      Century is robbing people in my area and centurylink is the only internet provider that's been in our area until a month ago!!! I honestly feel centurylink should have to pay all of us back the money they made us, the residences in my area, pay them for services that only worked 25% of the time because century WAS our only option!!!... my neighbor (who happens to be family members) had to sign up for 4+ DIFFERENT century link modems to try and get better services and with all those different internet modems IN A DANG TRAILER HOUSE (not even an actual house with multiple levels or anything) they still have issues everyday like us!!! I know I've called and complained several times the first few years but then gave up because nothing was done besides raised my prices and kept sending the same size modem as an upgrade!! I had to use my mobile Hotspot through ******* on our tvs and stuff quite often!!! And i also had TWOOO wifi extenders... the worst part about all of this, you would imagine i lived in the forest or something with the service we get here, but I only live 2 or 3 miles away from a century link operations/data center. I want the money back that I was forced to pay because there wasn't any other option for my family! I'm a single mother with TWO disabled children living off of supplement disability income and wasting what money i do get on the only service option available that only worked, MAYBE, 35% of the time disrupting my children's stimulation/relax/sleeping times by waking them up in the middle of the night EVERY NIGHT because the connections disconnect every hour on the dot making the house drop to dead silence and that's one of their biggest ticks (1.silence and then 2. darkness).******* called us a month ago and let me know that they finally have services in my neighborhood! 100 better service already within 10 min. absolutely no wiring AT ALL, plus they GAVE us a free xbox and gaming gear for signing up with them! Something needs to be done!

      I have been a century link customer for more than ten years. They have the worst customer service. I ordered a repair service appointment over two week notice. They never showed up after waiting all day for the tech to show up. Save yourself stress and do not get internet or phone service through century link. Go with a different company. I'm changing service.

      I have tried to be very patient with our issues considering what I read. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I own 6 properties with different service providers and I can say Century link is the worst I have ever experienced. Stay away if you have a choice. One of our property this is the only static service we can get. Its HORRIBLE service and poor coverage at best. Our current issue (as we have had many) is our modem (which we paid a monthly rental fees for 5 years to have current technology) is out of date, non supported. This is clearly stated by model on their website. You would think they would automatically send a new modem when they discontinued supporting their own modems to their customers. I have attempted to chat communicate on their website- which obviously doesnt work, called and was put on a 1 hour wait. The next time I request a call back and when I did was hung up on. Third time a call back took 2 hours and when we had the call I had to direct their own support to their own website to the notice of model numbers no longer supported. The ***resentative had no idea anything about internet and was reading from a script. They didnt even know what it meant to ping our service for speed. Long story short. After a long time navigating a glass eating conversation, I was able to prove to them our service isnt working and its because of the modem. Now keep in mind we paid $10/month x 5 years. $700 for use of their modem technology. When they agreed to send us a supported functional modem, the *** stated they now need to add a charge to your bill of another $5 a month for new technology lol. Scam. As a customer with zero alternatives, I try to explain I have been paying for the new technology in advance and could have bought a new one 5 fold. I was told it would be delivered same day. I said no way. Please give me tracking info. No they wouldnt, 5 days later nothing yet, and I host our 20 family members for ****

      They took over a month for an appointment and according to the technician was because he had been working there for over 10 years and he was still one of the juniors because they dont hire. Afterwards billing autopay was set for an end of month date, you think it would be simple to change the autopay date? Nope, cannot and the customer service *** not only got annoyed when i wasnt answering quickly enough but wouldnt answer for a long period of time, but also lied to me and said i could then took it back when i said it didnt work.This is after other bad customer service examples im switching back to *** at least they actually have some semblance of customer service

      Unethical business practices. They disregard the customers and cheat them . Save yourself the hassle. Do not do business with CenturyLink.

      I have had Century Link for over 2 years In *********, **. Levy County My serious issue is I cannot get through to a live **************** agent. To resolve a payment setup change to my account.This is highly distressing.And I am planning on switching to my local ************* for new ********** **************** is a key element to a successful relationship with any paying client.yours respectfully, CP

      Worst internet provider and horrible customer service.They won't let you cancel online or the app. When you call, they hang up once you tell them that you are cancelling. Record your conversation and tell them you are cancelling. Stop payment! Do yourself a favor and use another provider.

      DSL modem went out, trying to get tech-support to assist only able to get automated systems and automated text messages to send out a technician for outside the home, no customer service for technical support with equipment. The only time you get to speak to a live person who is minimum help, is when you call in as a new customer, which is very sad to mislead the customer base with happy smiles upfront, and no customer service for long-term.

      Shameless *********** think a multi million dollar company would have a better computing system and or algorithms but they cant keep track of their skulls if it wasnt connected to their body.I was receiving emails about a charge for equipment that I never owned for months and talk to representatives over six times And they all showed me that I wouldnt be charging. It was an issue with the system. They just charged me $150 for a piece of equipment that I never owned, and they know that but they still built and now theyre telling me its gonna take two weeks for tea to look at it. ***** this company IF possible.

      They have the worst customer service! They shut off my internet in the middle of the day today. I work from home so it is neccesary to have internet. I called and requested service. The first time anyone could come out was tomorrow. I called back and requested to speak to someone. The representative said the only way to fix the outage was to switch to Quantum fiber. I told her I had paid my bill through December and I was not sure I wanted to switch to Quantum yet. I just wanted my service restore because I had paid for it. She refused, so I asked to speak to a supervisor. After being on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes a supervisor spoke to me. She told me she could not take the restriction off my account. She told me Quantum fiber could do that. The representative at quantum said because I did not have an account with them, they could not help me. They transferred me back to Century Link. A different representative told me it was just a warning message I should be able to dismiss. But there was no such option. He said he lifted the restriction, but the internet was still not working. So he transferred me to the people that could fix it. I was told I needed to sign up for quantum fiber today and that would restore my internet. I told him I need to do some research and talk to my husband before I changed my internet provider. So he agreed to restore my internet. All of this took 3 hours. I lost 3 hours of wages. They sent me a letter last week that said Century link was moving their internet to quantum fiber, but there was nothing in the letter that said it had yo be switched by a date/deadline. To shut my internet off is their way of getting people to call them and FORCE them to switch to get it restored. There are better ways to go about this. I believe I am due a credit to my bill for services I did not receive, that I paid for. I had to speak to 4 people before the problem was fixed 3 hours later. Because of this experience, I have made my decision about switchng.
