    I had canceled my subscription back in January. For some odd reason my account was activated on Feb 20th and I received a delivery and charged over $100. I contacted Green Chef and said I activated my account which I never did. I searched through my emails and found in my junk mail that subscription was canceled on Feb 20th. I sent them proof and **** refused to refund me. They gave every excuse to take my money and never ever cared that this was taken from me. They dont care and will steal from customers.

    I ordered one meal kit from this company several months ago. Recently they sent me another kit that I did not order and charged my debit card $41.57. I called to get a refund but to no avail. The kit they sent had chicken, turkey, and pork. I am a vegetarian. I never received a confirmation email, and had no idea I had been charged until I saw it in my mobile bank app. **************** did not help me at all. I do not have a receipt, just a charge to my bank account.

    On Feb 20th 2023, I found out that I was charged $93.13 from Green Chef without any notice. I did not know I was subscribed to their service since I did not get any email notification indicating Im a subscribed user. I also did not get any notification on this purchase. They charged me without my consent. After communicating with their customer service, they informed me I cannot request a cancellation or refund because Im an active subscriber, which I was not even aware of. I hope I can get my refund and no longer be charged by any purchase that I didnt authorize.

    I signed up for GreenChef and cancelled within 10 minutes on 2/15. I decided I didn't want to use this service because there wasn't a lot of variation between this one and HelloFresh. I received an email with the subject line "You've cancelled your subscription". Well, today (2/20) I was charged for the service. I chatted in to have it refunded because clearly it had to be a mistake. Well, apparently in the fine text of that email confirming cancellation, they hide the fact that they're still going to charge you for the first box... even if it hasn't shipped yet and you've cancelled. That's super shady and dishonest. Don't trust this company. They refused to refund me regardless of their shady practice.

    I cancelled my account after the 5 day shipping window began. I thought I had done it months before obviously I had not. This time I wanted to make sure I did so I called on 2/16/23 to cancel. This was one day after the due date for shipping. I didnt even realize we were getting a box and logged in by accident. I explained to the call representative that I understood that I was after the deadline but that I would not be home this week and I could not get the box and the food would rot in front of my house. When the woman I spoke with assured me it would be donated. I didnt care that I lost the approximately $136.00 I did call after the due date. I understood that they had local suppliers that they couldnt cancel on. What I didnt understand is why they lied about donating the box of food. Today I received an email that my box was shipped and I will be receiving it on 2/21/23. So I call back and was told that customer care has absolutely no way of diverting a box. I asked for their CEOs office contact information and was told the call center does not have it and to look it up on line. I told him I did and there was no contact information. I was also told that my requested for some change in this policy would be noted.

    I recieved a link from a friend to sign up for Green Chef and recieve my first order for around $10.00. Upon signing up, I noticed that it was requesting my card information before I was able to see the food options available. I thought this was suspicious, but since a friend recomended it I though it would be okay. I assumed I could just cancel if I didn't see anything my picky family would like. Unfortunately, we did not like any of the food options on their menu, so within 10 minutes of signing up I cancelled. I checked my bank to see if the money had already been pulled out, which it hadn't. Most comanies do not charge until an order ships. The next morning I noticed they had charged my account a few hours after cancelling. I kindly requested a refund and they told me that since a shipping label was already created (not yet shipped, just created) I couldn't cancel and would be recieving a box full of food that we won't eat. $10 may not seem like much but with inflation every dollar matters in our household.

    I signed up for meal delivery with green chef. A few minutes after signing up, I realized that the info provided was misleading. The site mislead me into believing the animal proteins used we're organic. The moment I found this out I cancelled the order and deactivated the account. This all happened within a matter of minutes. This morning I received an email stating I was to receive my first order. I called GC they refuse to cancel the order, nor were they willing to look at the account to see the history and how I had cancelled the order and deactivated the account all within minutes of signing up.

    My wife and I enjoyed what Greenchef had to offer for a while, but we then noticed the quality of the ingredients was going down, while the price went up. We even received a few meal box shipments that were missing ingredients. So, we decided to cancel our subscription.We completed our cancellation in the late afternoon of 2/12/23, 5 days before the expected delivery of our next meal box (their policy allows for a full refund if the account holder cancels 5 days before the next expected delivery). The next day, we noticed a meal box had been processed under our account, had begun shipment, and that we were charged $113.91, despite our cancellation the previous day. When we contacted Greenchef, they denied that we ever cancelled on that day, and said their records indicated we cancelled at approximately 12:41am on 2/13/23. This was obviously incorrect, as my wife insists she cancelled during the afternoon of the previous day. Now, we've been charged for food we don't want, and this seems predatory.According to other posters on the BBB website, this is not the first time this has occurred with customers. I'm really hoping I can get refunded.

    I logged onto the green chef app to skip weeks as I was out of town and had other stuff going on. I skipped 4 weeks in a row. I logged into the account to see what the meals were for the next few weeks and saw that I was already charged for the 2/16 delivery - which I skipped. It was preselected meals that was good I couldnt even eat - though I set my dietary preferences. I went on the chat and spoke to an agent asking to please cancel. I was told that they cant cancel the order even though it isnt shipping for several days. I was told the best they could do is give a half refund. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told they would call me within 30 minutes. No call of course. I asked to cancel and was given the run around that I can skip weeks. Well, I did skip weeks yet was still charged. I would like a refund for the week I did not order and to cancel me account.

    I subscribed to Green Chef delivery on Jan 29, 2023 through a ******** promo to receive the first few boxes at an introductory rate. My first delivery was scheduled for Feb 3, 2023. After reaching out multiple times, we finally received the box on Tuesday, Feb 7th. As it had been shipped on Feb 1, and the perishable contents were warm, we decided it was not safe to eat. Green Chef confirmed that their deliveries are only guaranteed fresh for 48 hours.I contacted Green Chef on Feb 4th and was told that I could not receive a refund for this box due to the fact that I joined with a promo rate. I was instead offered a credit of $103.92 on my next delivery which was scheduled for Feb. 10th. On Feb 11th, I reached out to Green Chef again as my order was not received on the 10th and I have been charged for it as well as the original spoiled box. It is my understanding that the second box shipped on Feb 7, therefore would no longer be guaranteed fresh even if received by end of today (11th). To avoid continued charges for unreceived items, I canceled my Green Box account effective today Feb 11, 2023. I am requesting refund for both payments totaling $140.89 made to Green Chef to date for items not received as agreed upon.
