My car was towed from a friend's apartment complex after I was invited over by my friend who lives there. I was told after I called that my car was towed for not having a parking permit when I was part in visitor parking. With so many complaints, why hasn't this place been shut down for all the illegal c*** they have pulled.Initial Complaint

I was parked at my apartment building and was towed on the morning of August 30th. Upon retrieving my car, they charged me $303 to get my property back. $228 of which was the charge to tow it, the rest of the money was from storing my car for the few hours they had taken it from me. Then when my car was returned, I found it in worse condition than it had been in the previous night. Because it was sitting in a dirt parking lot, smushed between other cars, there are now scratches on my car. It isnt the worst thing in the world but the fact they would not acknowledge that my car could have been hurt in the process was the moment I realized I was being extorted by a predatory company. People I know who have been towed in ****** were charged about 1/3 of my tow charges for parking illegally. I understand they are trying to be a successful business but it feels like I was involved in a shakedown. If the charges had been reasonable, and they would have accepted the fact that they scratched my car, I would have no issue with them, just my apartment building who called the tow company. Side note: the people in front of me in line had charges of over $400. One group of ladies had their car reported as stolen. It was picked up by the towing company but when Wyatts found out they had listed it as a stolen car, Wyatts left it somewhere on the side of the road in ****** and refused to give more precise directions.Initial Complaint

I believe this *********** is engaging in predatory towing practices. I was parked in a parking lot for a little over an hour on a Saturday, and my car was towed. There is a sign indicating that the parking is for ****************************** customers only" however, I went to a restaurant in the same shopping center, just on the other side of the lot, and was towed. There were cars there when I parked that were still there when I returned, that had not been towed. I believe the rate I was charged was outside the range of the public utilities commission.Initial Complaint

My car was towed by wyatts towing for no parking permit but the permit was in the top corner of the driver's side but because it was under the tinted part they claim it wasn't visible. I called my apartment Manger and was instructed that they can check and if it does they can release it. I then called wyatts towing and asked what to do and was told the same thing. My car was not drivable because I'm waiting for a part to be delivered and told that lady that answered the phone that and all she could tell me that I'd have to come down and they would see what they can do. When I got there the lady went and looked in the windshield to see if was there and she saw it but said she would have to call her supervisor on what to do so she said she needed to help the next person until she hears back from her supervisor the supervisor apparently didn't respond in timely matter and had to wait thru more people until she got a response. I was then told they wouldn't release it because the permit wasn't visible and that I would have to pay to get it out.Initial Complaint

I called Wyatts Towing Company due to an individual parked illegally in my assigned parking space. After waiting for service for two hours, I called into the company and was greeted by an extremely rude customer service representative. I explained the situation and asked if it made sense. This individual said No, and asked for my name. Then, before I could explain further, said Thank you, bye bye, before hanging up the phone on me. Is this seriously the level of professionalism I am to expect from this company? I didnt even get to explain myself when I pay $75/mo. for parking at this residence. The utter disrespect is unbelievable.Initial Complaint

7/30/23 my boyfriend's car was towed from my paid parking spot at ********************** My car was at the mechanics so I wasn't using my space. I figured since I wasn't going to call to tow the vehicle it would be fine. Especially since I've had to have a car towed from my spot before and ******* towing said they needed proof in my leasing addendum to do so. ****** and ******* work together and ******* patrols around town to get themselves business by towing cars which I don't think is ethical. I pay $150 a month to park at my building and shouldn't have to register my boyfriend's car for one night while my car wasn't in the spot. It should be on the person renting the parking spot to call if someone is in their spot not have ******* towing company drive around to tow whatever and whenever they feel.
