Worst Company ever when it comes to customer service. They try their best to ignore you when requesting home warranty repairs.

After living in our new Richmond built home for two years, we discovered that the shower was not done incorrect. Prior to the big issue we discovered they had come out to fix the subpar tile work in the shower 5 times. We started to have baseboard swelling, behind that was black mold everywhere because of the faulty installation of our shower. To which Richmond dispatched a black mold remediation team who assured us that they had removed it all.Only to find out while redoing the shower an abundance of BLACK MOLD was still under the shower floor pan! We also found it had spread under our hard wood in our bathroom! We are a young family that had to spend an extreme amount of money to redo our shower and bathroom, after spending our life savings two years ago on a brand new home! Not only that but our familys health has suffered an extreme amount from this. Starting with our newborn having extreme breathing issues after bringing him home from the hospital. We have two young children and we have all been sick for months!!!! Its absolutely unacceptable that Richmond home builders can get away with providing this kind of build quality.

I have currently been living in this new build home for 60 days. We had a final walkthrough of the house and identified numerous issues. During this walkthrough we were told that there will be another walk with the warranty point of contact (N.M.) at the 30-day ***** We had issues immediately with some of the electrical work. The brand-new dryer got delivered and it tripped the breaker every time we turned the appliance on. I got in contact with N.M. and he automatically stated, its your dryer and it needs to be rewired. After several attempts and consulting with an outside master electrician I was astonished with the amount of disrespect. The closing on the home was delayed because there was a new code requirement for a certain coil to be installed. I understand delaying a closing is common and I can appreciate trying to get things corrected prior to closing. There was a larger square cut into the wall for the installation of the coil. I was told that it would be fixed and there will be a 30-day walkthrough to get issues fixed. I still had/have the stickers on walls/railings/banisters/closets/flooring throughout the house and he/Richmond American Homes is not responsible for fixing the issues. This includes the square that was cut into the wall. The kitchen island and entryway has warped walls that I pointed out. He told me that the warranty booklet allows for a certain degree of warping. The transition strip for the flooring is like having nails go into our feet. N.M. said that we should hammer it down or learn to step over it. I have been in contact with N.M. on numerous phone calls and he continues to give me a run around. The most recent call was more of the same, but this time he told me that he couldnt find my final walkthrough documentation. I asked him a second time about the final walk paperwork, and he then stated that the new project manager said there was nothing noted on the paperwork. I started to read reviews concerning Richmond American Homes

Buyer beware!!!! I am so disappointed with Richmond American Homes ******************** This is my fourth new build, so I am not a novice when it comes to a new built home. I moved in my home July 2023 and took over 100 pictures of the entire building process, including the landscaping process. Residents are required by the *** to have a fence and yard installed within six months. I hired a highly recommended landscaping service, and my yard was completed by the beginning of October 2023. There are four homes on my block, and they all used the same landscaping company. We were all very cautious to ensure there was no re-grading of our properties. We haven't had much snow where I am located and when the last wet snow that came through February 3rd and 4th, the soil and rock in the window well sunk, and I have a sink hole in front of the window well and the dirt next to the foundation is sinking. I contacted Richmond America Warranty and sent several pictures (pre-backfill of the home, post backfill, and after the landscaping was complete) and they denied the claim stating it was my choice to landscape and that the landscaping company is liable. I contacted the landscaping company and a concrete specialist, and they both said it was laughable, because it is very obvious by the pictures that it was the entry point of the excavator, and the soil is loose and was not compacted properly. The landscaping company just laid cloth and rock on top and there was zero re-grading done on any of our yards. I expect Richmond America to fix this problem before there is structural damage to my home. Richmond America should realize by now social media is a powerful tool!!

I have had a terrible experience with Richmond and their sales agent *******************. I cannot believe the nerve this individual has to tell my wife and I the things shes mentioned. Ex: I would encourage a real estate agent to help educate me on specific details when they denied us using a real estate agent! Thats just one of many this shark of a woman has said. Completely vague answers every single time with no clarity. She made it seem very nice in the initial meeting searching for a new build and switched up on us once ******* money was given! Please be aware of this individual and I do not recommend doing business with this company!

Buyer beware on Home Warranty. It's a gimmick. They will put you off to wait until the end of the year when its too late and your warranty is up. I did not wait and submitted all requests only NOT to receive responses and to be totally ignored. I have copies of all emails, records of call after call placed, messages left all the way up to every number listed only to be left with numerous issues. Can't recommend the workmanship quality.

I am absolutely blown away by the lack of care that Richmond homebuilder has for their customers. I have been completely understandable about delays and things like that with everything going on so my one year walk-through was delayed and that was fine but I have not heard anything in almost 3 months after they left my house from the one year walk-through Ive sent emails and filled out another ************* form on the website And still have not been reached out to. I dont mind if the things that are getting replaced or delay as long as they are booked and I know that someone is taking care of them the fact that Ive been in my house for over a year and it literally looks like its 15 years old is unacceptable. with my previous homebuilding experience, Richmond is by far the worst.

I'm having a very frustrating and bad experience with Richmond American Homes Homes in *****************, especially with how some leaders in this area are handling delays. It's disheartening to see that they seem to prioritize their own interests over building a relationship with their customers.

Very disappointed in Richmond Homes. Bought new home in Copper Leaf in Aurora. HORRIBLE customer service, we have final walkthrough items that still have not been fixed. We have been in home 15 months! We have spent ****** fixing items they refuse to fix, i.e. failing retaining wall, driveway sinking flaking, step falling away from porch. When driveway was replaced, at our expense there was no road base put down and no rebar used in the original driveway pour. Richmond put retaining wall in, when it sunk several inches they refused to fix, how can that be?I cant count the number of appointments where no one showed to make repairs. No phone calls nothing. Just dont show up.Richmond says you have a one year warranty. You will not get things done. There are so many other builders, look elsewhere. Dont put your hard earned money in Richmond!DO NOT BUY RICHMOND HOME
