I had a bundle service with CenturyLink and DirecTV in *********, ** and all my payments were to CenturyLink. I closed my account effective 1 August 2024. During the period of 1 August 2024 until 27 November 2024 I never received any correspondence from CenturyLink reference my billing. On 28 November 2024 (Thanksgiving Day) I received an email from CenturyLink stating that I had a balance on my account of $266.80. Upon contacting their customer service I was told that they sent out a final billing notice on 2 August 2024. I never received any mailed correspondence or emails until I received the email sent on 28 November 2024. I requested that they send me the billing statement in question, and I was told that it would be a $6.00+ charge to mail me the statement. I asked if they could email it to me and I was told that they were unable to email it, which made no sense since they had emailed me the notice of the outstanding balance. The amount ($266.80) was what ******* charged me on the last statement. My July 2024 payment of $325.31 to CenturyLink ($266.80 for DirecTV, $55.00 for CenturyLink and $3.51 for local taxes) cleared my account on July 16, 2024. I received three statements from ******* dated 29 August 2024, 29 September 2024 and 29 October 2024 stating that I had a credit of $35.03. The CenturyLink customer service representative was of no help. All he did was apologize and tell me that if I didnt pay then it would be forwarded to collections. I asked to speak to a supervisor and at first he said that his supervisor wasnt available because they were on the phone, then after a long wait he came back on the phone and said his supervisor was now in a meeting. I have great credit and the only debt I have is my mortgage. I dont appreciate anyone or company threatening my credit. My next move is to post to the ************ website and let every Active duty, retiree and veteran know what my experience was dealing with CenturyLink/***** Technologies.

Can you leave a star rating? Holy cow, the same experience as other reviews. No show on installation (2x) and they dont even let you know. Dont be lured in by text messages saying an installer will show up. Two wasted days of waiting. There are other alternatives: ******** Starlink, etc.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is a joke. Terrible internet and even more terrible business practices. Need to cancel mid month and they do not offer a proration. Sticking you with the full month for nothing is a joke. This business needs to be looked into for fraudulent claims on it's internet speeds and performance along with the gouging of their "customers". If you have options other than ********************** in your neighborhood, go that route.

On 11-27-24 CenturyLink sent out 3rd party contractors at my home address. They said they were digging a new fiber line to my house and they proceeded to illegally cross into my neighbors yard without consent to dig up the line. They did not verify the line was working after and they took off. I have contacted CenturyLink and they stated that the line is not functioning and the soonest tech is available on December 5. Mind you, i already had fiber installed and my service was working fine, so they did not need to dig a new line. CenturyLink is unable to credit me the difference and wanted me to pay ***** a month for a wire protection plan when i contacted the chat support. I need my service to be restored and/or to be given a partial month credit as compensation

We have been a customer of ********************** for as long as they have serviced the Scappoose, ****** area. They are the only phone ****************** service available unless you go with satellite service. We have had nothing but terrible service for our internet and have called so many times because of service interruptions - sometimes going days without service, slow service or service that randomly goes in and out. In September, after spending an entire weekend out of service, the technician I spoke with indicated that I needed a new, updated modem - at the cost to me of over $200. I ordered the modem and the service didn't improve, in fact it got worse. They finally sent a technician out to our house. He checked the service and found that we were not getting a good signal to the house and left to go do whatever they do to their equipment offsite. We had service improvements for about a week after that, but then it started working poorly again. We called again and he came back out and said that we probably needed to replace the line going into the house because he couldn't find where the issue was because when he was there it was working. WE replaced the line into the house and it made absolutely no difference. We are now being charged $99 for the service call because they said it was an issue within our house, when it was not. So after being charged close to $300 for trying to improve a service that still didn't work we finally gave up and canceled the service. Centurylink refuses to remove the $99 service charge because the tech said the issue was ours, when it was not ours. We have also been informed that Centurylink will not replace their lines in our area because we live in a remote area and it would cost them too much to repair lines for so few customers. We are now looking into getting our landline switched to Satellite also. Because of $99 Centurylink will lose a longtime customer. Sad.

They have left an 83 year old woman without phone service for three days. Original switchover date was the 20th, it's the 22nd and no calls or communication. Called in on her behalf to be told today was the scheduled day, it was the 20th, but that they will not be performing the work because they don't have enough technicians. The next available date is the 27th! So, she will be without a phone for a WEEK.There is no credit for the week without service, the line move fee, nothing. They display an absolute callous disregard for customers or the dangers posed by leaving them without an active phone service. This is a totally unacceptable way to provide a critical service.

My phone line was cut on another road on Sept 25, I placed a ticket # ******** and the repair guy drove up to our porch and never got out. He told me that we would be out of service for a few days. The repair was made on another road. We were charged $99, and only should have been charged if the issue was inside our home which is wasn't. He had found the issue before he drove up. But the customer service is so poor that none of these people are willing to listen to my complaint about this incorrect charge. They say they can't do anything and there is no one else to escalate it to. Their policy for repairs is they will not charge you unless the issue is inside your home. This is another fraudulent charge from CenturyLink. I need your help please.

I had CenturyLink as my landline service. My service stopped last March and I cannot tell you how many times I had contacted their service department. They did come out at least once and the phone worked for a day or so, then stopped. This went on for several months in which most of the time I had no phone service. I would set up a service call and then they would cancel. They said they had to order a cable and then it would be fixed. Did not happen. I was told that I would be getting a refund for the time I did not have service. Did not happen. This company shouldn't even exist they are so poor. Their call center which was a chat line, were scripted to say that they would own my experience. What the h*** does that even mean??? CenturyLink is probably the most pathetic company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

They had a representative come to my door when their service came into the area. They offered $65 per month for internet, and the price would not go up if I signed up that day. Needless to say, they charge me $80 now. **************** said they cant do anything about it even though my neighbor got them to lower it back down. The guy was rude. And I canceled. ******** customer service, and deceptive practices.
