I would give zero stars to travelers insurance as we have been going through tough times on our home insurance policy. Their inspectors are unprofessional and unethical. They are taking forever to resolve our issue. It’s been months their adjuster is not able to understand the claim. Their claims customer service is unprofessional and are mostly out of office.

This company was supposed to mail a check on 12/18/2022 per confirmed email. It has now been nearly a month and I have received no check and there is nothing in my closed claim that a check was even mailed out. Furthermore, they have yet to pay me for nearly a year of food expenses. This company is frauding their customers. I would not recommend them for any home owners insurance. They have sent me 3 cancellation notices in the middle of my claim while my repairs are ongoing and I still have no kitchen or master bathroom. They are frauding their customers.

In mid November 2022 I was hit by a driver who ran a red light. My car was severely damaged  and my laptop screen was shattered. The insurance claim was filed within hours of the incident. Police report, photos of damage & statements were sent to the agent promptly, & I signed the car over to travelers at the tow yard three days after the accident. A week after the accident, the tow yard sent a certified letter concerning the car. Ten days after the accident, a letter was sent stating the car was impounded and would put up for auction. We had to call the customer service line after numerous failed attempts to reach our agent,. Customer service helped schedule an appraisal and have the car moved, not our agent. An appraisal was allegedly conducted the first week of January, but we haven't received any updates. The appraiser had even called asking where the vehicle was, and we had no idea. We were given a rental car for 30 days, which they refused to extend and had to be returned. It has been over 50 days since the accident, and during this time we have been given little/no updates. The online portal is equally unhelpful, and malfunctions if I try to submit a complaint. I have now missed almost two weeks of work after not having a car for 3 weeks (live in a rural area 45 miles from my workplace- public transportation is not available) and the laptop with the shattered screen has been challenging to use and has stopped working this week, so now I am without a computer. Missing work and not having a functional computer is putting my livelihood and career at risk. The level of stress I have experienced throughout this ordeal has been unreal, this has been an absolute nightmare. Travelers Insurance has not been satisfactory in any way.

Travelers should be investigated for customer deception and/or severe mismanagement.
TLDR: Travelers canceled my policy without my consent and later reinstated my policy without my consent or knowledge. Also told me I had "missing payments" that they could not provide detailed documentation for.
I canceled my year-long home insurance policy early (and hopefully for the last time) after months of back and forth. First, shortly after starting the policy, I received an email about missing payments on my auto-pay bill. Travelers was missing information, but did not inform me, and just marked my bill as unpaid. I called, frustrated, and while on the phone, the rep cancelled my account... without my request. I saw the cancellation email and told her to reinstate the account bc I did not want to cancel. A new policy was started, instead of the original policy being reinstated, (I did not learn this until much later and I did not ask for that) and I was assured everything is good to go. Weeks later, I get another email about missing payments; I call back and am told info is still missing; I send info and am assured everything is fine. This happens multiple times. Fed up, I finally cancel my policy, paid the remainder of my bill, and confirm with the rep that I have paid everything that I owe. The next day, I receive an email saying my policy has been reinstated, without my consent or knowledge, and I still have a missing payment. I call back and the new rep tells me these payments were "pending" and policy was reinstated bc I paid my bill....which the previous rep never mentioned. When I asked for a month-by-month billing/payment history as proof, they were unable to provide that. They could only send document claiming an outstanding balance, with no detailed record of how that number was determined. I paid the bill because it was no longer worth the stress and frustration.

I have had a nightmare situation with Travelers Insurance on our Home Owners Policy. After numerous years without a single claim they have acted in such an unprofessional manner that it feels criminal in the negligence exhibited by x2 of x3 Agents I have dealt with to date.
From releasing PII information and actually spreading rumors to Contractors to create dissent. To actually telling me to SHUT UP and listen to them. Violating my PRIVATE GATED Communities community standards by sneaking in the neighborhood without notification. And then withholding payments, changing rules as they go and using both sides of an argument to win at all cost in paying out the minimum amount as possible. Again criminal in their actions and literally matching the reviews on this site exactly as the others. Travelers should be banned from existence.

Quoted me one price. Did the inspection then tried to charge me $237 more for the policy a month later! So after I paid the whole year upfront, I got a bill a month later saying I owed $237 more. Felt like an old bait and switch!

Purely EVIL. Fake reviews all over the web. If they actually used the funds they pay for all the fake reviews and caned the bumkins in the care representatives & their management especially they probably could get some real reviews. From what I've noticed travelers is just a call center that takes $ giving absolutely no surveillance they advertise daily.

Claim ******** Travelers should not be in business they insured a company that we hired to transport a crane from ** ** ** and the company damaged 3 tires worth 2500 dollars each. When i filed the claim, they took info down and advised to send them all evidence to them. I sent paperwork, contracts singed, Terms and conditions singed, pictures of damages, even recording of witnesses where the driver from the transportation company they insure mentioned that damages were done to the crane tires when loading. After a few days they said that because their insured declined the claim there was nothing they could do even after multiple calls, documents sent they said it did not change anything. They advised we should sue them. Unfortunally we were not aware how many bad ratings this Insurance company had before doing business with their insured it seems they found any little reason not to be responsible for anything.

their driver caused an accident and damages to my car and although they seem to be good about repairs they are not good about rental. they say they cover a rental but not covering the deposit required by car rental company I don't care if the deposit is refundable your driver caused the damages wouldn't need a rental if she hadn't caused damages to my car!! travelers insurance should be covering EVERYTHING inuding the rental deposit. shame on you!!!

Stay far away from this company!!!! I switched my home insurance to Traveler's because they offered me the same coverage I had with my previous insurer. Well, that lasted about a week.
They sent an inspector over (expected that of course) and the result was that I was "missing & had damaged steps"... ???? I just had the outside refinished & everything was to code & beautiful!! After numerous phone calls & e-mails they decided my steps were fine. That lasted 2 days when I get yet another e-mail saying I need to address the steps. Ok again they said a few days later & then the topper was that they raised my coverage from 170K to 550K!!!! What the heck??? Every single time you call customer service you get a different answer. It's ridiculous. I wish I would have looked here on BBB before going through all of this. Again, stay away... far away from this incompetent, blood sucking so called company!!!
