I would not even give it 1 star. We have been without phone and internet for 2 weeks now. They have promised several different days that they are going to repair it but they never show. I still don't have a date. Last time we had an outage, they told us someone had to be at home, they never showed and promised someone would be there by 9am. I ended up taking a second day off of work and they didn't show up until 3pm. If I could get ANY other internet provider, I would be willing to pay 3 times the amount just to say goodbye to CenturyLink! Worst company I have ever dealt with. **************** just reads from a script and they do not care.

My Phone line was cut 2 weeks ago. I spent two days (in the first week) trying to get in contact with someone to schedule a repair and could not get past their chat bots and suggestions on things to try and fix my service. When I supposedly got a "real person" on a chat, they still insisted that I try all these troubleshooting ideas even though I told them my phone line was CUT. It was on the second day that a person finally called my cell phone at my request and that person still had no idea what was going on and could not schedule a repair without going through all the troubleshooting again. I told him they were incompetent if they could not read all the previous notes telling them that troubleshooting won't work if the phone line outside the house is cut. It wasn't until a week later when I called to cancel service (and this took an hour) that I finally spoke to a person who claimed they could help and transferred me to "repair person" who scheduled my repair for 3:00 pm on 5/6/2023. No one showed up so I logged in to "Check were is ************" and after 15 minutes, chatted with a supposed real person who said that was no record of any scheduled repair on my account. Then he said he was only an internet service helper and had to try and find someone else to help me. I finally quit trying. The worst service I have ever seen from such a large company.

I have never delt with a company with this poor of customer service and communication. Internet down 34 as i type. Not one person can help me or seems to care. If you have choices do yourself a favor and pay the extra money and choose a different provider.

I would give them negative stars if I could. Absolute nightmare dealing with their customer service. Bait and switch with service provided and dishonest.

My son attends college completely online. We have been without service since last Friday. Repairs werent going to come until Wednesday and now moved to Thursday. With no in person communication, just text messages telling us theyve moved the appointment.

CenturyLink is the literal worst business I have ever worked with. It does not have even sub-adequate customer service and their service agreement states that you essentially have to pay them the amount agreed monthly (with no proration) no matter what, even when you cancel, and that agreement does not mean that they have any obligation to provide a certain level of service. Furthermore, I was without internet from their faulty equipment that was leased for a week at a time (3x - router/modem was fried each time, tech couldn't get out for a week minimum each time to fix), and they will not prorate that nor back date it. When I decided to cancel, it was a Saturday (conveniently they wont let you cancel online, at all, and ask you to call in) and they don't have anyone accepting phone calls on the weekend, yet can't back date any service cancellations conveniently. So, though I had no service for days prior, and decided to end my service with them, I had to pay for the remaining days. In the grand scheme, it wasn't a lot of money for 2 extra days, but the principal that they aren't obligated (nor interested in the reputation that it dictates) to provide refunds for lack of service, or unearned service, is a frustrating and frankly unethical business model in my opinion. I rarely leave surveys for businesses unless they are exceptionally great or exceptionally poor, and this is likely the worst review I have ever given a business, and I guarantee that I am holding back a bit relative to written word. Nonetheless, if I could control whether they ever got one more customer, I would purposely redirect anyone looking for service with CenturyLink elsewhere. Terrible experience.

I have fiber service. There was an area outage for 9 days. No internet. I got daily text messages with "service will be restored tomorrow". **************** had no details or any solutions other than suggesting I use my cell phone's hotspot. No weather disaster, no power outages, nothing. Working from home was obviously impossible. I had to relocate my home office and commute. After 12+ texts of "estimated restoration of service" (which were all wrong) I wasn't even able to plan around it. After 5 calls to customer service, they have generously offered me...$30. Two weeks after I got service restored, I received an email from CenturyLink letting me know my monthly service cost will be increasing by $10. Customer experience fail.

We got CenturyLink more than six months ago. And since then weve asked multiple times for them to come out and bury the 300 yards worth of cable going through our yard and over our fence. The landscapers are having a hard time getting around it, my fianc tripped on the wire, twisted her knee was out of work for over a week. And all we get is lies. Lies lies. This company is taking advantage of us because its the only service in the area. If it werent for that, Id leave CenturyLink in a heartbeat.
