I contracted Moving solutions to move my belongings from downingtown pa to ********* AL ( move to hapoen on June 4, 2024) i dealt with an employee named ***************************. I zelked them $895.00 as a deposit. My contract states that if i cancel within 7 calendar days if the schefuled move i will be fully reimbursed. I canceled today May 23 2024 (12 calendar days prior to the scheduled move) and they are refusing to reimburse me my $895.00 deposit. They are alsi refusing to take my phone calls. That is absolutely not true. We do over 3000 moves a year, for many years, and have very few complaints.
When you move 1 mile, and especially when you move thousands of miles, scratches, dents, dings can happen; that is why we have a claims process.
We also warn more then 14x on every job that furnishing more goods or needing more services will increase the bill. We do not want an increase, it does not increase the profit disproportionately to the costs in a positive manner. More often than not it costs us more to have additional items on pickup day because we have to compensate or reschedule other clients on our routes.

All provided information is a rough estimate of actual events from memory. I received a quote for $2300 for a 1 bedroom house with very little furniture which I thought was more than fair for the service being provided.After calling to schedule the actual pickup they told me the quote was now $2900 and I need to pay them a deposits of $1600 and they cannot use debit or credit cards. At this point I should have canceled the service and hired a different company. On the pickup date, a truck arrived an hour after the scheduled time with only 1 mover. The said the other movers where on the way yet they never arrived, the packing went well however after he finished the company sent me an invoice for $5600 and said that I had more than they expected even tho we went over it on the phone at least 4 times. I paid them. I sent them a check and they called me several times a day asking for money and the moment they were paid, they didnt call again. I had to call them to ask for my belongings and they told me they didnt know where they were or when I would get them. Days later I was called to be told I would receive them tonight, but they needed to charge me $750 to move my goods from truck to truck and an additional $75 per step per staircase. I flat out told them no. They havent called and I have not received the service I overpaid for. They charge you exceedingly for their logistical failures or just because and communication is nonexistent. Hire literally anybody else for a better and more affordable experience. I do not know if there is anything to be done but I feel as if I have not been rendered the service that was promised and I was purposely lied to and now they are leveraging my assets to attempt to extract more money from me. I am rejecting this response because: they do not have the term BROKER anywhere on their web site. They gave me an estimate based on a list and videos that I emailed. Imagine my surprise when a totally different company was the one that did the actual moving. Battery moving and storage was the company that did the job, and they were great. The ******* informed me that my deposit was actually a broker fee, and I shouldve contacted them directly instead. Their defense of I did this and didnt do this is no excuse for the fact that they are a BROKER that has no ability to do an actual physical measurement of your property and give you an accurate price. This company has MANY complaints just like mine. The only thing they could possibly do to keep me from spreading the word of how crooked they are is for a complete refund of my deposit and to tell the truth on their website, that they are a BROKER. And cannot give you any accurate figures.

Sorry you are unhappy. We advised you prior to pickup you had additional items that your wife did not provide to the estimator. You declined the adjustments on ** and now state that the actual was exactly what the ** was.
We were hired as a broker and got a licensed and insured mover to your house on your window. You signed the movers BOL with us more then 72 hours prior to pickup. People throw the work broker around like it's a bad word, insurance broker, mortgage broker, stock broker, are all good services but they are not in an industry where people devalue the work and have competition talking negatively on each other. We did the job you hired us to do, we advised more items would be more. Consequentially the refund request is denied.

On 3/30/24, one of the worst experiences of my life started. I hired Moving Solutions, aka Top Moving Solutions, on 1/29/24 to move me from ***** to Arkansas. I want to say that I have been in *********** for 30 years and have NEVER written a complaint or bad review, but I want to do everything possible to keep someone else from ever going through what I went through. First of all Moving Solutions is a BROKER, which is not clear at all when you talk to them. They take your information about your move, the items that will be moved, discuss pricing....and in my case as it appears now, they ended up agreeing on a price that would work for me and that I would give them a deposit for on that day. They then have another party show up on the actual move day that was more than double my agreed to price. I had to rent a second truck myself to hold the items I had already told them as part of my move and ultimately the $3900 move turned into a $7500-$8000 move, as I was in the worst position possible on the actual day of the move to get it all done. The people at Moving Solutions were not returning my calls, and I just had to move forward with the third party they brokered out to me. That company was actually good, but were caught in the middle of my horrible situation. I was by myself, as my husband passed away from Covid a couple of years ago, and I was moving to be closer to family in another State. Trust me in saying this has been horribly handled and consumers should NEVER "just give this company a try" as they seem "reasonable" with the amount they will tell you your move will be. PLEASE BEWARE. In this instance I just want my initial $1582.00 from Top Moving Solutions as they were the initial contact and did nothing for that money but set me up for an unforgivable situation that me and another third party had to deal with.Business Response

You had to have a second truck come to handle the extra capacity. Please be fully accurate in your complaint and include these important facts. I am rejecting this response because: even the original quotes 720 cubic feet wouldn't have fit for all the original items listed, I ended up having to pay an extra ***************************************************** prior estimates with OTHER companies I've done a video call to discuss my inventory and was quotes for about ***** k. If I wasn't intentionally deceived by this company I would have been able to save almost $4000 k by choosing another company. I would like a FULL refund of the money provided to this BROKER, as the rest of the payment goes to the actual movers (M&R Expedite Mover & Storage LLC) who were contracted by the above business and thus far haven't been deceptive in their practices and have been 100% transparent from the time of pick up. If I do not receive a full refund I will absolutely take this to arbitration, which according to the estimate contract must be filed in Broward county, which fortunately is not very far for me.

Given the number of complaints, this company is knowingly and intentionally misrepresenting themselves and scamming people out of their money. Additionally, I was sent a contract with a different LLC to be signed prior to the move, but the e-mail signature included Top Moving Solutions as the company. Looking at the contract now I am noticing that there is a different DOT# listed on the contract. And the movers who arrived to move the items also had a different DOT#. So it appears our move was contracted through 3 different companies. $200.00 - Credit card is only accepted for deposits in most instances, personal checks can be used on pick up when deliveries are scheduled to be longer than 3 business days, otherwise pick up and delivery must be a certified form of payment for direct deliveries. I am rejecting this response because:Everything in our communication implied that YOUR COMPANY are the mover. When in fact YOU are only a broker. And you straight up lied and said that youre not only a broker, you also have your own moving company and they would be doing the move.
You contract out to the lowest bidder. I paid premium prices, for subpar services. You could care less how much stuff there actually is, which is why you dont do FaceTime during the inventory call or have a visiting assessment. Because once you have your money, which you made sure you got before all of this, its no longer your problem. And then once the movers get to your home, youre basically stuck because youve made a bunch of plans for an interstate move that arent easily changed. And then suddenly you no longer answer your phone so willingly.
Then the second part of this SCAM is the moving company shows up, realized the BROKER completely low balled the estimate and jacks up the price to a more likely price that youd probably get from one of the major van lines. Then they start filling the truck and have half your stuff on, make it look ****** than it is, and then tell you they need to renegotiate the bill of lading because you actually need more space, so you need to pay more money. And at this point youre kind of stuck because its 12am and you just want the whole ordeal over with. Then they take your stuff, and theres limited communication from the moving company about your stuff. I had to call several times, and then have my husband call because they didnt respect females and still got limited responses as to what was going on with our stuff. Until 12 hours before when they planned to arrive. They give you a window, and didnt even show up during the window. Then the one guy shows up in a truck, tells you have to pay and expects you to pay without seeing your stuff and expects you to sign the receipt right there. (Which I refused to sign, but I did pay the rest of the money after having the guy show me that it was actually my stuff on the truck) . The guys lies and says the other people got stuck in traffic and construction. Which was a blatant lie because they hired someone from Handy or something like that and were just buying time. So you wait another 2 hours for other people to show up. Then the other people turns out to be one person. The driver expected that one guy to do all the work. Then also find out that the truck that was filled to the brim when it left, now suddenly has other items from other people on it.
In the midst of all of the this, the *** number on the bill of lading I signed once my stuff was picked up IS NOT approved for interstate moves.
I want my money that was paid to the BROKER as your services were absolutely not as advertised. And you do not properly vet contractors that you contract with. And have deceptive business practices as you only require a list of items without physically seeing them to give an ACCURATE estimate for the move. I would be going after the actual moving company if all of my important items didnt arrive in one piece, despite other cheaper furniture and lamps being broken. I wish I went with my gut and canceled this move from the beginning and hired one of the major REPUTABLE van lines for peace of mind during an already stressful time. I would have paid the same amount of money for actual professional movers and insurance for my stuff to be replaced in the event that it was broken.

I am rejecting this response because: my complaints are not baseless, and your justification proves it. Since the *** I signed 72 hours before didn't have your company or the carrier who did pick up my belonging and deliver my stuff. Plus, you lied to me verbally over the phone, where there is no documentation of it. You know exactly what you are doing, and conduct business in a very unethical way.This company is a bunch of professional con artists, who dishonestly solicit your business, they low ball you to get you to sign on with them. Then when you have limited options on the day of the move, you fully take advantage of the customers vulnerability and **** up the price knowing that the probability of the customer canceling is not as great due the logistics involved in an interstate move.
Anyone reading this - realize in the end you will be paying the same price as major van lines so save yourself the headache and don't cheap out. Ultimately you pay professional prices for unprofessional subpar movers. Also look up red flags of unprofessional/ dishonest moving companies. ***************************************************** because this company checks all the boxes. Because I'm the a**** who didn't due my due diligence as much as I should have when researching movers and this company. And whats involved in an interstate moving process.

On 02/02/2024 ********** quoted my move from ******* to ******* **. for a total of $2,387 (job number: I3098373883) I paid a $1,561.32 deposit. Pick-up would be on February 18, between 10 am and 12 pm. Apparently these people hire other companies to do the pick **** When the driver texted to let us know that he was on his way, it turns out that was a company that I had previously contracted and with whom I have been trying to resolve a claim for more than six months. Their claim included overcharging money, lost items and the ones that I received were destroyed. I immediately called The Moving solutions to let them know that I could not give my belongings to these people because I already had a claim with them. There was no way to cancel the pickup in advance because the driver called while he was on his way. Of course, I didn't give my items to them. Now, The Moving Solutions want an additional $1,000 to reschedule the move, because I cancelled them. According to Moving Solutions, the people in charge of my pick up are responsible and trustworthy. I called customer service trying to reach Mac, who was the sales person working with me. The person in customer service was rude and, unprofessional. The lady told me not to wait for ************ call because he was not calling me. If I don't give them additional $1,000 they will keep my deposit $1,561.32. The lady hung up the phone on me after telling me that I need to give the $1,000.Business Response

You furnished additional items, others do as well which is why we go to great lengths to harp on the fact that doing so would increase the cost no less then 20 times before pickup.
your statement about many others would be true, but the percent of customers those reviews reflect is .007 , we complete over 5000 moves a year. And they all got the same 20 warnings you did.
