  This company is worthless for elderly Medicare patients using their supplemental insurance.
  They are Bait-n-Switch shysters who use punitive, arbitrary, and capricious business practices.
  My injectable cholesterol medication deductible increased in one month 3 times what I had been paying with no warning.
  I asked for an immediate review and received it! THE MEDICATION IS NOW NO LONGER ON THEIR SCHEDULE for me, apparently as a result of my review query!
  This medication was the end of the line for me as nothing else worked, or had severe side effects coupled with not working!
  This company doesn't give a damn about its elderly customers and the fraudulent company is maximizing profits by dropping Medicare customers' supplemental insurance benefits or increasing the deductibles to unaffordable levels before the coming Depression.
  STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT INSURANCE PROVIDER! EVEN MERCY MEDICAL DROPPED THIS COMPANY THAT PROVIDED INSURANCE FOR ITS EMPLOYEES!

  I had proven medical necessity because of surgery then out of nowhere my transportation got denied. No ride to a follow up appointment . I was lied to and endangered , an attempt to bully someone on top of trying to confuse me. The claims department was calling me trying to see how much I was going to cost them with no concern about causing me harm.
  I will change back to ****** . My Doctor's told me this Insurance has hardly anyone in network.

  No longer covering my diabetes medication because they consider it a "anti-obesity" medication. It should be illegal for insurance companies to classify drugs.

  If I could click zero stars, I would. I have had nothing but battles with Aetna. They have 1. overcharged me, which I knew they were wrong, but I paid anyway. They then refunded the money after they figured out they were wrong. 2. I had to pay a fee to add my son to the plan, it took 2 hours for them to be able to tell me the fee amount. 3. I always talk to someone with a THICK FOREIGN accent every time I call, no American workers here! 4. Their first solution to any problem is to transfer you to the marketplace, who 9/10 says, "I don't know why they transferred you, this is their fault/jurisdiction." 5. They also canceled my coverage and couldn't figure out why and basically told me they didn't know how to fix it. (Myself, Marketplace and Healthcare.gov DIDN'T cancel my coverage). 6. I have had to have several 3 way calls between marketplace and Aetna to resolve issues because the Aetna agent had no idea what they were talking about. Just pay full price, Aetna isn't worth trash.

  Aetna is the most awful insurance I have ever had.... I'm 60 so I have had a few but nothing tops Aetna for worthless

  If I could I would give negative stars. Worst insurance I’ve ever had, they will cancel all the medication that actually helps you, then they will place all your doctors out of network so if they don’t bill them directly you have to pay yourself. I’m definitely changing companies asap!! I’ve had nothing but problems with this place

  if I could give Aetna a below zero rating I would. They have been allowing an individual who I have already on multiple occasions has stolen my identity to use my identity to insure themselves on and off for at least 10 years. I finally after fighting every government agency was able to prove I am, in fact the victim of identity theft. However, even with all the evidence to prove otherwise, Aetna continues to reinsure the people who stole my identity. I have filed multiple fraud complaints with Aetna; only for Aetna to turn around and undermine all the work I have done to reclaim my identity and reinsure the thief AND THEN send me bills for services the thief racked up; most of which are on days, at times and locations I can prove without a doubt I have never been to. I can prove I was not in the city, the state and on at least three occasions, the country on every SINGLE billable instance they are attempting to force me to pay. RUN from this company, I have been fighting them and no one will listen. I am getting my attorney involved to sue. They are ABSOLUTELY complicit in the aiding and abetting of this theft of services from themselves and the state of California as well as purposefully ignoring my legitimate claims of identity theft. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHERE IN THE STATE OF ********** YOU GET AETNA FROM. THEY ARE JUST AS CULPABLE AS THE PERSON USING MY IDENTITY.

  I feel the same way as the previous complaints.
  This is the worst insurance company I have ever used. I have had nothing but problems with my medications by doctor has prescribed. I get nothing but lies from their associates. They don't speak good English and don't understand what the problem is and just say anything. I was told by two different women that my medicine was being shipped and should be at my house in two days. That was a week ago. I'm still waiting.
  When a doctor prescribes a medication. What gives them the right to question it.
  I only got this insurance because *** was not going to work with ******* hospital and my doctor was with *******. I love my doctor and was not going to find a new one. Unfortunately, right after I got this insurance. *** and ******* came to an agreement.
  I can't wait until October. I will be going back to **** I never had any problems with them. EVER.
  Unfortunately I won't be able to use that insurance until the first of the year. I pray the months go fast.
  I HOPE ANYONE LOOKING FOR NEW INSURANCE READ THESE COMPLAINTS BEFORE THEY CHOOSE. I WISH I HAD.
