      Overwrought with scams, apparently not a new thing for them. My email was used by someone opening accounts annd I kept getting verification emails. It took 35 minutes of being on hold and over 20 minutes of no, Im not a customer, nor do I want to be. Remove my information from the system. to get them to just deactivate my email.

      There is NO WHERE IN THE USA where you can actually cash a Western Union money order! They DO NOT HAVE ANY AGREEMENT with any retailer in the USA! Huge SCAM! They, absolutely, 100 percent should not be allowed to do business in this country!

      I had read terrible reviews about this company, but I was able to make my first money transfer without too many issues (I had to try several times, call customer service and wait for an unreasonable amount of time). I needed to send the money and it seemed a reasonable option. I took a chance and, alas! the money got to its destination within the timeframe promised. So, I decided to try it again. What a nightmare!! I tried the transaction about five etimes, each time it gave me an error code. I called customer service again, waited about ******************************************************************************** that the only way to complete the transfer would be to go in person to a ** counter. Later I tried the transaction again and failed. So, this time I used the live chat option. The answers I received this time, all of them carefully scripted were contradictory, some of them were that I needed to change the payment method, and the other that I needed to go to a ** counter in person. *** I asked why the same method had worked last week, the reply was the same script. I guess I was chatting with an AI robot. My recommendation to all is: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, UNLESS YOU HAVE A HIGH TOLERANCE FOR FRUSTRATION.

      I echo the many reviews here with their comments. Ive had many, many issues with Western Union over the last many year. This most recent experience, however, was one of the worst.Beware - If you hold a bank account with no brick and mortar location you will not be able to deposit Western Union MO anymore. Your only option is to cash the money order (if you can get a retail location to do that).Beware - They will hold your cash for a minimum of ***** hours before youre able to cash a MO without your knowledge or consent.Beware - Most retail locations have no idea about these significant changes to their policies. Ive had to endure much of the same concerns already noted here but its also worth mentioning that every senior level management that I spoke with at two ******* locations didnt know about any of this.Western Union is deceptive in their practices, and holds customers hostage with rules and policies that are not clearly noted ANYWHERE on their Money Order documents.I will never use their service again.

      I would not even give one star or a bucket of **** for this company. I purchased a money order and was told to wait for a refund on the 13th which is today. Well now they're saying I have to wait until my "request" is processed in which takes another 5-10 business days. I have both money order and receipt in hand. They use ******* to sell their money orders but ******* cannot refund or override to refund and western union wants me to go to ACE which is 3 hours away on top of being charged $15+ to cash it. They took 30 seconds to take my money yet nearly a month to review for a refund. Its a complete waste of space of a business. Please close this business! If it wasn't for me having extra money this month; I'd be out in the streets homeless as that is part of my rent.

      $500 money order purchased on 5/30/24 was lost by recipient on 6/9. I filed refund request. Followed up(phone call) 7/19 was told refund check would go out on 7/28. Followed up again(phone call) on 8/9 and was told check went out on 6/28 and shouldve been recd 7/10??? Had to go to a different **** and new case # issued follow up in ***** hours I called on 8/12..was told (and reiterated) that my check will be received by Wednesday(8/14) 8/19(Monday) no check recd so I called againwill expedite refund. Why cant the $$ just be put back into my acct? Now, I will receive an email with instructions/answer?? ** has stolen MY moneyif I stole their money, I would be in JAIL What happened to customer service in the goodol USA?!!Does the left hand even know what the right hand is doing and, do the folks in the *********** even know the difference between June and July??They have MY moneyWill I ever see it again? What shouldve been resolved in 30 days (their claim) has now taken almost 90!! They should be in jail!!

      The fact that its not clear that you have to wait 30 days for them to even look at a refund request for a money order is insane especially when you have all of your documents and they also charge you to get a refund which is ludicrous this should be something in bold or told to you before you purchase many people are on fixed income and most use money orders to pay rent if you make one mistake on that refund they will not return it they will give you the run around and tell you they have 30 days to acknowledge your refund you have to pay $15.00 and then and only then you will receive a refund if they approve it so now you might be outta $15 plus whatever amount the money order is and in my case $920 and Im on a fix income now I have an eviction and late fees and they still havent told me if I can get a refund even though they see everything in the system Im a single mother of four one child is disabled where are we supposed to go Thanks robbing my family by the way I been a loyal customer for over 10 years and now I will do everything in my power to tell people not to use this service

      PEOPLE Needs to STOP using Western Union, This company is a scam and has been for the past few years. I requested a refund on my $1000 money order last month and every other day I am told a different story. They keep telling me stories like " We have not heard any updates from your refund ma'am we are still waiting for your request to process, I would call again in less than an hour and I will be told that your check was sent last Friday please allow 7-14 business days. This does not make sense at all and the people who answer the phone barely speaks any english.The authorities needs to look into Western Union they might be running the biggest PONZI Scam right under their nose. I can guarantee that there's is no check coming for me on the mail anytime soon, this is just another one of their fraudulent games.

      Worst customer service. They have been sitting close to three weeks for a money transfer. Now, after I complained, they are telling me they are escalating to management for review. Still no money has been transferred while they took out money from my US account a while back
