      Ignored my mail in request that they demanded I send in. Still fighting with me on my electronic request to transfer my money to another institution. Unwilling to accept my Letter of Acceptance from my bank on letterhead with my bank account listed.

      "Empower retirement" is a great organization, they not grow my investments but keep me in the loop even when I forget, amazing service! Unfortunately my family and I are going through hard times, which seems to be the best times for emergencies to occur. I called Empower with the usual apprehensive, stress and anxiety that comes with dealing with individuals in this industry. Thankfully, I was pleasantly suprised. *** took my call and was professional, caring, tactful, swift, informative and for once I didn't feel judged when I explained my situation, in fact she is the first ******** for didn't ignore me or brush me aside. Instead, she helped me and made sure I was taken care of. Any company that deals with the public needs someone like *** to be the face of the company. From the first few seconds of conversation at 0900, she put me at ease and my stress finally eased a little, outstanding individual, a true ***** for me today. Thank you Empower for making it easy to apply to receive funds and thank you *** for being nice to me and treating me like a human being. I'll be sure to mention this company and pray for you and your family, thank you so much, I truly can't express how grateful and thankful I am, and once my financial situation is stable I'll be investing my hard earned money in this company.       Do Not trust this company. I asked several questions before giving them my money to manage. I talked to 3 different representatives. They lied about all their fees. I was also told before any investments would be made, I would talk to someone about acceptable level of risk. I never got a call, but they put my money in high risk. And on the first day of opening my account they lost a large sum of money.

      0 stars!! Impossible to find out what real rate of return is on any investment with them. No way to track it in the real world (I.e. stock market) because they use their own made up ticker numbers. They charge to withdraw money and wont allow rollover directly to Fidelity (they made me receive a check in the mail which I then must cash and send money.)Horrible

      Attempting to rollover 401k to *** at ******************* enlightened me to a culture of dishonesty at retirement The first ********* ****** honestly replied that both necessary forms were received "and don't let them tell you different" The second ******** **** emphatically denied receiving Separation from Employment Withdrawal Kit. I was then transferred to ******** **** who appeared to speak English as a second language. She refused to email "page 11" in which they claim I wrote birth date instead of signature date. I personally know this to be untrue. However, **** was able to email blank kit with page 11 which I resigned and dated. This has since been faxed to Empower from ********************Empower operates within culture of dishonesty and require immigrant ********s to lie also.

      RED FLAG Empower Retirement must undergo an audit immediately. Numerous red flags cannot be ignored. Evidently, the company consistently engages in dishonesty, delays, and non-compliance with guidelines, suggesting potential illegal activities. My husband has been grappling with them for over a month regarding his retirement fund, and the runaround we are receiving has now reached the company's benefits coordinator. It is unacceptable to approve and disburse funds for a hardship with documentation that will take over a month. There is a clear indication of something deeply concerning that demands investigation before innocent people suffer irreversible financial losses.Incompetent people with subpar customer service. They don't read the documents you submit. You speak to several different people who are just as daft as the person before. This whole experience has been pure h*** for us.

      My last company recently shut down. I had to rollover my 401k to my personal account where I had an *** already set up, ready to complete the rollover.I called their customer service line multiple times, they kept directing me to mail them something or fill out a form on their site, and became really uncooperative when I explained that their approach was confusing and not helpful.I specifically mentioned they had done a great job in the past, but now were totally dropping the ball. After hours of being put on hold, I transferred to the manager who was probably even WORSE at customer support, and she told me shed resolve it and hung up. I still haven't received anything concrete from them. I would never use this company again.

      Tried to get a hardship withdrawal, submitted docs, and was denied now I am living in my car. Not surprised to see all the negative reviews -- I don't want to quit my job but I want out of this mess. Looking into whether my 457 plan can be terminated without ending employment. So disappointed.

      I absolutely HATE that my ********** was taken over by Empower. **************** is extremely difficult to work with. They make it difficult to pull money from your own account. Please stop using Empower.

      Extremely rude staff. Spoke to *****. The whole 30 minute free consultation all he wanted me to do is get in front of a computer and show him all my accounts. Rather then go over what he could do with a minimum of ******* investment. I kept asking if it would be better then the 8 percent of returns I was getting now, I could have paid to have better treatment. I own two houses. I told him I had equity in both my houses one with ******* in equity and the other one ******* and when I told him I only had ****** in my bank account he told me I had to have ******* in cash now and yelled at me and asked me why I even called back in the first place. Told him I could get it. But nah after the yelling session and how crazy he sounded wouldnt do business with this company if it was the last place. Should have recorded him. So people could hear it, wouldnt be surprised if he was having financial difficulties, because the way he sounded it was like it was the end of the world. I never ever expected someone to raise his voice the way he did. Even if I got my money out. Would tell people to stay away they dont give a **** about you just what they can grab their hands on.
