On 5/9/2025, myself and a friend each parked in the same PRRS parking lot (*****************************). We both attempted to pay for parking at the parking meter in the lot. The meter claimed that both payments were successful, so we believed we were good to go. Then, a week or two later, we each received notices of non-compliance in the mail from PRRS- mine was dated 5/13/2025. These claimed that we had "no permit/no facility registration/unauthorized parking" and were demanding $97. I looked back at my bank statement and realized that somehow the payment never actually went through, even though I tried to pay and the machine said it was successful. It was the same exact situation for my friend. I disputed my notice on 5/30/2025, explaining the full situation. ***** with PRRS responded via email on 6/5/2025, stating that "There were several transaction completed before and after your time on the lot.Without a screenshot of the mal-function or attempts to pay for parking the violation is valid.Going forward should you decide to park on this lot and experience technical difficulty exit the lot immediately and park elsewhere to avoid notices of this type."I'm not sure anyone would normally think to take a picture of the payment attempt, especially when the meter says that the payment went through. Since neither me nor my friend tooks photos of the "successful payment" message, and we don't have proof of payment since it didn't actually go through, we are being punished. We did our due diligence to be compliant and PRRS only stated that they would lower the notice amount to $77.I then received a letter from Daniel B Kelley Attorney at Law dated 6/28/2025, explaining that the balance due is in collection. I do not wish for this charge to go to collections when I made every effort to be compliant and do not believe that I should owe such a large amount to this private company that has exploited customers repeatedly.

My daughter in law used my wife's (******* ******) to take my 90 year old Mother to a physician's visit at Piedmont Physicians of ******* at **************. The requirement is for the parking fee to be paid within 15 minutes of parking. Unfortunately the payment was not completed until 20 minutes had passed. So my wife received a $55 fine with warnings that failure to pay within 30 days would result in debt collection, and threats to tow the car if parked there again, or booting the car if parked there again. We were informed that by entering the parking area we waived rights to a jury trial. This is terrible business practice. Honestly the fine is less important than people knowing what a terrible business this is. She was fined for being 5 minutes late paying a fee.

      Business Response

We do see your payment you just paid a little later than you should have. You have 10 minutes to pay for parking upon entering the lot and you took 20 minutes to pay. You did however, pay for the full time so we are dismissing your notice. We will also be refunding the notice you paid for so please allow 7-14 business days for this to process back to your card. There is no further action needed.

On 6/27/2025, I entered the parking garage operated by Parking Revenue Recovery Services, Inc. (PRRS) located at ********************************************************* at 7:33pm. I left the same parking garage at 8:11pm on 6/27/2025. This garage is located in Downtown ****** in a highly populated area that has limited parking available with Parking Garages being a primary resource. I am filing this complaint because upon entry of said garage there were no signs clearly and transparently indicating how to proceed with registration and payment. Additionally, upon entering there were no ways to take a voucher to indicate your time to pay upon leaving. The one sign that was posted near the elevators was about learning more about "Notice at Collection" which then directs you to a site explaining how to proceed with "notices of parking" again on their website with no clear indication of how to register your vehicle at their facility. On 7/8/2024 I received a "notice of non-compliance" from PRRS via mail which was indicated as a violation for "No Permit/No Facility Registration/ Unauthorized Parking". This violation incurred a Notice fee of $102. I am writing to report this entity for unfair practices surrounding predatory practices and a failure of transparency around regulations of using their facility. This garage is located in a densely populated area, where many people like myself are from out of town, and not familiar with the systems in place. This company failed to have transparent procedures and safeguards in place to protect consumers from entering a predatory practice like they operate. It lacked adequate signage with how to register their vehicles and allowed entry in to the facility with out credentials or proof of registration/permit. Nor were there any signage indicating what constitutes "Unauthorized Parking". None of these indications were posted in a manner of transparency or easy to understand resulting in a predatory practice of poaching on unsuspecting patrons.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/11/2025

Unfortunately, this is a pay to park lot. There are red and white signs as you enter the garage that state there is no free parking at any time and signs throughout that show you how to pay and the pricing available as well. This is a valid notice since there was no payment to park . This is a flat rate penalty fee that is assessed for this violation as the hourly/daily rates are only available on the day of parking and not afterwards. We consider this closed and paid in full since the notice is already paid for.

I am rejecting this response because: as previously stated there are not sufficient notices displayed about parking procedures and methods of payment. Be better and be transparent. Your predatory practices are appalling. The people of ****** and tourists deserve better. The corner parking lot down the street has more signage and actual koiosks that make the process seamless and transparent, be like them. The only reason we went to your parking lot was because all corner lots and our hotel valet were full at the time. I fully regret trying to be a patron of your establishment and will spread the word of your predatory practices. Good day.

      Sincerely,

Parking Revenue Recover Services, **** has sent me a bill that is falsely charging me $90 for parking on 4/19/2025. There was no visible signage present of a $90 fine when entering their lot, and their payment kiosk was not working, as I let them know. They have sent me a violation and are still asking that I pay them $70 within 10 days, which is also not okay.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/11/2025

There are signs on the lot as you enter and exit. There are red signs that state there is no free parking at any time and that if there is a violation you could be subject to fines up to $250.00. This is below that amount. Due to no payment to park this is a valid notice and is upheld. We will honor the settlement you were already given. If you would like to discuss this further, please call ************.

This business is trying to charge me $90 for allegedly going over my paid for limit in one of their parking lots. I paid $13 to park for a few hours and their time stamps say I stayed a few minutes longer. Theyve sent me images of my car in the mail and requested a payment of $90 to settle the notice. They also sent me a separate ticket for a different car.

I paid for a parking spot which was around $12 and this business is claiming I went over my allotted time which I did not. They started counting the time as soon as you enter the lot which doesnt account for when you actually find a spot to park in and get out to pay. Its a scam. They also sent me a notice MONTHS after the fact so I would forget where I parked at and the situation entirely and just pay the fee. This company does this to a lot of people by the looks of it. I disputed the charge with them SHOWING that I didnt go over the allotted time and they still say the charge wont be dropped. This is just extortion at this point of actual paying costumers and I will not stand by and let them get away with doing this to so many people. I expect that this charge be dropped ASAP since I disputed with full proof.

      Business Response

We are not a scam at all as we are a legit enforcement company for the parking lot operators across *****************. You only paid for 2 hours of parking and you were on the lot for 2 hours and 20 minutes. You have 10 minutes to pay for parking upon entering the lot (as per the signs on the lot), and you didn't pay for 24 minutes which is a violation. This is a valid notice and will remain upheld. If you would like to discuss this further, you can call ************ and speak to a representative.

      Complaint: 23571542

I am rejecting this response because: Im not sure if youre familiar with the particular lot this incident happened in, but it was hard to tell if the lot was legit because the floor wasnt actual pavement and it seemed people made their own parking spots, and the building the lot was in had numerous signs that made it seem like an employee only lot, hence why I was there for longer. If this lot had actual lines for parking spots and not random cars and trucks blocking exits and parked in the middle of the lot that was definitely not a parking space, it wouldve been easier to navigate. I know you see the amount of people calling your company out on this behavior and I saw your lawsuit about it too. It feels like a cheap way to try to squeeze more money out of people who actually pay to park.

      Sincerely,

      ********* ******

I parked in a parking lot for dinner on Fathers Day 2025. I paid for 2 hours and received a notice of non-compliance weeks later, stating I went over and charging me $97. The exit picture is a dark picture and doesnt clearly show my vehicle, so Im not sure it was my car. This fee is excessive given its not clear that my car was there beyond my allotted time that was paid for. Im requesting that this bill be dismissed. Thanks.

      Business Response

You only paid for 2 hours and you were on the lot for 2 hours and 28 minutes. That means there is time not paid for on the lot. This is a valid notice. This is a flat rate penalty fee that is assessed regardless of the amount of time you are over your paid parking session and it is valid and upheld. We will honor the settlement you were already given but that is the lowest we are able to go.

I received a notice from Parking Revenue Recovery Services, Inc stating that I violated parking rules in a private lot. However, the images provided in the letter only showed a car driving through the area at two different times. There is no clear evidence that my car was parked, and I did not knowingly violate any posted parking terms. If PRRS has additional evidence, I ask that they present it transparently. As of now, the only images included are blurred and fail to establish that a parking violation occurred. I respectfully request that this charge be removed from my account. The notice includes language that it may be assigned to collections, which I find unnecessarily aggressive, especially from a private entity with no governmental authority. This entire process feels misleading and punitive, particularly when no clear or timely notice was given to me at the time of the alleged incident.Thank you for reviewing my complaint. I would appreciate written confirmation that this matter is closed.

Unfortunately, this is a pay to park lot and you were on the lot for 2 hours and 14 minutes without paying.
