I purchased a home warranty policy with Travelers through my home insurance company, ********* I had an equipment breakdown with my A/C coil leaking, which is an issue that should be covered. The adjuster for Travelers contacted the company that I had repair the coil, and in the conversation the service provider mentioned the word "rust." The Travelers adjuster denied the claim I submitted, saying that rust was not a covered peril. The system is only 4 years old, so I did not think rust could be the cause of the failure. I contacted the service provider and asked about the conversation with the Travelers adjuster. I was told by the service provider that when Travelers called them, the adjuster was told that rust was a result of the leak, not the cause of the leak. The service provider made a 3-way call attempt to talk to the Travelers adjuster and clarify the conversation, but the call went to voice mail. We left a message explaining the miscommunication between the service provider and the traveler's adjuster, and the service adjuster told the Traveler's adjuster that she could speak to the service professional that worked on the system if she wanted to. I then followed up with an email to the traveler's adjuster. She replied that she was in receipt of my email and phone calls and would get back to me. That was on October 18th, 2022. The original claim was submitted on September 29th, 2022. It is now November 4th, 2022, and still no resolution.
The receipts for repair total $2216.11. Subtracting the $500.00 deductible, and the $106.40 extra I paid for a service contract leaves $1609.60 Travelers owes me.

My complaint centers on the lack of responsiveness and poor customer service from two separate Travelers' policies, that of my HOA and the second my personal homeowner's policy. After a pipe burst in my condo and a week of mitigation to clean up the water, remove the hardwood floor and all my baseboards, the adjustor for the HOA policy produced an estimate to repair my unit. It was less than half that of estimates from two well regarded contractors to make the repairs.
Attempting to discuss/negotiate the estimates have been largely unsuccessful. Despite stating that I have never filed an insurance claim in my 20+ years of Travelers/Geico coverage, neither adjuster will take the time to explain the process. I send emails, leave voicemails and even tracked down the supervisors of the two adjustors and still wait.
The typical interaction has me writing an email asking 4-5 questions or highlighting incorrect information in the estimate. After not receiving any response after a week, I start leaving voicemails. A few days later, I receive an email that answers 1-2 of the questions, ending with "if there is anything else I can help with, please contact me".
While both policies are from Travelers, it is apparent that neither adjustor speaks with the other. And, at the same time, a typical reply from either adjustor is, "well, that is an issue for the other policy".
While I repeatedly remind them that I have held a Travelers/Geico policies for 20+ years (my car insurance is with Geico) and have never previously filed a claim, I receive regular references to fraudulent practices, clearly establishing that I will be treated as a schemer.
It seems apparent that a Travelers' strategy is to ignor/deflect/avoid resolution of the claim so the insured party will simply give up and accept the little offered.
Five minutes after I settle my claim, I am switching both car and homeowner's policies.

Buyer Beware! They started me off with a decent rate for auto insurance policy. They quadrupled my rate within the first year after I added a teenage driver that had no tickets or accidents. I called them to cancel and get a refund they kept $1100 for one month. Ripoffs…

Travelers Auto deserves a -0! They are a bunch of ripoffs. They may start you with a low rate but increase it several times during the first year. My rates quadrupled as I added my teenage daughter to the policy. Buyer beware of this shady outfit!

I have a new homeowners policy with Travelers Insurance. I was relaxing in my backyard and I look up and a camera is leaning over my fence. I yell and the guy states he is a subcontractor for Traveler’s Insurance.
I was not notified that this man would be showing up on my property, nor was I told that Travelers would be taking pictures. So appalling and scary that they would send someone out to walk around my property without any notification. I regret using Travelers Insurance.

Like some others, if I could give zero stars I would. We switched to this company after being with another for about 40 years. Our policies were in place and we had no issues with them Our long time agent got us a quote when we needed to add another vehicle to the policy. It seemed like a good quote. Travelers gave us grief about out daughter's car being on our policy because she is over 25. They told us we could get around it by adding her as an owner of the policy, which we did. Now, three months later they are cancelling our policy because the title does not have mine or my husband's name on it. This could have been addressed in July. Instead, they gave us two weeks to figure it all out or get another insurance policy. Don't trust them! They lie to get you to sign and then change the rules. Never again!

I am a person who got injured at work and not only I have to deal either the pain but I also have to deal with the poor customer service and attitude of my agent and the nurse assigned to my case.
First at all they ignore my emails, text or phone calls . Trying to communicate with them is really a hassle. All this has cause delay in my recovery. I wish I can get corporate address of travelers insurances in ******* *** **** so I can get a serious complaint about the person assigned to my case. It is horrible deal with all of these when I am injured

Pay over 1K/mo for multiple drivers on half dozen vehicles. Recently had a vehicle totaled , other drivers fault 100%. Almost been a month with no resolution. Terrible communication from adjuster, to appraiser, to total loss adjuster, to supervisors of supervisors. Bottom line, THEY DON’T CARE! Zero customer care or concern about you, your totaled car or the actual value. All insurance companies are lacking for one reason or another, and I understand it’s a dirty business, but Travelers, in my over 40 years of paying and using insurance is the absolute worse. Hands down, not even close. BUYER BEWARE! LOOK ELSEWHERE and save yourself from the trouble I’VE experienced.

In July 2022, my car stalled in backcountry ******** My wife had to call Travelers roadside assistance, and they told my wife it would be $1,100 to tow my downed vehicle back to ******** On Friday, September 2022, my wife and my cars were involved in a collision with another vehicle while parked outside our house. We had to wait until Monday afternoon to get ahold of the adjuster. Then we were told we'd have to pay out of pocket if we wanted a rental car before we spoke with an adjuster since it was the weekend. Then we had to go back and forth with the rental car and collision repair places. Thus doing the agent's job for them. Plus, the company was still refusing to cover the total cost of the rental car and claiming we needed to cover the additional cost. (anything over $30 a day, despite the rental place only having more expensive cars at the moment). Not the customer's fault or problem; that's for Travelers to sort out in their business contracts with other companies. It wasn't until we sent multiple threatening emails and voicemails over two days that we finally got a rental car and got our damaged vehicles towed to the repair shop. I will have to cover the taxes and fees for the rental car. This is ridiculous given this company's annual revune is thirty-five billion a year. A routine claim turned into a whole ordeal. I'm tired of Travelers trying to nickel and dime my family as customers. I will seek a new insurer once our claims are settled. Please don't do business with Travelers. I've emailed the CEO of Travelers, Alan Schnitzer, about the poor customer service and its fleecing of customers paying their hard-earned cash to this company.

The worst insurance company in existence! I would not recommend to my worst enemy. If you get in an auto accident and get hit by someone with Travelers go straight to the hospital because if you are not hurt, you will be by the time you get reimbursed for your loss. After a year, I have still not gotten payment for my car. They are a pain in the neck so go to the hospital immediately.
They are the reason we need ambulance chasing lawyers.
Maybe it is time for a class action lawsuit against Travelers for all the people they have screwed over the years
