      For 19 years I received Centurylink e-billing to my business bank account which my bank's auto-pay took care of. This worked fine for 19 years until May of 2024 when, due to some upgrade Centurylink made to their internal systems, e-billing broke. I no longer received an e-bill and, because I never received email or paper billing, I had no idea my account was delinquint until my service was turned off September 1st. On September 3rd I checked my business PO Box and found a letter from them (first and only letter) stating I need to pay by end of August or service was going to be terminated--fair enough, I should check my PO box more than once a month, thats on me. I called, paid up and they fixed the e-billing issue. BUT MY EXTREME ANNOYANCE WITH THEM IS THAT THEY STILL CHARGED ME $18 PER MONTH LATE FEES AND REFUSED TO REMOVE THEM. THIS WAS THEIR PROBLEM and I HAVE BEEN A "ON TIME" PAYING CUSTOMER OF THEIRS FOR 19 YEARS AND THIS IS HOW I AM TREATED. THIS IS SO SYSTEMATIC OF WHAT IS WRONG WITH AMERICAN BUSINESSES TODAY. ITS ALL ABOUT PROFIT AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CUSTOMER. SHAME ON YOU ****************** MANAGEMENT. REALLY PATHETIC.

      Absolutely worst company to deal with. After 2 months of fighting with *** I decided to switch and was promised to be treated better and have guys out to get my hooked get my internet going. Now Im sitting another month without internet and no help from customer service. Just wasting more of my time now fighting with this.

      I wish I could give zero stars. August 8th, set up account, paid the $50, and had a company ***** the fiber line about 4 days later. Scheduled Technician showed up two hours after the scheduled window was over, never called or texted to let me know. Tech installed outdoor box, ant the modem and router inside but when he went to hook my up, the outdoor line was run to a box that didn't have any ports open. The tech called in and scheduled another line to be run to a different box. Aug 29th, still no new line run and I get an email refunding my payment. Call on Sept 3, my account has been deleted, phone support says I have to set up new account... Done.... he then says h*** get in touch with line diggers, escalate and let me know when it'll happen...Sept 6, still nothing. Quantum support tells me that I need to contact the line digging contractor, but cant give me a company name or number. The incompetence is unbelievable and support is non existant. Everyone i talk to is overseas and has no clue what to do besides trying to get e off the phone.

      I wish that I could give them a zero. My elderly mother has this internet service. She was on autopay but it did not go through in February. When she realized it she paid immediately, but that was for March. She paid ****** ****** **** June, July, and August. Since she didn't pay February they have been tacking on late fees since February. $210.00 to be exact! When I called customer service they were of no help. They said pay it in full or we will disconnect you. They said that they tried to contact her by email and text. I told them that she doesn't know how to check either of these things and is in the process of switching things to us because of some dementia. They are heartless!!! She has never been late in the 5+ years that she has been with them. I only was able to speak to someone after trying to call them for over a week. They assured me that a supervisor would call me, but never did. I had to keep calling and we resolved nothing!!!

      I was previously a CenturyLink customer and was offered to switch to Quantum fiber because both are owned by Lumen. My CenturyLink Internet was that it frequently went down which caused issues with my work from home. So I set up a time for a technician to come install Quantum fiber material. The technician came and set everything up a few days later and told me verbally that "Your CenturyLink service will be cancelled automatically" and that "your CenturyLink modem is the old model so they won't need you to return it". I held onto the old modem a month anyway to see if they would request it be returned. Within the first few days of having Quantum Fiber my Internet went down for multiple hours during a work day. This continued for the next week, where randomly on week days my Internet would stop working for multiple hours. In attempting to call support I would be placed in a 3+ hour call queue where there were "99+" callers ahead of me. After a week of that I went to Xfinity and had their Internet installed so I could continue doing my job. At that point I tried to cancel my ********************* but cancellation is only possible via a phone call with a representative. Calling again met me with 99+ caller phone queues just to be able to cancel my service. After finally calling on an off day and waiting 2 hours to reach a representative I was able to cancel. But I also just discovered that they never cancelled by CenturyLink service - so I was charged 55$ for a month of additional service I never used, then charged 150$ for a return of the CenturyLink modem I was told by the technician would not be wanted to be returned, in addition to the original 85$ charged by Quantum Fiber for the worst reliability Internet I've ever received. I am out an additional 290$ switching from CenturyLink to Quantum Fiber that I would still have if I had just switched to ******* Xfinity in the first place. Not to mention all the hours lost from down internet and talking to support

      We had CenturyLink Fiber for several years. It wasn't great but ok. Our Service went out on 8/31 and was still out on 9/4 so I cancelled it. Each month they charge me on the first for the upcoming month. I have not had any service for the month of September yet they refuse to refund the money saying I have cancelled in a billing period. Yeah, but I also didn't get anything that I paid for the month...that is a predatory policy at best...fraudulent at worst...in my opinion.

      I have been trying to cancel my service for weeks. The reason why i want to cancel is because i moved and the next technician they could set me up with wasn't available for 2 months!!! I work from home so clearly i had to go with another provider ******* fiber and i'll never go back to century link). I tried to cancel my century link service online but it gave me a case number and said i had to speak to a representative to cancel my service. I have been on hold for days for hours without eventually speaking to a single human. I still haven't been able to cancel my service. They continue to charge me for service that i'm no longer using and they are preventing me from cancelling my service. This company is going downhill and has become a total sham. the BBB must investigate CenturyLink. If I could give them negative stars, I would

      I wanted to report my land line not working and my neighbors lines also not working I could not talk to a per son and had to text for a repair. Took me 45 min to get this done and 4 times during the text they wanted my to buy phone protection. Then they said they would fix it on 9-17 today is 9-3

      Horrible company. 0 stars. Stay away!!! Called 6 days in a row, waiting 10 hours. They can't be contacted because of their stupid business model to not hire customer service representatives.Join a class action suit against this company!!!

      They Bill every Month But when You have a simple Question They cannot be reached AT ALL! Not on Live Chat or ***************************** I would Rate Them at a ZERO SERVICE RATING!
