      Switched to Aetna on 1 October 2022 from Medicare/Medicaid plans. Reason for switch: Aetna offered vision and dental coverage.... Turns out there are NO dentists in Central ******* that accept Aetna dental coverage and are accepting new patients. BIG mistake switching to Aetna.

      I have had health insurance on a group policy with Aetna for some time, I have no complaints with the base company. Bu they have an associated company called "******** that is a branch with Aetna and ****  ******* is to put it mildly...a total fraud. I refinanced my home and was contacted by one of their sales reps (which incidentally do NOT work for the main company), the sales rep named R*** G**** is a total fraud. First he put together a policy and asked me to sign it, which I did, then when the print copy came back it was totally different from what we had discussed. I cancelled the policy and never heard from him for several months. Then with no warning at all, I received another policy in the mail...On my son (we had not requested on on him). They also set up "auto pay" and started taking money from my bank, without authorization. I called Accendo and cancelled that policy, the next month, I got another policy in the mail and found another debit to by bank account. I cancelled this one as well since it was supposedly a policy on me but had my name incorrect on the policy as the insured. I contacted Accendo to tell them to have their agent cease and desist with the policies, after several hours on hold with a dozen or so people, it became clear that no one at this company has a clue about customer service, and I still doubt that they will ever get this mess cleaned up.

      Aetna HMO Medicare advantage plan is terrible! They had an outdated address for my surgeon (who was listed on Aetna’s in-network list) and the claims were denied because physician was “out of network”. Both the surgeon’s office and myself tried alerting Aetna by phone and email of the wrong office address but still no action has been taken by Aetna. The office visits were September & October and this is now December. When I call, I get customer service who tells me that it is out of his control to change the doctor’s address. I ask to be transferred and customer service won’t transfer me to the IT department. The doctors’ office gets the same reply from customer service. I have osteoarthritis and need an injection of Orthovisc in my knee asap, but do not want my doctor to get another denied claim and have me responsible for the balance. I can hardly wait till I can drop this hoax of an insurance and switch back to ****** first of the year!

      I hate giving them ONE star as that is WAY too many. They HAVE to be trained to only Deny claims. FIRST by saying anything you mail to them "they don't receive" Then if you fax something to them they automatically deny claiming it is missing information - information that is FRONT AND CENTER on what is faxed to them. Then they drag out payment if there is any and what they send in supporting documents makes no sense even to an insurance agent. How about sending a check, out to you for a pharmacy you've never set foot in or claiming they paid something on a date that was BEFORE a claim was even filed. How about a good privacy violation by leaving messages with someone they must have picked out of thin air, with the same last name but NOT related to or associated with your account. No matter what you email them about it turns in to who's on first, whats on second - they HAVE to have predrafted responses the just send out most of the time not even related to your inquiry. Oh and ask them about how to do an extention to file an appear - guess what, it has to be filed WITH the appeal! So WHERE does the extension come in? Anyones guess. It has to be a total scam to delay confuse and lie and evade all they can to avoid doing their jobs with any accuracy at all. . I have NEVER even come close to a worse company EVER. IT simply does could NOT exist.

      Heed my warning! Stay away from this company! I became permanently disabled and this company refuses to pay out what I am owed. You can’t speak to a live person. Instead I have been bounced around by an automated system and the customer services line is disconnected. Now I have to go they my lawyer. I hope a court summons will make them do what they were supposed to do 4 years ago. You read that right, this has been a 4 year struggle! Here is am with severely damaged nerves all over my entire body and missing my right hand and I still have yet to be paid on my claim. Stay away from Aetna!!!!

      Horrible phone customer service not able to answer requests of “Innetwork.”Offers MRI $0 if done IN primary care office ONLY(not possible). Told me to use 2 different outofnetwork facilities. Could not find local facilities. Tried to send me hour away out of network to 4 different places. Spent hours calling with no problem solved.

      I called silver scripts imy Medicare part D and they were trying to charge me co-pays and I got a letter from Social Security I am not supposed to have any prescription related co-pays or premiums I am 100% subsidy and I should not have any prescription related co-pays they’re trying to scam me you’re rude customer service and a lie to me I Sent them a Social Security benefit letter and they won’t honor it

      SCUM. Why have insurance at all if your health insurer literally pays for nothing? And when I say pay for nothing, I literally mean NOTHING. This is by design. File a claim, get denied, appeal, sit on the phone for 12 hours while your transferred all over the place and no one claims to know what your even talking about. Wash, rinse repeat. It's a scam to rip off honest hard working Americans. The CEO literally makes billions every year on the corpses of the men, women and children of this country. This company needs to be held accountable in a court of law for crimes against humanity at this point.

      This insurance company is a complete scam. Customer service reps barely speak English and have no clue who is in network or what is covered on your plan. They are completely useless. I have been with them for a short period and can’t even find proper care because the reps can’t find any of the doctors who absolutely accept Aetna but they just tell me they’re out of network. I’m changing providers soon.
