      We have been out of phone service and Internet since 10/25/24 . We have been told that a specialist needs to come out. Been promised many times that it would be fixed. Takes forever to get a live person and when we do they dont speak English and very hard to understand. Its now 11/7/24 and its still not fixed. Centurylink has really gone down hill.

      I lost internet service suddenly. I contacted support via chat and call multiple times. I learned there's no outage in the area. I wanted to get a technician come take a look and earliest possible they could schedule was a week away. I live in ****** suburb and to not be able to send a technician for a week is horrible service. I've been with CenturyLink for years and am considering canceling the service.

      In my area just outside of town the only Internet we have access to is either satellite/starlink ect* or DSL through CenturyLink* We have streamers and gamers in our household therefore, weve been looking for a more consistent Internet connection so we went with DSL* Originally when we signed up, it was for a 10 *** package because thats all that was offered in our area* I clocked it consistently over several years and we were getting 37 *** consistently therefore I had no real complaint at that time* Here recently, our Internet went out and Century Link came out to repair the problem* When I got home and checked my speed, they had throttle us down to the 10 *** * After getting that higher speed for so long, I felt it was wrong for them to lower the speed* I called them on the phone and express my disappointment and also asked why they dont offer that higher speed when I had been getting it for so long* Their response was your Internet connection is working as intended* Now, with the current speed, we can barely stream movies* I understand we were only paying for a 10 *** connection and getting higher speed but after so long, is it right for them to clock us down after we based our usage on the Internet speed we were receiving? Thank God Mi-fiber Is putting in lines in our area and we should have fiber optics, late spring or early summer* Do not get Century Link!!!!

      terrible customer service - they outright lie to you and are of no help. If you have an issue with your wifi good luck getting a technician to come out within the next two weeks.

      Was told I needed to update to ******. Technician installed, put two boxes on my family room wall, cable across my back yard, and now my landline does not work. Made several calls to 800 number, horrible experience trying to navigate their queue. On hold several times for a period of over an hour. No living person to talk to who showed any interest or concern. First available appt for tech to come to my house was set for Thursday (initial problems began on Monday). Im sorry I do business with century link!!!!

      I signed my elderly parents up for a land line in their apartment. From the beginning we have had issues with the set up but also the technician help. We had one ***air person come out, fixed the problem which lasted two days. I then called for a second tech to come out, they did but there was no follow up and the problem was still not solved. I then spent 45 minutes on chat with a *** setting up a 3rd visit only to come to find out that the service ticket was never issued!!!!!! Such a waste of my time and horrible customer service! I have now scheduled the 4th tech to come out to try and fix the problem. No one could give me a straight answer as to why the 3rd service ticket was not entered. These are old people without a phone and they don't use a cell phone. Get with it CenturyLink!!!! Fix your service problems cause this can't keep happening. I rate you a ZERO!!!

      When I setup service at my address I had a flyer that I received by mail stating that I would pay $35.00 per month for 940mbs up and down however I was not allowed this promotion as it was not available at my address. I then asked why they sent me the flyer and they said it's sent to everyone. Finally when the technician came to install service I was not receiving the speed I was paying for, infact I was receiving ~500mbs up and down. Furthermore, the technician assured me multiple times that I wouldn't have to return anything as I didn't want to use there router, I further asked multiple times for him to take it with him so I wouldn't have to bring it by a store after canceling service if I decided to. Finally, when calling support the Next day, support had told me that they could send another technician out to fix the speed issues when the previous tried for 2 hours. But in reality the network is **** in ****** terms my speed is dictated by the usage of the entire neighborhood. I asked the support staff if they would place me on the $35.00 a month original offer and they said they cannot honor it and for me to return the modem when it was strapled to my wall. The ONT will stay but there router I have to return. In short, DO NOT BUY THERE SERVICE.

      CenturyLink has zero options for customer support even though they advertise that they have 24/7 customer support. If I call, they forward me, with long hold times, to the wrong department that forwards me back to the original department I called, and back and forth until someone hangs up on me. The chat services are even worse. They only responded about once every 5 minutes, and eventually they will create a ticket number that is fake saying someone will reach out in the next 2-3 business days, but nobody has reached out after going through this process more than 10 times. I have a very simple issue, an old data cable I need removed that is hanging low and a safety concern for someone to run into, and I have spent countless hours trying to schedule an appointment. They advertise that they have 24/7 customer support, but I haven't been able to schedule an appointment for 6 months of trying, and I think they should be investigated for false advertising.

      Hello, I paid ny **** ****** made arrangements for the est to be paid in two weeks. All was good, no issue. Then you shut off ny internet. I was told by 3 people it would be turned bacon with in 2 hrs. Nothing! Then I can't get ahold of anyone. I. Hatted a few times and nothing! I final** got ahold of someone at centuryling named *** who promised it would be on within 24hrs. Nothing! I hated a few more times, nothing g. They kept **ing, saying it's because I am a optic fiber customer. I am not. I have an apot on Wed, yes. Then they tried saying oh, it's out on our end too. I said u are **ing!! Then the next chat said, u need to upgrade. I said I have an apot on end. I want my centuryli k internet turned back on. They said, oh, it could be 48hrs. Liars! I got ahold of centurylink o ** to be transfered to optic fiber AGAIN!!! I was disconnected a few times or simp** hung up on while waiting. On** to have optic fiber tell me he will get ahold of customer service and explain to them. Final** after over 30 min, a centurylink agent came on and gave me the same lies, over and o er. Said there is nothing he can do as tech support is closed till mo . I KNOW THATS A LIE TOO!!! I want my centurylink service e turned back on. I am tired of the run around from your *** And customer spice. It's a joke trying to get ahold of anyone. No one has helped me yet. They just disconnected my service because they are moving me to quantum fiber in a week. They never told me any of this. I was disconnected. Lied to, and hung up on many time. I chatted a few times . I was told my service would be turned on within 24 hrs. NOTHING. OUT RIGHT LIED TO ME ON EVERY LEVEL. .

      They said I qualified for the national discount program and the customer service person said (over the phone) I should ignore any bills. However they charged me a hook up fee and $15 monthly late charges on it for 6 months. During the time I had service they explained that I would be billed for the mid level of service but I would not be able to get that level of upload/download speeds since the existing infrastructure would not support it. (We live outside of a small town). I assume that way they could bill the government program for more money. I dont know for sure. I cancelled service a few weeks ago before the end of my billing cycle. The customer service person (over the phone) said that I cancelled it before I would get another bill. Here we are 3 weeks later and I have another monthly charge and another $15 late charge.
