The professionals who drove the ambulance and supported my child are not in question. They would receive top rankings. However, the company itself has been an absolute nightmare to work with. They have billed my insurance 3 times for one claim and 2 times for another. Insurance has paid them 3 times!!! Yet, I am receiving a bill for the full amount. I am on a call with two outsourced groups and it is absolutely frustrating and completely maddening that I have to mediate the conversation. Aetna confirmed payment. I have confirmed payment, yet AMR states there is still more to pay on the bill. HOW? There was no payment plan and I paid in full. I have called support, and it's a waste of time. I have requested the transcripts to prove how AMR purposefully is unhelpful and artificially creates new charges. The outsourced help center has nobody to escalate to.I want AMR to STOP billing me for the SAME Bill. This is 2 years old and AMR is still billing me. The harassment and racketeering attitude and culture is disguising especially since they are an emergency service. Shame on them.

So I gave them the number she said it takes 30 days so disregard your bill. Time goes on I call again employee days he has down and fears the numbers and address. Not only was it my parents address it was my ******** ******** number and he died a year ago. I gave him the correct address and ******** number and he said it takes 30 to 40 days disregard the bill. What in h*** are these guys doing? Most of the reviews are a 1 star and that's 1 star to many

Our office has thoroughly reviewed the consumers concerns.  Our billing team was initially unable to determine eligibility for the consumers ******** insurance.  As a result, the consumer was billed for the service.  However, after further review,it has been determined that the consumer had ******** coverage at the time of service.

At this time, a claim has been submitted to ******** and the trip is on hold pending a response.  We would like to thank the consumer for bringing this matter to our attention and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

American Medical Response evidently does not bill insurance companies with the correct codes. This way, they let the time run out so that I end up having to pay for the trip or have my credit ruined. This is wrong! They only get away with it because they are a monopoly. We call 911 and the dispatcher sends this sorry company and we have no choice.

Give them a zero if I could. They send an ambulance all right. But not what was requested. Sent a treat, no transport when we specifically requested a transport to ER. Then they have the nerve to double bill us for services not performed. Very crooked company. Trying to make money off little old ladies that can't afford it! They should be ashamed. Hope they sleep well at night!

Reach out several times in emails and by phone regarding my dad being in accident while being transported back from VA to home. AMR did not contact me as his MPOA/POA but encouraged my elderly dad he was ok to go home and not to VA ER for evaluation. They removed him from scene and put him in another AMR vehicle before police was called. They refused to advise and provide me with police report to show the incident report my dad being a patient in the AMR vehicle at time of incident.

I haven't had a problem with AMR until I just received recently received a text stating that I owe a balance on a bill. A.R has never sent me a bill in the mail for me to examine so I blocked the text.I assume this is a scam.

The ambulance driver, I cannot comment on. The *** in the back of the ambulance, was profane (including f**k, s**t, and a*****e) and made entirely unfounded accusations; he was also belligerent. He accused me of things I was not guilty of. He encouraged the police to investigate things that I was not guilty of. While I was ultimately proven innocent, I incurred more than $11,000 in legal fees and a close-to $8000 bill from AMR for the privilege. I was involved in a multi car accident, I was not placed in any restraints or braces whatsoever until I arrived at the hospital very far from the scene of the accident. The nurse at the hospital was horrified that I was not in a C collar, never mind a torso brace. The *** that rode with me in the back of the ambulance accused me of horrible, felonious things that were entirely untrue. Evidence has ultimately proven that this was untrue and that I was totally and completely innocent, but I went through over half a year of legal trouble that is still ongoing because of this gentleman false accusations. I remember him screaming at me youre drunk, or youre on something! over and over again. I was not drunk. I was not on anything. I was entirely sober, under the influence of nothing. This ***, employed by AMR, has ruined me, basically entirely. To be very clear, no officers whatsoever on scene, nor did any other ***s suspect that I was under the influence whatsoever, only the one *** that rode in the back of the ambulance with me, he is the one who convinced the *** to come back to the hospital and ruin my life. I am devastated financially, reputation-wise, and I barely managed to save myself legally. I was charged with crimes, that I was innocent of. My license was suspended, when it should not have been. This wats entirely based on the word of the *** that rode in the back of the AMR ambulance with me and yelled at me the whole time and failed to provide proper medical care.

AMR took my husband from ******************* of the front door to the helicopter pad in parking lot. Insurance paid them over $300 for a ride of a few hundred feet. I have called them to dispute the bill of$ ******** and wanted a statement of exactly how many feet they hauled him with no copy of it ever received. This company should not be in business. To our knowledge my husband signed nothing giving permission for them to transport him a short distance. We will not be paying this because it's ridiculous. I hope this company goes out of business because of dishonesty.

I'm writing to urgently address a billing issue I've been experiencing with American Medical Response (AMR) and Aetna. Following a medical emergency, AMR provided transportation to Saint ******* Hospital, for which I received a bill totaling $1086.33. My insurance plan, *****, covered $869.06, leaving me responsible for $217.27. However, AMR is insisting on payment of the remaining balance, and claiming they only received $290 from Aetna, despite *****'s confirmation of sending the full amount. My attempts to resolve this issue with AMR's customer ********************** have been frustrating and unproductive. Their representatives seem untrained or unwilling to assist, and I feel like I'm speaking to someone who doesn't comprehend the situation or is reading from a script. ***** has provided evidence of sending the correct payment, yet AMR persists in demanding additional funds beyond what my insurance allows. This situation is deeply troubling, as it feels like exploitation of individuals during vulnerable moments, such as emergencies where ambulance services are required. I'm reaching out for urgent assistance in resolving this matter and preventing further undue stress and financial burden. It's concerning that despite having insurance coverage, I'm being pressured to pay more than what is deemed appropriate. Your prompt attention to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I was billed for services from AMR that were above what other companies charge. Then they told me they wouldn't accept the contract rate allowed by my insurance and billed me for the overage.. the total bill was over $3,000. AND they stated they won't accept the rate even though I have no other choice but AMR in our town.. furious.
