  Harbor Freight sold me a cheap gas can that broke apart and fell into the tank of my new **** Deere riding lawn mower (12 hours on mower). Had to have tank removed and emptied to clean out the debris. Meanwhile, I had to pay to have the grass cut while mower was in shop. HF only offered to reimburse for half of the repair bill. They are cheaters! I will not sign their agreement for my silence.

  I just purchased a $150 dollar portable air compressor and turned it on and it immediately stopped running. I took it back to the store and was informed that I had to pay a $27 restocking fee to return it even though I had only owned it for less than 20 hours.This is a terrible policy as there is no way they can "restock" a non working item. I have tried talking to the customer service to which they said "too bad" I will never set foot in this company again.

  I had bought a multifunction ladder a few months ago from their ********* ** store when it was on sale. Today the first time I opened to use and I saw paint drips, dirty lubricant and scratches all over the ladder. Really Harbor Freight, for your customers safety, you should not sell the used or return items as new one without inspection and warning, etc. Now its too late to return. I am really disappointed.

  Harbor Freight Corporation not only condones a store manager yelling the * word at a customer, it also supports unlawful acts including the store manager making a false report to police in order to get a customer arrested and put into jail.This is the truth. This occurred on August 9, 2023 at the Harbor Freight store location in *********** ******. My then 86 year old father was witness to the events. All the store manager had to do was allow us back in line to do the rain check purchase that we tried to get done to begin with before the manager had us get out of line. He was wrong about making us lose our place and having to endure wasting our time to go back to the shelving area where I knew nothing new would come about. I purchases two of the exact same items in the prior two weeks and saw t was out of stock four days prior and on that day. But the manager got his ego shattered and decided to put us through a pernicious delaying game, acting like he'd locate one but never did.

  Disappointment.3 day sale. And guess what, the best items suddenly not there.And the store with the correct zip code. *******, **. Says it was In stock.So, my impression is that they lure you, but if it's a worthy item, they put it away in the back to hide them. This already happened to me twice. A in store/ instock item on the website with the correct zip code is always out of stock in the actual city. This is a nuisance because I travel up to ************************************************ stock items. If I call, any of these places, I get no answer. If a business wants to grow don't give your customers false information online.It comes of as an unreliable source. How can I recommend that to potential customers?

  They advertised a coupon worth '25% off any single item' in their store, but, in the fine print of the coupon, they excluded most every product in their store.This is a BAIT AND SWITCH tactic and is intentionally deceptive.

  They use misleading expedited shipping timelines... 2-4 days they say. We placed 1 order for 3 parts, all arriving on different days. The first is supposed to make it on time, the 4th and final day. The second is arriving a day late. The third is arriving 2 business days late, which puts us into the following week. All items ordered work together and do not stand alone, so the 30 dollar partial shipping reimbursement really misses the **** when we are losing thousands of dollars while not being able to complete a project on time.

  Manager **** had terrible disposition when returning a defective item with receipt. Absolutely hates his job and doesn't happily serve the customers who pay his salary - tools are garbage and so is the store. If you want to make money in the community treat the community with respect or go somewhere else and stop ripping people off!They manufacture their tools in *****, then you return it for being defective - they charge a restocking fee. If the item is defective it is not being restocked for sale since it is defective. HOWEVER, the fee covers the cost of building the item SCAM: sell you defective item (make profit), you return with receipt (they charge a restock fee that covers the manufacturing cost anyway), company profits on refunds. In my opinion - FOOD FOR THOUGHT! Stop making *********************!
