I purchased a homeowners policy February 2022. Here we are in October and we just got hit by hurricane *** in my area. Farmers does not want to cover my roof damage. Also, the same day the inspector came out they sent me a notice stating they weren't renewing my policy because it was no longer profitable for them. Or in their terms...exposure management. I have never filed a claim in my life with any insurance company, and the one time I need them this happens. The local office tried to play it off saying that they had my name on a list for a few weeks and that people in my area were getting cancelled due to an increase in fraud. Now I have to fight this or fix the roof on my own before my policy expires because I can't get insurance with hurricane damage to my house. Very shady company.

They do everything in their power to avoid paying claims while insuring people whom are accident prone. My Acura was parked in a parking spot and their insured knocked my entire front bumper off causing damage. They accused ** of accident enhancement because the vehicle was sitting parked and claimed the investigation can take months and to go through our own insurance despite the fact that their client hit and ran.

We thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. A review of the claim file confirms that this was not a hit-and-run and additional investigation is required before we can make a decision on this claim against our insured. No time frame has been discussed, and progress will depend on the progress of the parties involved. Should Ms. Kase have any questions, we encourage her to contact Claims Supervisor Patrick******* at (XXX) XXX-XXXX.

It was in fact a hit and run. Your client hit a parked on Thursday and left no information. My husband tracked him down in the neighborhood and the police had to be called in order to get the information. I tried to contact Patrick and he has not called back. Thanks for your attention.

I am not insured with ******** nor have I ever had a policy. I was contacted by my previous landlord, that moved in to my previous residence once I left. ******** was adding me to my landlord's policy as a "young driver". The burden was on me to prove I no longer lived in the same house. This is predatory, and the agent I contacted said that it was policy and they couldn't do anything about it. I ended up having to supply documents to prove I no longer even lived in the state. There are several things wrong with this: 1. Why would I have to be on her policy for car insurance even if we lived in the same place concurrently? (We never did and I don't own a car.) 2. Why is the burden of proof on me to show I don't live somewhere? Maybe they shouldn't take what ever data scraping metrics they use as proper evidence to increase people's costs. 3. I'm over 30 years old, why would I even be considered a young driver?

I got quoted 168 a month for Bristol West Insurance, a subsidiary of ******** insurance. Everything was great from May to October. I had one major accident on my record in 2020.

July I accidentally scuffed someone's car. It took 2 months for someone to respond to me regarding an update. They claimed the ************* was worth **** dollars on an old vehicle of the other driver. My car had barely visible scuff marks. The reps from Bristol West never provided me documentation proving that the paint job was worth **** hundred dollars. They did not even provide me documentation about the claim. They never called or emailed me with updates. It took forever for my claim representative to call me back and I was surprised she even answered the phone for once regarding my update.

Dear high risk drivers, please do not let these companies scam you into thinking you must pay hundreds of dollars a month for insurance. Especially if you do not have to file an SR22. When my renewal period came, they expect me to pay 300 a month for liability only? Maybe if this company was more honest and transparent about their claims process I would've dealt with the extra hundred buck.

Extremely poor ******** service. I cancelled my homeowners insurance with Farmers on 09/16/2022, and was advised by an email on 09/23/2022 that the refund of the remaining premium had been processed and would be credited back to the credit card I had used to pay the premium. By 09/30/2022, the refund had not appeared so I called Farmers, and the representative said there had been a technical problem on their end in refunding onto my credit card and so an overnight check had been posted to me and should arrive on either 10/01/2022 or 10/03/200 (I have a call ref number). No check arrived. So I called Farmers on 10/04/2022 and spoke to ******* who told me a check had not been sent and the refund had not been credited to my credit card, but she didn't know why and would investigate and call me back. After waiting several hours and still not receiving a call back, I called Farmers again and spoke with *****. Again he did not know the reason for the refund but assured me the matter was being looked into and someone would call back. By 12pm on 10/05/2022 I had still not received a call back, so once again I called Farmers. This time I spoke with ************ (I have a call ref number), and he couldn't find the reason for the lack of refund either. I am awaiting a call back still. How is it so difficult to issue a refund and what is wrong with Farmers system that no-one knows what is going on.

Hello, Farmers did indeed contact us yesterday after a lot of phone calls, emails and leaving reviews on Twitter from us to get them actually do something to resolve the issue. Farmers said that a check was being sent by FedEx yesterday. Well they have said that before and nothing happened. So we asked for a tracking number, and they couldn't provide one, and today still haven't provided proof of posting despite us asking again for one, so as of today there is still no refund issued. In summary the matter is far from "closed" .

Bristol West insurance has been awful to deal with!!! I just had my very first accident in 28 years and the damage entailed approximately $10,000 on a vehicle with an estimated value of $26,000. First they wanted it towed off to Copart for it to be totaled. I did not feel the vehicle should be totaled for that disparity in value. They would never send their own adjuster to get an estimate of repair cost and then claimed they felt our body shops estimate was too high based on a hand full of pictures we sent them. ***** the rep from BW has been terrible to deal with as he blamed me for dragging my feet and him telling us we had no rights and we needed to do just what he said like total the car. I am now 6 weeks into this issue, I have no vehicle to get back and forth to work and they claim that I have no loaner car availability on my policy even though I pay a small fortune a month for ****** coverage. The car is sitting in a body shops lot still untouched with no absolute word on when it will be repaired. I CAN NOT believe that Farmers Insurance associates themselves with Bristol West!!! This has been a nightmare.

It is always our intention to provide excellent service and we apologize for having disappointed the consumer. Unfortunately, the policy purchased did not have rental reimbursement coverage for this loss. We have confirmed that the vehicle is repairable, we have written an estimate, and we are working with the body shop on the approval for some additional items. It is our understanding that the vehicle is considered "in production" and that our handling has not delayed the process at the body shop. The collision repair industry is experiencing nationwide delays with completing vehicle repairs due to supply chain disruption. As a result, the repair industry not only is lacking for parts, paint, and other repair materials but is experiencing labor shortages as well. These delays are not specific to Bristol West, and we want to assure Ms. Johnson that we are working closely with the repair facility to minimize the impact where possible. Please know that getting her vehicle repaired as soon as possible is as important to us as it is to her. Should Ms. Johnson continue to have any questions regarding this claim, she may contact Julian Tovar at (XXX) XXX-XXXX.

I understand what you are saying in response to my complaint, but it does not address the poor ******** service I have received from the very beginning of this claim. As I stated in my original review the service from the claim rep for Bristol was terrible! He accused me of doing things I had no right to do like insisting my car be repaired. At a $26,000 value with only a $10,000 repair bill he wanted my car towed off to Copart for totaling. Bristol never sent an adjuster to look at the vehicle to know firsthand the extent of the damage. They required us to provide pictures. On this coming Friday my car has been sitting, UNTOUCHED, for 7 weeks. I have no car and Bristol drug their feet thru all this process with long delays in responses to my inquiries and an extended period of time to give the body shop permission to even start looking at the vehicle. To add hurt to harm I had to pay the tow company that picked up my car from the accident site just to get it to the body shop. Bristol has still not reimbursed me for the towing. I can't tell you how awful this situation has become. I have not heard from Bristol directly in over a month now. This is ridiculous!

I have had housing insurance with ******** for over a decade and they came through for me when I really needed them the most. In particular, my special claims agent, ************************* was fantastic! He is the main reason I will be recommending ******** to my family and friends. A flooding incident caused by contractor negligence, which ultimately involved ******** Insurance, my HOA, and different legal teams in the pursuit of getting the faulty contractor to take accountability, was a complicated and prolonged process. But thanks to ***************************** effort and follow-through, I was able to make it through the process knowing ******** was taking good care of me. ****** was very responsive over the whole process and never left me wondering what was going to happen. Even while out of the office, he was responsive, clear and patient in his explanations of the current status, and sympathetic to the stress caused to me by the initial incident. Basically, his professionalism sustained my confidence in ******** throughout the ordeal and I am so grateful I am covered by ********. They honor their contracts and support their customers.

I switched to farmers insurance 6 months ago. My quote changed. First month. We lost our 25 yr old son recently. 9/22.Night of funeral service. Our payment was made after service. By 11pm. On 9/20/22. I recieved letter of cancelation. Late fee. Because they processed next day. 9/21/22. This is utterly disgusting. Where is grace ******* Month of August. The farmers representative was so rude to third party. In local area helping with paperwork. Rmv1 form. My husband and I were so embarrassed. Angry at how farmers insurance spoke to and addressed this poor woman. Some one needs to look into how customers and 3rd parties are being treated by this company.

Do not ** this insurance company. My son bought a house and got a policy online. They came out a month after the policy started and flagged 2 items and sent him a notice saying they needed to be fixed or he would be cancelled. They also said he could raise his deductible to $10k if he wanted to keep it. He raised the deductible to that to avoid cancelation until he could fix the 2 items. The next week he received a check for the remainder of the policy and a cancelation notice. We fixed the issues and he called back They stated they would reinstate his policy bit wouldn't lower his deductible back to the $1k it was and said it must remain at $10k. The 2 items weren't even bad with a piece of siding chipped and a few cracks in the driveway they deemed a trip hazard. This company is a joke. Not only did they lose his business but they lost mine also. You fix the items and still want the deductible at $10k. Why? It made no sense and even the underwriter said the same thing. This was his first house and farmers made it stressful as he had to find a new policy after he had already moved in. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Good luck getting a claim paid if this is how they treat a new ********.

Lying though and saying that the deductible and policy would be reinstated as it was purchased when the items were fixed and reneging on that is not a policy. It's more like a scam or bait and switch. Again hopefully more people will see this and decide to go elsewhere for their insurance needs. If the items were fixed to your specifications as they were and you don't reinstate as promised then Farmers didn't live up to its own words that we have directly from you in writing and an email.

It all worked out as he was able to get a policy with better coverage at the same price with a more reputable insurance company.

I have car insurance with Bristol west and my payment went from $189. a month to $539.33 a month. I called them to fund out why it went up so high and they said due to state increase I could understand it going up a little but $350.00 more dollars no. I've been doing quotes on line and nobody else is charging that much.

Records reflect that your premium was impacted in part by a state-wide rate revision. The renewal premium also increased, as your daughter is being rated this term. However, we do not have her driver's license number on file. Please call the company X-XXX-XXX-XXXX at your earliest convenience to discuss this matter and provide their driver's license number.
