My internet stopped connecting to all my devices on Sunday 10/23. The ************ for Troubleshooting support was through chat. It took 15mins for ****** at CenturyLink to verify my account. He then added info from someone elses account to our chat. This lead me to believe he was not working my case. He then told me he scheduled a technician to come Tuesday 10/25 between 8AM-5PM, and that notification would be sent the day prior. I did not receive notification, so I called on Tuesday after taking time off work to be home and avoid the $99fee. I learned he didnt scheduled the technician and on CLs end, my internet is fine. I had to ask for a manager in order for CL to send someone to look at my internet because it was in fact no fine. I wish I could switch to ***, but my apartment only allows Century Link. Worst customer service ever. Took my data from my cell phone plan, stole my money without providing services, and made an empty promise to send a technician.

This is possibly the worst business Ive ever witnessed. Not only does their internet not work at all, but their customer service is even worse. I was never able to get in contact with a human person that could help. Instead, they just wanted to sell me more of the their terrible services. I have truly never seen such a bad business model in my life and they should be held accountable.

Ordered century link on 10/11 the modem was delivered 10/14 and we did the self install and they charged us $16 for that plus $65 prepaid for the service. The earliest appointment they had for repair was 10/20. I got an email saying someone needed to be home from 8am-5pm, then a message the day of I needed to be home from 1:10pm-5:10pm. 5pm rolled around no one showed so I called took 40mins to talk to someone. They said the latest they would be here is 7:15. 7:15 rolled around no one showed, now the phones are closed so the only option is to chat. The person in the chat told me to continue to wait until someone got here but couldnt even provided a range of time mind you its pitch black outside. So now I have to be concerned that some weird cable tech is going to show up at my house at 10pm in the middle of the night. Sounds like unsafe unethical business practices. I would stay far away from this company if this wasnt the only internet option in my area.

The worst company. Terrible customer service. Had brand new internet installed and it crapped out 30 days later. They then wouldnt come to fix it within a reasonable timeframe. I was going to be without internet for 5 days. When I asked about my work, and what to do since I need internet to do my job and didnt have 5 days of PTO available, they just said, not our problem. Thanksappreciate you going above and beyond for a new customer.

CenturyLink has been absent from ********** after Hurricane ***. They don't answer calls, they don't respond in chats. All other internet companies have people working in the area except for CenturyLink. There is literally a CenturyLink line down on my front lawn. I have tried notifying them at least 10 times, but they won't even answer their phones or chats! The only communication they have had with me is an automated email ensuring me my monthly payment has been processed

Century link in *********, ** has the worst business practices. I use the word business very loosely. Unfortunately they are the only internet company in this area. So, they know they can abuse their customers. I have had issues since I move to this area, it took them 4 months to get my first issue resolved. Now once again I am without internet. It is going on two days. Right after I paid my bill the internet went down. How can you run a business if you work banker hours 9-5. The tech is sitting at home on his/her couch trying to trouble shoot. Nobody works on the weekends. And it takes a week to get an appointment to fix an issue. The only reason Century link is in business in this area is because it is the only service offered in this area. This is also a message to the other companies. Trust me when I tell you that if you expand your horizons in this area. You will put Century Link in *********, ** out of business. I run a business if I ran my business this way I would be out of business. People now work from home. YOU ARE COSTING THEM MONEY. KIDS ARE BEING HOME SCHOOLED YOU ARE INTERRUPTING THEIR EDUCATION. WITH SPOTTY OR NO INTERNET!!!!!!!!!! DO BETTER!!!!!!

Non responsive and definitely not a customer centric company. No service for 2 weeks due to hurricane, with no response as to when service will be restored. They just ignore you calls and ask that you contact them via their website. Which without Wifi is impossible. Wifi powers garage door, along with other items in todays world. A service company should have the common courtesy to update their customer,

This was the worst consumer experience I've ever had with any company. I'm in a house with an **** I ordered service once we got the lease. It was a two-week wait time which was going to be three days after we moved in, which was fine. The tech showed up and saw we already had a box going to our house. It turned out that the box (which was a Century Link box) had completely bypassed the main house and gone underground to the **** He installed all the equipment with a new box and said he needed an engineer to sign off on the property being reclassified as multifamily to allow for two boxes. Sounded like no problem. I call every few days. We're given a two-week turnaround. Most of the customer service people are completely clueless and apparently don't know how the service physically works. I talk to two supervisors - one is really helpful and considerate. The other one outright lies to me (saying the engineers are waiting for some equipment to ship). Two weeks go by and then they cancel our order and say I did it. I call and they tell me I'll have to pay $50 to start a new order. I do that and they make me an appointment for another two weeks out. I tell them I don't need an appointment since it's already installed. I just need someone to turn it on. A few days before the next appointment, I call because I figure the next tech isn't going to be an engineer and may have the same issue. They assure me the "site issue" (which they created) has been resolved and it will be fine. The tech arrives and, yep, can't solve the issue and says it needs an engineer. I placed an order with Xfinity and had internet working within 2 hours. Century Link wasted 6 weeks of my time during which I needed to be working from home and they still couldn't figure out how to solve the issue they created. I don't know how they stay in business. Fortunately, they refunded my $50 but they only sent me one label to return both of the devices they'd left. We crammed them both in one box.

They are a scam. Not only bad customer service, its hard to get ahold of anyone you will have to sit through several minutes of this automated voice prompt then after you punch in all the correct numbers the stupid automated system repeats itself again. Its almost impossible to get a real person and when you finally do they barely speak English. My residence was charged for broadband that barely worked and was slower than modem speed. Whenever I tried to complain they said there is nothing they can do because they refuse to upgrade the equipment for my area. Finally I got Starlink internet and dropped CenturyLink broadband but unfortunately still have to use the landline service since no other company will provide for my area. I got a new quote just for a basic landline with no features, but then they billed me a higher bill two months later saying I added on all these new features when I did not. I tried to dispute these charges and the representative said they would go back to the original quote for the landline but they left me to pay a higher bill for this month, for services I never added. They would not drop all the extra charges so I'm paying more than what I was quoted for this month. This happens to my bill almost every other month! I had the feeling that when I dropped the broadband CenturyLink would try to tack on more charges to make up for lost business. I really wish I could give them no stars.
