      I have watched PennyMac go from horrible to OMG what are they doing. This is my 3rd mortgage with PennyMac and not by choice. It never fails that my mortgages get sold to this completely incompetent and horrifying customer service company.
      They are hiring kids that are supposedly "customer service specialists" that treat their clients horribly. When you request to speak with a supervisor that get an attitude and threaten to hang up on you until you remind them that they are on a recorded line and then they are like victim.
      They hold your money and won't release escrow funds even when they know that they're wrong until you begin escalating complaints. These guys are pathetic.

      We had a great experience throughout the entire process. Our loan officer called every few days, had immediate answers to our questions and kept us informed of the approval process every step of the way. This is our 3rd loan with PennyMac and we couldn't be happier.

      I've had a mortgage with PennyMac for two years. They are an excellent service, always looking to provide me the best rates. I recently reached out to them to take an equity loan. They were very patient throughout the whole process, explaining what documents I need, and we got the loan approved!
      I feel very safe in PennyMac's hands for my mortgage needs.

      I am very pleased with PennyMac. PennyMac not only offers one of the lowest mortgage interest rates but also the best customer service. The loan officers and the loan specialists remained constant contact with me throughout the process and ensured all my questions were answered. This is my 2nd mortgage loan with PennyMac and if/when I need another mortgage in the future, PennyMac will definitely be on the very top of my list.

      They were very helpful and understanding at the beginning of the process, but after they received my paperwork I didn't hear from them again at all. They did get everything taken care of though.

      If I could give 0 stars, I definitely would.
      Literally the worst mortgage company I have ever dealt with. My mom cosigned on my house and had since filed bankruptcy. I spend several hours every month on the phone with pennymac correcting resets they keep making to my account without my knowledge in regards to her bankruptcy. Just recently, they just canceled my autopay which had been established for over a year post bankruptcy without notice. Then tried to charge late fees for their doing in canceling my autopay. We have even had my mom's bankruptcy lawyer send penmymac a letter stating the house was not included in the bankruptcy. I can't wait to no longer be their customer

      My home loan was with PennyMac and I had refinanced before with them. This time, the process was mishandled, incorrect information was told to us and in the end it cost us more money because of the delays.
      The costumer service was poor during a cash refinance, lack of communication and when we did receive any, no one person could give us an answer. The numbers in the loan kept changing and the whole process was poorly handled. Not sure I would return to PennyMac next time.

      Terrible company. I can't even create a registration online to pay and view my mortgage. I've called customer support and they said they would "send it to the appropriate" people to help. And I asked so is someone going to contact me to help me with this since you can't, or what am I supposed to do? They said sure, we can have someone follow up in a few days (they told me this past Thursday they would call). Nothing. And I still cannot login. It gets to step 5 and the Registration button just keeps spinning after I've entered in my loan number, last four of SSN, etc. Completely useless customer service and horrible website. I'll be trying to get my loan transferred with someone else ASAP. Do not choose them if you have a choice. I wish I had and hadn't been stuck with this joke of a company.

      I was applying for a home equity loan and I was very pleased with the service. They also hold my first mortgage, no complaints. Did not take long and they made it very simple. Closing was at my home which was very convenient. Based on my experience with both loans, I would highly recommend.
