1 starBUYER BEWARE: avoid any retailer that uses XPO to deliver your item!

XPO is absolutely horrible! XPO requires someone to be home for a delivery so my husband took off for our first scheduled delivery (8/22/22). I called that morning to get a delivery time window and was told I would be contacted 30 mins prior to arrival. Come Monday afternoon and no word from XPO, I called and they apologized that the item never made it on the truck. We spent 1.5 weeks after that trying to get XPO to deliver our item... AWFUL customer communication and customer service. Their customer service phone lines have awful connection so you can hardly understand what they're saying, and they refuse to connect you with the local hub to speak with someone with info about your product.
when our item finally arrived, the delivery guys almost gave us the wrong mattress. we questioned the size and color but they assured us it was correct. thankfully they checked and agreed that it wasn't correct... just an awful experience.Review fromAnne L

1 starWe bought a stove on a tax-free day, Sunday, August 14. I was notified that XPO would deliver the stove on Monday, August 15. While we waited on the time slot given to us, the delivery truck called and informed us that the road was blocked and that we had to reschedule. We called and texted him that the road wasn’t blocked and he could come, but he refused to come. The other few times they tried to come out of the delivery time informed to us. The stove is going to a rental property and we don’t live there. We repeatedly told XPO that we need to get a half-hour notice if they are coming out of the scheduled time frame. All our complaints and frustration are to no veil. When we complained to the store employees, we heard ***** has a lot of complaints about this delivery company. If ***** is receiving a lot of complaints about the delivery company, it is mind-boggling why you’re still doing business with XPO. The drivers were rude. Even if they are 5 minutes away from you, they refuse to come to you. The manager was not helpful at all, full of promises but no deliveries. It was an awful experience for anybody to go through 6 unsuccessful deliveries. On one of the scheduled deliveries, they could not find the stove.Review fromCara C

1 starI just purchased a home 6 months ago and had an inspection done with no concerns pointed out by the inspector. Last month my washer went out and I purchased one from ****** the 3rd party company they hired for delivery was XPO Logistics. The delivery team was super nice, however, they started an empty load to show me everything was working and left. My home flooded causing damage to my new floors and my walls. Turns out there are 2 pvc pipes behind my washer and they used the wrong one. This caused a bio hazardous flood because the pipe they used was for an old septic drain. I understand mistakes happen, BUT XPO denied my claim and refused to take any responsibility for the direct action and damage caused by their drivers. I did all the cleaning and drying myself and my lawyer said we had a strong case to sue. At the point I had an inspection from the damages, turns out I did a great job drying everything out quickly and decided not to go through the hassle to sue. This is so disgusting for a company not to be empathetic and even PUT THE BLAME ON ME. I had no idea and the drivers didn’t ask any questions or have any concerns. Unfortunately, the direct action of the drivers invalid and careless installation caused damage to my home and traumatized me as a first time home buyer.Review frompavan k

1 starwhat else can i add when so many people have already wrote about the frustrations they had with this never delivering company . Except for wasting time on the phone I believe i didnt know to write about this company . I believe they are holding on to my items for more than a month and making me call them again and again . 1 starXPO Logistics is the worst. They care more about their pockets then customer service. The notes from ******* indicated install and haul away but because ******* didn't pay upfront they refused to do it. Common courtesy would be not to let the customer have fault in the battle between the two businesses. And when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told they are all busy right now. SMH. Even when I said I would wait. He refused to give me a supervisor and just kept apologizing. I don't want your apology I want my delivery.Review fromChris M

1 starI can’t leave 0 stars so I have to pick 1. I had ordered a DIY kit from ****** that was picked up from the store and was to be delivered to my house via XPO. I called ***** the morning of the delivery date to get an idea of what time it would be coming. I was told I was 3rd on the list and it would be here in the morning. I called out of work to accept the delivery and start building the shed. After waiting all day for it to show up I called ***** about it and they informed me the status was “not delivered” despite no attempt at delivering it. The ***** manager said the driver had to bring it back to the store and they would get it out to me the following day. The following day I contacted first thing in the morning again. My order never made it back to the store. The manager who was then on duty contacted XPO and learned it was delivered to the wrong location. I spent all day trying to speak with a manager from XPO which apparently is not possible. Their customer service is horrendous. No one knows what they are doing there. I don’t understand how they are even still able to operate as a shipping company. Worse experience with any customer service or company in my life.Review fromChristine C

1 starWe just had 4 HEAVY pallets of fabric delivered. Unfortunately, I was informed of this AFTER the driver had left and was working in a different part of the building so I couldn't over hear the conversation. The driver didn't talk to me about the delivery, but instead took advantage of my employee; telling him that it was his job to unload the freight alone. He said that he was just a driver and not a delivery guy.
It was delivered on Friday afternoon around 12:15 pm. He didn't leave until around 12:45. Unfortunately my employee doesn't speak great English, let alone read it. He told me the driver pointed to a part of the paper and said "Driver only, no unloading." The paper says NOTHING about it. The driver didn't even fill out our copy of the receipt. So I have NO NAME to go by.
Again, this has NEVER happened with any other delivery we have ever EVER received.
If this is how the company arranged it, it is INCREDIBLY irresponsible to not contact the receiver of the shipment before hand to ensure someone is there to unload it. AND they should give a discount on a comparable delivery to a company whose driver also unloads because, having worked here 7 years and my guy having worked over 25 years in this industry, we have NEVER ONCE encountered a driver who didn't do all, if not most, of the unloading work. Especially on a FREIGHT shipment. I'm a tiny weak person, and if my guy hadn't been here, either it would've been impossible to move, because the freight ramp is almost too heavy for me to move and carry, or it would've been over an hour of him waiting on me to unload as I pace myself to not break my back doing his job. Terrible. Horrible. Lazy driver. Lazy company for letting him get away with that. And taking advantage of someone just because they can't read in English the fine print.Review fromAlla T

1 starI had a pickup of an item to be returned to the store I bought it from scheduled for Monday, July 11. The night before I received a message confirming the pickup. On Monday morning I received a phone call informing me that the truck is full and there will be no pickup. They offered reschedule for Tuesday. In the evening, I received a confirmation about the next day pickup. Tuesday morning it was cancelled again citing my building not being on their route. We reschedule for Thursday, July 14. The night before I received a confirmation about the pickup. Thursday morning I received a phone call canceling the pickup Because there was no room on the truck. I asked to talk to a supervisor. The pickup was rescheduled for the next day, Friday, July 15. In the evening I received a confirmation. The next day it was cancelled. I called a supervisor again. The supervisor said I was going to be a priority and they can pick the table up on Monday. I said after 4 confirmations followed by four cancellations I don’t trust them anymore.
I’m filing this complaint in the hope that this company will be flagged as not reputable. I don’t live in the city and came in with the sole
Purpose for the table to be picked up for a return. It’s atrocious that I scheduled pickups two weeks in advance , that they were confirmed and cancelled the same day FOUR times.Review fromTiffany M

1 starAfter scheduling my new washer and dryer for delivery on the morning of 8/04, and continually assuring me throughout the day that the delivery would still happen after they missed the delivery window, they sent me a text on 08/05 saying that, "Once your product arrives, we’ll contact you to arrange delivery….You’ll get a text every time there’s an update”. No one contacted me when the item arrived. I had to contact XPO myself to reschedule the delivery. I rescheduled the delivery for 8/12 with a 9am-1pm window and received a text stating “We’ll notify you about 30 mins before arrival”. On 8/12, one of the delivery guys rang my doorbell at 8am. At 8:05am, I received a text stating that my order was on its way and would be at my house between 9am-1pm. At 8:15am, I received a text stating that my delivery was next and would be delivered in 30 minutes. When I showed the first delivery guy what they would be hauling away, he told me that the pedestals from my old washer and dryer would not fit the new washer and dryer and they would haul all four pieces away. The entire delivery took about an hour. When the delivery guys left, I went to inspect everything. They had left the instructions and a bunch of pieces on top of the washer and dryer bent the gas line, ran the hoses in front of the utility sink, left a random hose in said sink, and marked up my wall. After taking stock of and documenting the damage, I decided that I would need to purchase new pedestals. While shopping for new pedestals, I found out that Samsung pedestals are one size fits all… meaning that the delivery guys were just too lazy to disconnect the old washer and dryer from the pedestals and attach the new ones and essentially stole $600 of my property by lying to me. I filed two complaints, one via text and one via phone. Both times I was told that I would be contacted within 24-48 hours. Come Wednesday, I still hadn’t been contacted, so I called XPO, only to be told again that they would reach out.
