      I have provided Empower with instructions to issue a check for my 401k roller 3 times. They have issued the check incorrectly 3 times!!!

      This is the worst retirement company Ive ever dealt with. They dont deserve any respect or reviews I hate that my company chose this company. I requested a heart-ship with them it didnt go through because empower had the wrong zip code for me and I let my employer know and they changed it to the correct zip code and empower said that they didnt receive it so my employer emailed them with the right one and empower said that they never received it and that a lie. Just say that you dont want to give me my money

      Father passed away 03/2024, pension was over paid. I paid it back. Called Empower to make sure 1099-R would be correct in 12/24, was told it would be. Received incorrect 1099-R at end of Jan 2025. Have called 15 times since end of Jan 2025. It's March 25th and the 1099-R still have not been corrected. Was told several times that it had been correct when it had not. Called the *** today to help get this resolved. I am very frustrated with Empower, once they lied to me that was the end of my trust in them getting this issue resolved. Can not close father's Estate until this gets corrected.

      When switching to a new employer who uses empower as well caused my retirement account to be inaccessible and support just keeps transferring me back and forth like it's a game until their business hours are over. If I cannot access my account soon I will have to file a complaint against this company as this is unacceptable. Terrible support with a complete lack of customer service.

      Trash company sent me a email saying a member would reach out to me if there was any issues with my documents I scanned in . Well of course a week goes by and Im just expecting my money to hit or someone to call I had to literally call to find out there was a problem . This company ***** also if youre in desperate need of a hardship and your address isnt the same on file they want you to wait 15 days what kind of c*** is that? I canceled my 401k due to this insane c*** u gotta go through to get ur own money .., f u empower

      On Tuesday February 11th, I requested my account to be "closed" since I can NOT log into it since I was rehired at my job and they are CONTINUING to take my hard earned money and put it into an account I CAN.NOT.ACCESS!!! And no I cannot change my password to log into my account because the system physically doesn't let me and repeatedly says "User Authentication Failed". I want my money returned to me, I don't care how, I want.it.RETURNED! **************** is beyond useless and looks like the supervisors have no idea what they're doing either, since one said they "closed" my account but I still have money coming out of my Paycheck 2 paychecks later. Absolutely ridiculous and I truly do regret that my employer uses them.

      They take your money out of each paycheck, the more you make the more they take. It doesn't add up to what you should have when no longer employed and withdraw the money. I have proof of all the money that was taken automatically from my paychecks, and it is considerably higher than what they say I have In 401 k account. They rip you off, it's a racket all they do is steal your money. Do not trust them.

      Stay away from Empower! These folks use all the tricks to keep your money they have it. If you try to move your money (rollover) you will be put on hold repeatedly, told you're not fully vested so they will deduct money from your account, and told you have to pay a fee to transfer your money. They sell themselves to businesses for retirement services, and play games with the individual so they can't remove their money. Three phone calls, to empower, and we still can't get our money moved (rollover).

      Poor interface, difficulty reaching support, limited hours of operation, require excess work to access your own money. I would not recommend and will no longer use their services, as soon as I can reach an actual person to transfer my funds.
