This company should get ZERO stars. They let ****** **** ** ********* ******** ** ********** ** rip off their customers. That's why I dropped Aetna and will never ever in life get them as an insurance company again. I hope it was worth it when you go out business and all y'all lose your jobs. Then it will be "YOUR" problem like you told me. Have fun in the unemployment lines.

The Aetna CVS Health System assigned me a PCP who DOES NOT ACCEPT this health insurance. This was my first red flag, but I chose to be optimistic. Since this was my first time with this insurance company I ventured out a began looking for a PCP through their website. 5 hours later I am now on the phone with a representative from Aetna. It’s been about 29 minutes and as he is going down the list he keeps saying, ‘nope they don’t take you either’… and so on and so forth. This “Health Insurance” Company is not only a joke, but a SCAM. Run! Do not waste your time with this company.

      - 0 - ZERO STARS.: Aetna should not be in business. They are negligent and fraudulent. They deny or won’t approve most claims. Example- Brain tumor surgery. They are taking months denying appeal after appeal stating surgery is “experimental and investigational” and “not medically necessary”. Even after a peer to peer review with the neurosurgeon. This is their way of getting out of paying their insured policyholders life saving surgery. Yet my tumor grows and every day is possibly a day closer to my demise at the hands of my supposed “health” insurance company.
This is also happening to everyone at our employment and everyone I know who has the unfortunate luck of having Aetna.

Awful! Their customer service is the worst. The customer service is farmed out to the *********** and they do not understand what they are doing. It seems as though they are reading from a manual. They talk fast and if I ask a question they have to way to critically understand a problem. You get passed on or put on hold if they do not understand your question or do not want to continue. I have also been trying to get my EFT through since November but since there are so many channels, I cannot find anyone onshore (American) to help with processing my EFT. They tell you to call ****** *********** I contacted ****** ***********and they kindly explained that it needs to be processed through Aetna and that it has been processed through ****** ***********as of November 2022. The problem is that you can't reach an Aetna customer service rep that can do anything about it on Aetna's end. It is really frustrating knowing that you're going to get the run around or get someone who really doesn't know what they are doing. Everything gets slowed down with Aetna because it's a huge corp that is separated into so many separate sections that don't talk to eachother that so much of it gets lost in translation. Things don't get done quickly. Also they say things that they don't understand. I called for a client inquiring about ********** before and they said yes it is covered with *******. I had no idea what ******* was so I asked it I was covered under ********** and they said yes. I verified 3x with 3 different phone calls. Turns out that ******* was their ********** provider and I had to be paneled with ******* to be paid. I was not paid for that claim. Also I have been reprocessing claims and have had to continue to follow up on them and find that another address is on one of them and I need to do a formal change of address where another claim's reprocessing went through. IT IS SO FRUSTRATING TO BE A PROVIDER FOR AETNA

Aetna Insurance part D is bad. Prescription coverage is terrible. I have BPH, had the prostate biopsy, was prescribed an FDA approved medication for which there is a generic version, it works well for me. The pharmacy said Aetna won’t cover it. I bought it with a coupon for $18 for ninety days supply. Won an appeal with help from urologist, they still won’t pay for it. Going to cancel Aetna.

This the worst possible insurance company you can imagine. They cover NOTHING, the website doesn't provide you EOBs and the representatives are liars- they'll just hang up on you. I have spent hours of my life on the phone with them for them to tell me that they were going to take care of something and then nothing is done. I have been outright lied to so many times and I am out thousands- do NOT trust this company!

Aetna should be stopped from selling any type of Medicare plans!!!!! I have been fighting with
them for 24 months. They bought a company named Silver Scripts. I had Silver Scripts plus Medicare part D for 2 years prior and they paid benefits properly on my prescriptions. Once
Aetna took over in Jan of 2021 I have had nothing but issues with my claims not being paid
      properly!!!!
The bad part is that CMS part of Medicare gives them the permission to sell Medicare Plans
but then CMS fails to hold the private companies accountable to pay benefits properly!!!!!!
A poor way to do business all around and I see no answers at this time.
I have now got my Representative of the house looking into this issue.

Aetna Or really *** Health, who recently bought Aetna in 2019.
Did not see the announcement that you will now be penalizing members ( WOMEN ) who are using local pharmacies for their scripts ( BIRTH CONTROL ) .
Is this part of your plan ? " At Aetna, a *** Health business, we are building a healthier world by making healthcare easy, affordable and all about you. "
This is not easy nor AFFORDABLE for most women. We trust our local pharmacists to protect and defend our health along with our providers.
For you to penalize women for using there local pharmacies is essentially taking power out of women's hands.
      Pretty LOW of you

Previously I paid nothing out-of-pocket using **** (besides co-pays) and now with Aetna my out-of-pocket is in the thousands, plus my co-pays have almost doubled, and my prescriptions that were previously no more than $5 each are now $45 each. They deny every single claim. Their website shows certain providers as covered but after you go to them they aren’t covered. They don’t cover ANY medical equipment that you have to get from a medical company that was ordered by a doctor. The premium is relatively the SAME COST as ***** Do yourself a favor and stay with ***** You’ll save yourself THOUSANDS in the end. And you’ll be doing your health a favor because you won’t have the financial or general stress of having Aetna. (Because they’re not going to cover any medical bills that are a result of the stress they causes.)

I will not be renewing my policy with Aetna. I do not want to give them even one star. Their lack of communication and customer service is unacceptable. I have never been treated so disrespectfully before by a company. If you want to be treated like complete garbage, this is the company for you.
