Absolutely horrible customer service. I have had this company for over a year and a half and recently began having 015A errors. Eventually I decided to call in and the e tech on the phone diagnosed the system remotely and said it was the satellite that was the issue. To get it finished/fixed, it would be $101.61. So bring THEIR system and error, I have to pay?! Oh but wait, they have a PROMOTION where I can enroll in dish silver protection for three months and its free. So I have to sign up for MORE to get my system fixed which is YOUR companys equipment? Total scam.DISH Network, LLC

On August 15, 2022, we received your review, dated August 9, 2022, posted with the Better Business Bureau.You disputed DISH Network charging for a technician visit.Please note that our customer agreements provide that you agree to be responsible for the equipment that is leased to you and in your custody. Our equipment is fully tested and vetted prior to installation, and installations are fully tested before the technician leaves the site. We have no control whatsoever of the equipments environment after that. Our records show that you are receiving our DISH Protect Silver free for three months, and you received your August 10, 2022, technician visit free as well.Kevin J

So yea, I was told that if I wanted my service call to be handled at no cost I had to enroll in a program that I magically qualified for. Its pretty shameful that you hide in your hundred page policies of fine print but refuse to honor your equipment no matter what. By your definition I lease the oldest equipment you have (because you refuse to upgrade it unless I pay for it) and no matter what its my fault if YOUR equipment malfunctions. That same philosophy applied to a ******* it worked when you drove it off the lot so just because it later broke due to something beyond your control - we dont have to honor it.Review fromDaniel R

Online Survey 08/05/2022:I chatted with ******* briefly (unless it from a previous Chat I had in May or a few weeks ago) and ****** yesterday 08/04/2022. ****** told me to call customer service because she couldn't help me. ******** answered the phone and said there was nothing he could do about the mistake/problem that occurred around May 21st. On May 16, I requested the Pause Mode to be removed because I was coming to ******* for **** days. After I returned to Alabama, I called to put my account back in the Pause Mode again. It appears that the Rep who answered the phone did not put my account back in the Pause Mode for 6 months as I requested, because I was billed $242.81 in June and $122.16 in July. I know there is a fee to remove the Pause Mode but the bills should only be $5.38/month. I received a notice that $128.16 is due on August 17th. I tried to explain this error at least 4-5 times in the Chat room and on the phone since May. Since there is nothing that can be done, I request canceling my account immediately. If you don't respond to this form, I will call and cancel my account after I contact the BBB and share this with social media friends.Response:With this. We are limited with our options through chat, however, I do have a account specialist that take care of our loyal customer such as your self. Dish net is an awful company. We signed up, they immediately took our money, never responded to texts or phone calls about installing and when we finally reached them said 2 weeks. Then they said 1 week. Then they said 1 week when we wanted to leave. Then they said 2 weeks was only possible. We both work from home. Dish doesnt help anyway. They refused to give back our money until 3-5 business days, but took it out within 1 hour? And could provide service or communication for 2 weeks? They were completely rude. I suggest NEVER using this company if you want good service and to keep your money.DISH Network, LLC

******* I was rejected three times, refused a supervisor request and was still unable to close out my account. OMG !Dear Dish Network,I am a customer and soon-to-be previous customer of *******. Your customer service wait time has been horrendous. And simply arguing with many Representatives is not a way to do business.I am appalled by your company in regards to simply wanting to cancel service and being refused to do so. I have spent a week of my time trying to cancel service. I understand I am within a commitment contract, I am willing to pay to get out of this contract and to return your box. This business is very sneaky. Canceled our service and paid a $3.92 balance. The company took it upon itself to reactivate and charge me ****** because I paid my final balance. Good thing I received a notice so I could turn off auto pay. What a scam! I had to cancel my services again.DISH Network, LLC

I stated I was told I reactivated the account by paying balance and clicking supposed button. Which in fact when I spoke to a supervisor, I was told that was a lie and that I couldn't reinstate services via the internet. Listen to the so called recorded line, as I requested the supervisor to do as well. You will see the truth no matter what you want to publish. Cancelled my *************** after 2 days of installation and they billing me for almost $500.00 cancellation fees. False promises on programing and satellite signal that keep disconnecting/connecting every couple of minutes. Horrible service the installer told me that I have 3 day to cancel and if I do I will not be charge, Now I will file a law suit in small claim courtDISH Network, LLC

You stated that your DISH Network service was not up to your standards, so you canceled your account. You requested that we waive your $480.00 early termination fee.When we spoke by phone today, I advised you that your service agreement states that you have 24 hours after installation to cancel your service before the contract goes into effect. As you signed this contract and exceeded the 24-hour window, we maintain that your early termination fee is valid. I have attached this contract for your records.However, as an exception, I offered to reduce this fee by 50%, to $240.00. You accepted this offer. We had dish for a little over a year, then moved and put our account on pause. A year later we get another place and we could barely afford dish anymore. My wife simply called and asked how to cancel. Key word ask and got disconnected. The next morning they charged my account $220!! Your customer service is a joke. The person on the phone did not disclose any info about cancelling fees and so on. My wife tried to contact them again to have this reversed and they said they couldnt do anything about it. You stated that a year later, after obtaining a new home, your wife called and asked how to cancel; however, the service was disconnected and your account was charged $220.00. You said your wife was not informed of any cancellation fees and her requests to have the charge reversed were denied.When we corresponded via email, I informed you that a review of your account reveals that your automatic payment of $238.51 posted to your account on July 25, 2022, and was applied to the service provided.In addition, a review of the phone call from July 26, 2022, reveals that a female called, identifying herself as **********************************. During this call, she said she wanted to disconnect service due to the automatic payment processing after she tried to remove it from the account. While reviewing this account, it was notated that we received requests via chat message, on July 11 and July 26, 2022; however, the disclosures were not acknowledged, so the agents were unable to process the requested changes.At the time of installation on May 9, 2022, you agreed to a 24-month term commitment. As time spent on DISH Pause does not count toward your commitment period, upon cancellation, an early termination fee of $420.00 was applied to your account as you had 21 months remaining. In the interest of customer service, I offered to reduce this fee from $420.00 to $210.00. Please contact me directly if you would like to accept this offer.Your current account balance is $380.73.You will receive shipping labels to return the leased equipment (receivers and remotes only). Called to cancel charged $47.35. They will send prepaid labeled box, but you have to pay $15 each box to return x2. I go online to pay the **** and then it reactivated my account. Had to call again wait time was 16 min, someone picked up and hung up before I said anything. Called back another 16 min wait then she wants you to hold on the phone another 20 min while she cancels the account. Meanwhile I tried to chat with somebody from dish and they are unable to cancel an account 4 people kept asking me why I wanted to cancel. I have never had to pay a cancellation fee to return boxes. You said you also paid $15.00 for prepaid shipping labels. You went online to pay your final ****; however, this payment reactivated your account. After several attempts, you were able to speak with an agent and again cancel your account.My attempts to contact you by phone on August 24 and 25, 2022, were unsuccessful, but I was able to leave a message on each attempt. I also sent an email to ******************** with a request that you contact me.A review of your phone call from August 4, 2022, reveals that your service was canceled upon your request. During this call, the agent did not provide you with a final balance and advised that your final billing statement would be available within 72 hours. That same day, we received a reinstatement payment of $47.63 made online. Your service was again disconnected on August 4, 2022, per your request.I have applied a credit of $15.25 to your account to waive any additional fees applied to your account when the service was reactivated. Your current account balance is $27.75.We appreciate your feedback and we will share your concerns internally with the appropriate personnel. Why was I charged $47 again? I paid my bill in full. They reactivated my account again and charged me. The credit she gave did not cover the amount they charged me. They send me boxes and want me to go to the dish and get equipment off that they put on with a power drill. My grandmother had dish network for over 8-9 ****** *** paid the **** for her every month. My grandma unexpectedly passed away in May *** called them to let them know I wanted the account closed. Not only did they not care, they were more concerned about someone else taking over the ****, when I told them I wanted the account completely closed, the lady gave me a very long list of things to send in, which I did, only for them to send me a ****** **** (there should of been no balance bc I paid it the same month she passed) & send a *** man to my door without letting me know they were coming while Im still grieving (not worried about a cable box) demanding that I give them the boxes like we were trying to steal them or something. They dont care how long you are a customer with them, nor do they care if u pass away. Not to mention I dealt with a very very nasty csrs that works for them way before any of this took place. **************** is terrible & they have no empathy for their customers at all.DISH Network, LLC

I just cancelled my DISH service after many years with them. After being told last month they would offer me a one year discount to keep me as a customer, they billed me at a higher amount than what was agreed. When I called to complain, I was passsed along to three different representatives. They gaslighted me, saying no such representation had been made to me. I asked for the employee I spoke with last month to be placed on the line with us, and they refused. I hope this review will help warn others to watch for their bait and switch tactics. During this call our agent offered you our Welcome Pack, and after going over the channels included in this package, it was determined that our Top 120 programming package was the best package for you. He offered you a monthly $30.00 discount that would run for 12 months and provided you with a one-time $40.00 account credit to allow you time to consider your options. He explained that he would be sure to note what was talked about and offered.I regret your experience was unfavorable, and I processed a $44.25 credit balance refund. Please allow seven to ten business days to receive this refund.
