      I am very frustrated and disappointed with the lack of customer care and support. To summarize my situation: We purchased a sectional in Feb-2023 and began to notice a defect in the cushions of the sectional. We immediately placed a request for a tech to come out and fix the problem. Tech came out within 2 weeks of request and told us it was an easy fix and we should have someone out to fix it within 7 days. Here we are in late August with no communication or solution to our problem. We have been told the parts have been ordered with no other direction or communication. This company is unprofessional and highly concerning that they treat paying customers this way.

      Bought patio furniture for around *****, 3 months later the fabric desintegrated, yes desintegrated every time you sat on the furniture the fabric shredded. Company did not want to do anything for me they based it on the ******* sun. I get that the sun is extremely hot in ******* buy not for the fabric to literally dissapeared, U get agter 3 months discoloration. They did not give me a credit, NOTHING. Also bought a dining table couple of yeats back and the legs are all chipped. I do t even use it. My humble opinion is their is extremely cheap. I will never ever use them again

      Recently purchased sofa and two rockers. Upon delivery, one rocker not operating right. Called AFW customer service and talked to a manager named *******. By far, the most incompetant, rude customer service agent I have ever spoken with. I explained the furniture was delivered the day before and she was questioning me on the warrenty of the furniture I bought a day earlier. This was micro fabric material and I asked if a new one is delivered would it be an offset color from a different manufacturing lot. She said that is the risk I would have replacing it. I explained I did not want muticolred furniture in my house if that was the case. While talking and disagreeing with their policy, my cell phone cut out while I was driving. A few minutes later, she did call back and just said a repair tech would be calling to set up a visit. She then hung up on me believing I hung up on her!.That was her "payback" to a customer questioning her! There is no way this women should be anywhere in their company that needs to speak with customers. She solidified that myself and family will never set foot in any of AFW stores again. Cheap, unreliable furniture with even worst employees interfacing customers.

      I recently bought a sofa at their **** ** location. Couple of days after it was delivered my wife complained of bites. On careful inspection we found bed bugs in the sofa. We neither travelled anywhere recently nor have we had any visitors of late. The sofa was supposed to be new. It didn't even occur to me that I had to inspect the sofa for bedbugs. Had I know I could have refused delivery. Anyway, since I found out about it later I emailed the customer care regarding the issue. In return, I received a rude and generic email explaining what a bed bug and some info on bed bug.( I later saw people complaining similar things). They refused to offer any kind of assistance and indirectly called me a liar. When I was throwing out the furniture I noticed a return tag (which AFW forgot to remove) from a previous customer who had returned it for damaged reason. I could conclude from this interaction that AFW fraudulently sells used furniture as new. I almost let this issue go but today I received an email from a random person saying that my furniture has been used previously. So just to caution potential buyers I'm leaving this review.

Being this was reported a month after delivery and the customer lives in an apartment complex it may be a good idea to contact the apartment complex to see if the apartment complex management team is aware of any bed bug issues within the complex (bed bugs in apartment complexes will travel from apartment to apartment).       Our nonprofit was attempting to relocate and purchase furniture for a client leaving a domestic violence situation.We gave the company our tax exempt letter and completed their document verifying nonprofit was making the purchase for this young woman.They refused to permit us to make the purchase and remove ****** from the invoice - even with the credit card with the charities name on the card. They insisted that the needed my individual drivers license in order to make the purchase! Really, when was the last time you had to show your license in order to make a purchase! We will never recommend or utilize this furniture company again if these policies continue. ***************** was a sponsor of our nonprofit in the past. I will be sending him a letter as well. I will put this family in a hotel so they dont have to sleep on the floor in their new apartment tonight

      I purchased a "top of the line" Italian leather set sofa, chair and ottoman. 3 items at $4000.00 purchase. Once I brought home I set item up in living room where we seldom spend our time. I noticed the leather chair back cushion was not stitched the same and showed 2" off from matching other side. This is after 2 months had passed before we noticed the manufacture defect. After being raked over the coals for not noticing the defected item earlier ....I had to remind them there is a one year on defects regardless....Pictures were sent in to show the obvious issue and now it goes before investigation review board. Can you believe this crap....??? DO NOT BUY FROM AMERICAN FURNITURE WEAR HOUSE .... Look closely at the items in the showroom that have been tested by customer....The cushions are sagging and show wear just from the slightest use . This furniture will not last and serve your family well.....their furniture quality and customer service is the worse. Buy from Costco where you have no issues period if not completely satisfied.

      A one isnt even worth what they have done they treat th we it customers terrible after three weeks back and forth trying to get our furniture set taken care of still in warranty. They offered to fix it. It was taken for five days. I specifically asked could they please have it cleaned and covered in plastic before it was returned due to my husbands chronic illness. They agreed to do so. But then it was brought back. Not covered and smells like smoke. We dont smoke. When I reached out they said ****** did in customer service. Ohh we do g clean or sanitize the furniture. With all the virus going around thats just gross and bad business. Really. How many people touched it no gloves. Not covered not even sprayed. That would be a novel thought sanitizing. Excuses excuses. Pathetic customer service

      Do not stand behind their merchandise. Purchased a leather chair less than two years ago. Paid $600 and the material is coming apart. American furniture will not stand behind their products. Denied a under warranty. Horrible business model. They deserve a zero****

      I wish I could leave a Zero star review as that's how I feel right now. I've been a loyal customer and have spent over $20K in the past few years with AFW filling 3 houses. I purchased a table ****_D754-50B - GRINDLEBURGE RN TBL BASE,WH) in July 2022 and I'm noticing a defect where the one of the wood planks on the table has started to come up and is splintering and the varnish is coming off. I was encouraged by the store were I purchased it to reach out to warranty as there will be no problem getting it fixed or replaced because I'm still in the 1 year warranty window. So I reached out to warranty department through your website as I was told to do. (The Case # is ********) Was I surprised that is not the case as described by your store and I was told flat out they would not honor the warranty. After going back and forth with customer service I was denied stating the table could start to warp over time. I've explained that the piece is so bad that we had to move the table around as much as possible as glasses can't sit on it and people get splinters from it. All they would do is offer a quote for repair. Repair? So I can pay to repair an item that should be under warranty? After asking 3 times for a supervisor to call me to resolve it, I've been told a supervisor won't help as it was the supervisor is who told customer service to tell me it's typical for this table to warp and splinter. They didn't even offer to even get someone out to look at the table for a 2nd opinion. If that happened, I'd honor the decision a bit better. Also, If I was told that this table could warp and splinter and the varnish could come off within just a few months of purchasing it from the store, I would never have purchased this table. I was a loyal customer but I just spent my last money with your company over what probably would have cost you less then a few $100 to fix or replace.

      If I could leave 0 stars I would. We have been customers for almost 10 years and we recently purchased a second home up north and had a delivery set. We waited 2 weeks for our delivery because they only come up every other week and we were understanding. On the day of our delivery we find out that all but one piece of furniture is going to be delivered to our home in Peoria, not our second home. I called customer service and the woman claimed she was a manager who worked at corporate. She told me that their salesperson did our order wrong and there was nothing that could be done other than wait an additional 2 we asked why I have and i to wait 2 more weeks for an error that was on their end I was told you arent the only person this happens to and it happens often. I asked if I could cancel the portion of the order going to the incorrect address because we cannot wait an additional 2 weeks and was told it would be a $45 cancellation fee. Even though this error was on AFWs part. When asked why I had to pay a fee for cancellation when they werent willing to work on arranging a sooner delivery she told me that this is their policy and was not willing to budge. Disgusting level of customer service
