They billed me for transport to a hospital in ******** and also billed my insurance company. I have never been to ******** and live in ***********. Contacted AMR and they weren't helpful. Contacted the hospital and they stated that they have no record of me being there at anytime. Contacted the ********* ******************** and they coordinate ambulance services. I provided the service date and the pickup location. They found the call and could only provide that I was not the person picked up. Contacted my insurance company and they started a fraud investigation. Contacted AMR again and asked if they had the paperwork where I was turned over to the hospital. They declined to provide and stated that they would investigate and would let me know something in the next 5 days. Useless, I have an 850 credit rating and they are s******* with it. The Attorney General will be my next contact and also the *************************** These are scammers and count on people just paying. Make millions that way. Everyone needs to file complaints on them. Look at their rating.

Lied 3 times about submitting to my insurance. I provided my current insurance information at time of service, then again in early April, and again on 4/17/24. I was given the name of the AMR representative in ***** along with a confirmation number. I continued to receive FREQUENT billing notices (several times per week) via email and text. I spoke again with them, on 5/23 /24, first time with someone else in ***** who couldnt understand me nor could I understand her. I called again and got another representative who told me they submitted to an insurance company I havent had in 3 years and never used their services-this was the only time in my life I needed an ambulance. Once again they told me the same thing, they submitted it to the old insurance company when I provided CURRENT insurance information 3 TIMES. I have kept the new confirmation number and her name. IF YOU CAN AVOID THIS COMPANY PLEASE TRY. THEY ARE A SCAM.

Received a bill in the mail and submitted my insurance four times. AMR continues to try and say my insurance was not active at time of service three times. I called insurance to verify that it IS and HAS BEEN active. My last attempt today when I told the lady I was going to threeway call the insurance stated they could not do that with me. I cannot find a place to reach a higher up and am fed up with the terrible service.

This fire department is awful, I highly consider looking for a house not serviced by them. My son, 8, was choking on a candy so I called 911. Rural metro decided to send a fire truck and not an ambulance. The fire truck arrived 30 minutes later. My son would had been dead had I not dislodged the candy by this point via ******** maneuver. The fire department rural metro then has the nerve to send me a $600 bill. I have been trying to get in contact with multiple people in regard to this bill. I have spoken with ******, ******, everyone under the sun in billing. They will do absolutely nothing to assist with the bill and provide so much misinformation. Even after I explained the fire fighters poor response times. When calling 911 request an ambulance at all costs. They are going to be sending my bill to collections and they wont bill this with my medical insurance. Rural metro is a joke and works based on a yearly membership fee. Scam.Side note: this service is not covered under health insurance even though it was a medical response.

This company transferred my husband from one hospital to another. The second hospital had not been told about certain medical equipment he required and would not check him in. These drivers left him in a hospital gown in the lobby with no wallet or money. The drivers said they had to go on another call. We had to call my son to pick him up and take him back to the original hospital. I have been on the phone for 2 days trying to get to a supervisor to file a complaint. First I was told that they were highly trained agents and that I didn't need a supervisor. When I tried to explain why I wouldn't be paying this bill I was threatened with collection. He finally told me that he put me in for a supervisor callback in 3-5 business days. A woman called this afternoon, but left no extension She just said to call the toll free number. II did and was told they couldn't find her and to wait for the next few days for another call. I said I will hold while they find a supervisor to talk to me. I have been on hold for 40 minutes and nothing.

I applied to get help getting my bill forgiven or reduced from AMERICAN MEDICAL RESPONSE. I have applied three times, and have not received any response to the applications that I have sent to them. On the application says we will get back to you within ten days. Instead they sent the bill to collections.

I received a bill today for transportation of my daughter from a retirement home to children's hospital. 1, she has never been to this retirement home, 2 it was supposedly over a year ago and 3 she was never transported by this company.

Anthem initially paid my AMR ambulance bill as "out of network". We filed an appeal with Anthem and were in frequent contact with AMR to let them know we were waiting on a decision on our Anthem appeal. They sent us to collections anyway for a ~$2600 balance. We immediately paid the collections agency because we were worried about our excellent credit rating. Three months ago, soon after we paid the balance, Anthem fully paid the claim, leaving our account with a ~$2600 credit--a very straightforward situation that should result in a refund to us. We have called AMR 7 times in the past three months and each time we are told "the account is still in review, call back in X days". Each time we call back, there has been no progress on the review. There is absolutely nothing complicated about this account. We paid. The insurance company also paid. We are owed a refund. Inethical business practices and awful cutsomer service.

AMR is very hard to work with it. All the calls were routed to **** (*****) and they didn't know all the information and it became frustrating that there was no help. My insurance has plan discounted price from them and they still send the balance bill to me. It seems to be a scam if you don't pay attention. I don't understand why they are sending all our information to *****, which has a lot of issues and scam calls from this country.

I took a ride in an ambulance to the hospital in February. I got a bill for $3000. I called and gave my insurance information. Shortly after that I received a bill for $589.18. I assumed it was due to my insurance paying the rest. I went to pay the bill electronically and the system wouldn't let me. I called the number for help and someone stated that is the discount they give to those without insurance. I said, no where is it stated on the bill that this is the case and I would just like to pay my bill. She said I had to wait until the day before the bill is due before I can pay it to see if insurance will pay anything. I asked her what happens if my insurance doesn't pay anything? She said that I would be responsible for the full $3000. This practice seems strange. They send a bill out not stating anywhere on the bill that it is only for those without insurance or that they are waiting for insurance coverage. Then when I call they tell me the bill is void now.

The consumers concerns have been reviewed. The discount that was initially offered is for uninsured patients. The consumers insurance information was received and billed accordingly which then voids discount.
