge you unnecessarily fees like smart home $35, along with washer and dryer $35 and $44 each pet is insane. To go onto your already rent. The house was listed a few years ago and went 6 months without being rented and they dropped it over $500 in the span on 6 months recently theyve been lowering the home $40-$50 every 6 days and I told them to drop the house to a set amount to offset the fees or get rid of the fees as I own my own stuff and do not need to be forced to have their equipment. Every person I spoke with was rude and could not get me to an actual person who could help. It shocks me because its been on the market for months clearly its not working and Im offering $130 less than what theyre initially asking theyre willing to lose several thousand monthly vs $130 on fees it shows as a company that they dont care about their renters theyre forcing extra fees and on people. For instance the 4% increase in rent after 18 months. Why would you punish a long term renters why would you not cut someone slack considering if you do have some in your home that is taking care of it, it makes more sense to keep them. Coming from someone who used to rent out my own property. I truly dont think Ive seen a worse company. Their communication is lacking terribly hopefully someone steps up and changes it or theyll be bought out in a few years because clearly it hasnt been working for them.Review fromJenna L

1 starThey do not care about anyone. Divorced mom with 4 kids. They want 3x the amount of rent. Thats $9000 a month. No single parent can make that amount as a working class individual. I could pay the whole year up front and they wont take it. Theres no room for help. Worst company to work with for a unique situation. If you are the picture perfect person they will accept you if not dont bother even calling they DO NOT CARE ANOUT YOU!!Review fromKenneth G

1 starI would leave a 0 if possible. Every time I have a maintenance issue it is never handled accordingly. I was without AC for almost 2 weeks in 90 degree heat with pets at home and Tricon couldnt care less. They did not resolve the issue in a timely manner. Now my dishwasher has no power, I submitted a request 13 days ago and the issue still hasnt been fixed. Now it is FLOODING and I was told this is not considered an emergency. The maintenance supervisor **** is unprofessional and unresponsive. Never returned any of my calls or cared to follow up.
