My children have had an coordination of benefits issue between ****** and Aetna this entire year. ****** has been the primary insurance for many years. ****** states when they call Aetna, that Aetna states they are primary. I have work in medical reimbursement for 25+ years and I have never seen anyone make so many attempts to take care of the coordination of benefits the same as my children have made. I've attempted calling and have been told by Aetna that ****** is primary, so why is ****** stating that Aetna is primary. There are two reasons that I can think of below.
      1. My children are native american and white, since they are not fully white this is an issue. For whatever reason when logging into Aetna's portal they MAKE you confirm your race. This should have nothing to do with my childrens healthcare needs.
      2. My children have thousands of dollars for bills over 2024 and they dont want to pay. A multi million dollar company doesn't want to pay, instead my children who barely make over minimum wage are more likely to pay.
Either way this needs to be addressed with an Aetna employee that works inside the United States.
This situation has caused my children an immense amount of stress and we are close to retaining an attorney.

Fraudulent account, I had never heard of Aetna insurance until I started receiving bills from them. I was able to get the agents name and ID number that falsely made up an account supposedly under my name. Although they did terminate the fraudulent account, they now clam it was voluntary and that I have a balance due with them. customer service claim it’s a common practice with their agents for building false accounts.

Absolute garbage company, waited 8 months for a surgery to fix a disc in my neck just to have them deny it at the last second leaving me in excruciating pain. Symptom of a broken system.

Customer service sucks. Ask a question and get a non answer reply. Ask again with more detail and get a copy pasted non answer reply again. Probably computer generated or literally copy pasted script.

This company has decided to stop my benefits based on a symptom I suffer from. They have lied for 6 years and now consider me not cooperating because they lie and say they cannot contact me. I have the voicemails of my calls made to them I have saved, as I know they lie and are corrupt for the state of ********. How were they able to provide services to me for six years if they claim I was not able to be reached for those years???! This company needs to be investigated as well as an audit of state medical records and agencies!!!! I have much more information to report and share concerning the services and the case workers that change every 30 days! Maybe if they kept the same caseworker, they would not be able to lie so much!!! Corruption at its worst!!

This company sent a bill to both me and my husband for insurance that we do not have. It even includes policy numbers. I am concerned that someone might receive a bill like this and think they already have this insurance, and send money to cover the company's outrageously priced premiums. A senior citizen or unknowing person is likely to be scammed by this mail.

I think they’re unethical and should be scrutinised by insurance authorities

Aetna plays God with your care. They take the recommendations and suggestions of a board certified neurosurgeon and have decided that they know better. I have a second herniation and annular tear and even though I can’t walk or stand or use the restroom without extreme pain and they think I can wait six more weeks to go through physical therapy. PT that could make things worse. Six more weeks that are affecting my quality of life, my job etc. I’m bed ridden most days. I take so much pain meds just to be able to lay down. Rather than the last two weeks in a recliner. They’ve denied X-rays MRIs and prescriptions. Aetna would rather you suffer in pain and mental anguish. They’d be happier to quit paying all claims due to your death than to provide the care you need. It’s a game. I’ve told everyone if anything happens to me. It’s all on Aetna for causing extreme pain and suffering. Why am I paying such high premiums when I can’t get the care I deserve. I wouldn’t recommend Aetna to anyone.

I needed medical equipment ordered by my doctor and was told by the Aetna representative to buy it and I will be reimbursed. I did buy the equipment and now 3 months later every time I call to find out when I will be reimbursed l get told it's still in review. 45 days is what I get told every time.
I am out over 2000 dollars and just get told the same thing, l have filed a complaint with them but it doesn't seem to matter.
It's very aggravating when a company this big and they can't do a better job to make sure that their clients are taken care of when their representatives tell us to go ahead and purchase the equipment we need.
Evidently it's an internal team that does these reviews. I don't understand how it can take 45 days every time to do a review. That just doesn't make any sense and you can't talk to the internal team. You can only talk to the people that you get when you call in.
This wouldn't affect alot people but when you're on disability and hospice and you're trying to just recoup that money because you're negative now because the equipment that you had to have was expensive. I'm just so disappointed in this company!!
