Horrible company. They were supposed to provide a discount to my insurance company as they are under contract with them. They are refusing to honor the contract and keep saying I owe them money. I keep getting threatening messages from their company about sending the bill to collections. I already paid my part and so did the insurance company. This company is a complete joke. My insurance company said do not pay them as what they are doing is complete fraud at this point.

Our office has thoroughly researched the consumers concerns.  Unfortunately, AMR is not contracted with the consumers insurance carrier. As a result, the consumer is responsible for any unpaid balance.

At this time, the consumer's account has been placed on hold while our ******************** re-confirms if there is an active contract with the consumer's insurance carrier.

We will follow up with the consumer once an update is available.

For further questions or concerns, please contact our customer ********************** department at **************.

I took and ambulance on almost my death bed. My insurance paid them. They made me help them resubmit a the claim. Now they are harassing me. My insurance company tells me I owe nothing and the dispute is over and they will call and confirm again. Now Im getting texts from these thieves. Truly unbelievable.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Before being placed in the ambulance we asked if my father could drive me the 18 miles to the hospital. They said no because they were concerned that something would happen and medical care would be needed. We asked what the ambulance cost would be and if it was in-network with Bon Secours/and Anthem. They said they could not answer that question but to ask the ambulance people. They had no idea. We were later SURPRISED that the cost was more than double the highest rates in Chesterfield County. I cannot afford these rates as a part-time food service worker and student. My insurance covered the maximum amount allowed for these services but AMR refused to accept that as payment in full. I offered to pay 15% more than the maximum amount. Again, AMR insisted on an additional $1,490.90 ($2342.30 was the total). It is my understanding this goes against their business claim to focus on reducing the per capita cost of health care when they have exceeded by almost times the county level. They also provided surprise billing when asked to provide the cost. How can I get this bill eliminated or reduced to a reasonable and competitive amount? Thank you

In September of 2023, I took an ambulance to the *** I didn't do this in jest, I was in 12 out of 10 pain. Though they had my insurance ******************* they didn't file it properly to begin with & so it was resubmitted. But they left my insurance card out next to the trash where it could've been lost, stolen or anything; If it weren't for my husband intervention once he arrived. But the real problem was/is their willful ignorance to the facts in my case. My EOB stated my RESPONSIBILTY was/is $250.00. Covered CA stated Both IN & OUT of Network my portion is/was $250.00. But I get a letter saying I owe $3,373.21. I DO NOT. They have been hounding me ever since. At first they tried to get more from the insurance company AND IN THE LETTER ASK FOR MY HELP TO INTERVENE ON THEIR BEHAVE. I did make a call to my insurance & read the letter. Their reply: I owe $250.00 And if they have an issue with what the insurance company paid, they need to contact them directly. So, this is where I left it. In Dec, I paid my $250.00, though I never got a bill for my portion. Instead, I'm getting VM, *************** demanding $3,373.21. Their customer ********************** is a joke. They DON'T ACCEPT THE **** I'M RESPONSIBILE FOR ONLY $250.00 WHICH HAS BEEN PAID--THE CHECK CASHED. I WANT THEM OFF MY BACK, THEY'RE MAKING ME SICK. Which of course, is antithetical to any "healthcare" company that's any good. These people are doing this in all 40 states they operate in and all of us vulnerable people suffer. Also, AMR is a monopoly, so none of ** have another choice. Even in SB county where they got wise and voted them out, AMR is suing. Their greed Astounds! BBB Needs to start Advocating for AMR Victims because making these complains ISN'T A DETERRANT. THIS IS THEIR MO. I pray a ********* gets these complaints together & starts a Class Action Suit in All 40 States AMR operates in. As I said, this is the way they DO Business. And It's Morally/Ethically Wrong. They Need to be Stopped.

American Medical Response has continued to harass me for the balance of a debt they say I owe. However, my insurance company, ********** / Blue Shield of Texas, has assured me that after they paid their part, I owned AMR $500, which I paid, and no more. AMR vastly overcharged for the five minute ambulance ride - $1,700. They have now sicced a debt collection company on me who call every day. I provided AMR with the details and letter from BCBS, but they are not satisfied with the amount the insurance negotiated with them and are trying to get an additional $1,100 from **** am ashamed that the ***************** employs this company when you call 911.

I would give zero stars to them. At the time of accident there is no choice given to the customer since the police calls them, so they take advantage of that and harass the customers with hefty bills that insurance does not cover since they are not contracted with them. We got a bill for ~$2800 for a short 10min ride which they submitted to insurance after 1 year. The case was already closed by the insurance by then settling all hospital bills. So they started billing and harassing us regularly. The insurance company reopened the case on our repeated request and paid 50% since this company is not in contract. Then they are after us again for the remaining balance. This company should be legally investigated.

They keep billing me for a service my insurance covers. I call, someone argues with me, I offer to do a three-way call with my insurance, they refuse and say they'll send it to the insurance again. This has been an ongoing cycle for seven months. My insurance company tells me definitely don't pay, but these clowns just keep harassing me. I feel bad for the awesome paramedics working for this horrible company.
