      After dealing with multiple internet outages and unavailable or delayed customer service and service restoration I opted to cancel my service and switch to a better provider. After calling to cancel the service I found a month later that that service had not actually been cancelled by the individual I called. Instead the service continued uninterrupted and unused with autopay making the payment. When reaching back through their service system to dispute this I was handed off to multiple different teams with each team telling me they could not handle the service cancellation, most of them not being living human agents.

      If I could do zero stars I would. Been waiting a week now with no phone. My landline went down on a Friday and a week later still down. Have been promised that a tech would be out 4 different times and no one has showed up. A week later no communication from them, but can guarantee they are charging me for it. If you have a choice of which I do not I would go with some one else. I guess I will be cancelling my landline, and maybe that is their goal. I think there needs to be an investigation in their business practices.

      Have been told 4 different times now that they would be arriving today to set up my service and have yet to actually have someone out to my house. Have spent hours in chat and on the phone with various customer service agents who do not care whatsoever and continue to guarantee me someone is coming today to only again be let down. What an absurd and absolute waste of time and effort to deal with such trash.

      CenturyLink is committing Fraud. I have been trying to get them to delete an email account for over a year. I have called multiple times and have been assured my account would be deleted and it never is. The email account continues to receive emails, spam and is being used by Centurylink to generate advertising income. I cannot get it stopped. It has taken me as much as 6 hours per call to get to an real person. When the real person confirms they have deleted my email account, I still find it active today after months and months of trying. I would love to know who to report this to and how to get CenturyLink to quit using my account to generate income for the company.

      this company is INSANE. i cannot believe we used their services for as long as we did and when we were faced with HAVING to leave the building for reasons out of our control, they didn't give us ANY help with the cancellation fees. they hit us with over $5K in cancellations fees. When i tried to work with them to have them help us with this, they just kept replying with the "sorry, can't help". When we first told them about having to cancel, they told us that if we returned their equipment, they would waive the cancellation fees, we returned them and still we were charged for all fees. At this point, im just glad that we don't HAVE to deal with them anymore. i really hope that if anyone has a chance to work with any other company, that they do.

      Been having internet problems with them for like a year. The whole neighborhood . Service guys have been out to try to fix it but still cuts on and off. I have roku so I just have internet. One service guy told me that main headquarters wouldn't let him fix something in main box. Very unreliable. Can't talk to no one. Can't get any other service where we live. Wish I could find another company. Everyone shares the same bandwidth. Just wish they would fix the problem !

      Not just bad, criminally bad. If I could put negative points I would. When I moved, I made an appointment for them to come out and connect service. They made the appointment but never showed up. When I called to try to see what happened they put me on hold. I moved to a brand new apartment that never had service in it. When the bill arrived for services I never received I tried calling again - multiple times. I either got someone who pushed me off without solving the problem, or I was put on hold... for up to 2 hours. When I didn't pay (because I never had service), they just kept billing me. When I had been late on a payment prior to my move they just cut off my service but not here. I'm not sure how you cut off something that never existed but it makes more sense than billing every month for something that never existed. I tried writing everything down on a bill and sending it back... nothing. Tried calling again... back on hold. Finally they sent me to collections, which I obviously contested. Their response was "we only have 2 calls in our records and they indicate you had service" No kidding you only have 2 calls. Every other time it was a never- ending hold loop. And saying I have service when I absolutely did not is ridiculous. Now I have to try to get a letter from my landlord because guess what the next tenant had to do to get service? Install everything because there was never service in the apartment. This is absolutely ridiculous. Now they're calling themselves Brightspeed. Do NOT deal with anyone associated with these people, no matter what they might change their business name to. They are trying to charge me almost $1000 for zero service and hours of aggravation. They are an absolute nightmare.

      they put in a phone line (for values of "put in a phone line" for my elderly mother in assisted living on a Friday. It stopped working on Saturday. They could "get someone there" on Tuesday which wasn't going to happen because she had a medical appointment that day; so far as I can tell nothing was done. The phone worked maybe twice more; by ******** it had stopped working alltogether. I called Century Link and the "earliest they can get someone there" is the following monday. This is what they DO - they're a phone company - and they cannot connect a working phone line? I am livid - and oh, by the way, they already sent me a bill. THAT, they could do yesterday. Very unhappy customer.

      I agree with everyone else!! CenturyLink/Brightspeed ***** ASS!! We have been having issues since 3/20/2023 and today is 3/24/2023. When we first called Monday the lady said there was an outage over the weekend which is funny because it worked "fine" all weekend. We have had crappy service with them the whole time we have had them but what's worse is it was a little better when we were behind on our bill.

      Apparently this company has landlines that are used by phone scammers in *********. Continuing to call when blocked by changing the last 2-4 digits. Area Code 615 each time. Either these scammers are solo. Or in a group where they can change it up when you decline calls. I block but they continue.
