I received a notice stating that my time was incorrect upon leaving a parking garage. I called LAZ per **** recommendation to have them update the time as it was advertised (6 hours) & they only gave me 4 hours. The office didn’t even have the address on file of where I parked so that’s not very reassuring. I have tried to call the regional office but the parking company is trying to send this to collections. They even threatened to tow my vehicle from my home because of the parking ticket. This is so wrong to do, I don’t understand why I’m facing this & can’t get answers from anyone they just demand money or else they’ll ruin my credit & try to take my property.Business Response

On August 11, 2024, I parked in an LAZ Lot at ** ******* ****** in ******* **. I purchased a 2 hour block for $25 via the QR Code link in the parking lot. Prior to the 2 hour block expiration, I sought to extend my time as I was likely to be ~20 minutes late arriving back at my car. However, there is no option to extend your parking time offered from the emailed receipt/pass. I was ~20 minutes late, and assumed that like other parking services, an additional 2 hour time block (or the like) would be charged to my card. However, I received a notice from **** with a $92 bill without any itemization of what this was for several days later. After receiving no information about the charge from the email dispute option (only an offer to reduce the bill to $72), I called the phone number provided on the bill. After ~30 minutes on hold, I spoke to a **** employee who said she couldn't address the issues with the lack of options to extend time, I asked if I could speak to anyone else who could address this issue, and she offered to have someone call me back. I received a call back from an **** supervisor who explained that the rates were fixed at $92 and $72 if someone contests, and that I would have to speak to LAZ for further information or to address my issue with the payment system (or lack thereof). I paid the $72 so as to avoid the penalties of being sent to collection as are state on the bill, but I want a LAZ to refund the entirety of this amount as there is no justification for charging a $92/72 late fee for a 20 minute overstay when their payment system offers no options to extend a parking session. LAZ is clearly operating in bad faith in the current dynamic which seems to be designed to trap customers into paying unjustifiably high penalty fees by not offering a simple method to extend parking sessions for users of the QR Code payment method.Business Response

I went to the LAZ parking office at ********** ********* where I work to get another issue resolved during the process they found a citation/violation from 05/24/24 associated with my license plate number. I never received a citation, no information was left on my car and there’s no reasoning for citation or any documentation or photos associated with why I got the violation. I can’t appeal it because it’s over 10 days old however no signs or information of a citation was left on my car or provided to me and if I didnt go to the office for something else I would have never found out. I’m not paying this charge and would like this dismissed. If not I’m happy to escalate this. I park and work at the hospital and would not like any issues but I’m also not paying for something without any reasoning or proof or even any violation or ticket provided to me. I called the office and the lazy person who answered the phone was of no assistance. License plate number is *******Business Response

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Our Director of Operations for this location, Bryan S****, informed us that he was present when the customer was in the parking office and told where to find the photos online that support this violation. The reason for the violation was that the customer was parked in a designated visitor garage where employees are prohibited from parking. We have attached the photos associated with the violation here.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
I was in the hospital as a patient that day I also didn’t have my badge or keycard because I was not coming into work was instead a patient and could not park in any of the other lots. If I knew about this I would have just removed my key tag. If there was a notice or something left I would have came back to the hospital and spoken to someone but when I returned there was nothing on my car. When I came into the office last week I was handed a paper with a website to follow through on that would take my license plate number no options or photos were on the website except to pay the fee because it was post 10 days. I called the main office and was told no manager was available until 9am and was hung up instead being offered assistance. I have other things that the manager was supposed to do but won’t do because of this fee. He also didn’t speak to me or try to help me and the lady out front wasn’t very helpful and kept saying more she could do and manager had to resolve the rest of the issues but the manger never came out to speak to me. I had to pay for replacement key tag and card because my vehicle was involved in an accident and I don’t have access to my vehicle or the keycard anymore. I was told a police report would get me a refund within 30 days but the police sergeant, who writes the police report was out of the office and emailed me the police report on September 5, 30 days would have been August 30 (30 business days would have been ~September 8). When I came to speak to someone in regards to this, they told me that should be fine and it should be handled by the manager. When I came back in the morning to discuss this, I was told I would have to speak to the manager, but the manager stayed in the back and did not come out in front to assist me with this issue. I am happy to provide the police report, the police department is also happy to speak to the manager in regards to the Sergeant being out of the office, which caused a delay in police report being sent out, the **** office is attached to a LAZ office as well and they were happy to work with the team, however I have not been able to speak to anyone in regards to this to get this resolved. Your response says photos attached here which again I can’t see with this compliant. I’m not denying parking in that garage but I came in as a patient on said day and not an employee.
Sincerely,

Employees are told,
by ******** *** that when they are at the hospital for personal reasons; they
are to notify the Parking Office located near the blood lab. We understand
the customers frustration, but the enforcement officers do not know this information
unless they provide the information. We have attached the permit parking brochure which designates
the rules and regulations for parking. Under the section: Use of Visitor

I recently went to a restaurant in ******** *******, *******. I valet my car with laz parking. I left my car with valet Nothing was wrong with my car. when I came back to retrieve my car the valet brought my car to me on a flat tire driving on the rim of my car. I currently own a ******* and the rims are very expensive. I asked for the manager he proceeded to put air in my tire and told me to go about my day because He Could do nothing for me. The issue wasn’t the flat tire. The issue was the fact that the valet drove my car with warning on the dashboard when starting the car that it was a flat tire and he proceeded to drive on it anyways up the ramp and on gravel. I asked could they tow my car they told me no, they would not do anything for me. They told me that I ran over nail and that it was my problem and not theirs. The manager didn’t offer me a claim form until three hours later. The manager was nasty and very dismissive.Business Response

Parking permit renewed for May 2024 - April 2025 fir ***** Parking Lot - ******** in ***** **
Permit is to park in a lot where only permitted vehicles are allowed to park.
I have been unable to use the service I have paid for because of the business' negligence in responding to complaints regarding illegally parked vehicles. There have been up to 7 vehicles with no permit parked here; many out of state plates, There is a car with no permit that has been parked here for over 5 months and another that parks there daily with no permit. There is a stolen vehicle dumped here, with broken windows and the ignition column clearly broken. No one is enforcing the permits and therefore the problem is getting worse. If indeed they cannot enforce the permit, they should not sell one and I should be refunded for the time i am unable to access the service due to the business' negligence. There is no one answering the phone at any office; not even corporate and no one responds to any emails.
The after-hours people who should help get cars towed don't call the tow company and have only answered once.
This company should be refunding all of its permit holders or finding a way to remove vehicles and enforce its own permits; otherwise their sold services hold no value at all and are a scam.Business Response

On 04/16/2024 around noon time, we visited ***** medical for cancer treatment. When we left, we noticed that another vehicle scuffed the front right side of our 2024 ***** ***** ****. The following day, Melvin, the valet manager said the next time we visit, we would file a claim and get it taken care of. Months went by with him dodging my phone calls and text messages. Turns out, his manager Tyler is the one who has been prompting him to avoid my calls and messages to hopefully avoid the problem and prolong it to the point where we forget about the damage done. Eventually, Melvin’s manager, Tyler, contacts us after he realizes that the problem is not going away. He comes off very rude and uninterested in helping us. At first, he tried saying that the damage is wear and tear and not done by another vehicle. Once I point out the scuff marks and the fact that I work in the auto industry, he realizes that he is wrong. He still insists that he will recommend to the insurance company to not pay out the claim. Why would he do that without investigating first? He says he will review the camera footage and get back to me when I point out that he is being unreasonable. Melvin said he would do this months ago, but neither of them reviewed the camera footage. Had the camera footage been reviewed, there would be indisputable proof that the damage was done while parking there. The insurance claim was filed by Tyler for in a fraudulent way, and the insurance company sent a letter saying “the employees at the location where you parked have been contacted and are unaware of any automobile accidents during the time that your vehicle was parked with us”. This is a complete lie, and an understandable lie because I’m sure Tyler does not want to pay out the claim and also the employees do not want to own up to their mistake/accident. I am upset about the procedure LAZ parking took to make sure my claim gets denied. The bill for the incident was $420.00. I expect reimbursement.Initial Complaint

On May 24, 2024 I parked in the LAZ parking lot in ****** ***** **. In order to pay for parking there is a sign that gives you a number to text and you enter the number provided on the sign. From there I received a text that allowed me to set how much time I wanted and allowed me to pay. On this day I paid for a half a day at a rate of 21.00. I used ***** *** that is attached to my ****. I ended up only parking for a little over an hour. About a week or so later I received a ticket from LAZ with a photo of my car stating I did not pay for parking and owed LAZ parking $92.00 for the ticket. I found my ***** *** statement and my **** statement and disputed the ticket using the email and link provided in the letter sent by LAZ, providing them documentation of payment with the date and LAZ Parking listed as the company payment was issued to. They responded to my dispute by stating that they needed a receipt that showed my license plate number along with the date, location and time. LAZ did not provide any of this to me when I paid. In the meantime I have received a payment from a lawyer in ******** stating that the ticket has gone into collections. First, I am in the process of a dispute and second, the payment was due at the end of June and it now July 19th. That is not even 30 days late. In addition, my sister parked in this lot on the same day, paid and also got the same ticket.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. After further investigation, we have determined that the reason this ticket was issued was that the customer paid for one location but was parked in a different lot. Due to the confusion, we will be giving a one-time courtesy dismissal. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I met a friend at the movies. We parked June 1st at the **** ******** in ****** *****, **. We went inside to get our parking from the LAZParking parking lot to have out parking validated. The sign said parking is validated inside. We went inside and asked for assistance in getting parking validated. The employee at Ipic could not get the app on our phones to work to enter the code. He wrote our names and license plate numbers down on a list and said it would go into the company and we wouldn't have to pay anything to park. We both received a ticket for $77 each. It had an appeal email address. I uploaded my movie tickets to prove that I had parked there and went to the movies. I explained what happened in great detail. I offered to pay the $5 **** ******** told us it would cost once the parking was validated. I asked they reduce my bill to $5.00. They replied back as if they hadn't even read my appeal and attachments and told me it was denied and I owed $77 and if I paid it within 14 days, it would be reduced to $57. I only owe $5 because I went to the movies and parking was only supposed to be $5.00 It isn't my fault the employee at iPic couldn't help me with the app. He couldn't figure it out either. I want this ticket reduced to $5 as was the agreement with **** ********, the customers, and LAZ Parking.Business Response

I paid $50 for a valet service with LAZ Parking for 6/13/24 and did not receive the valet service I paid for – at the end of the night the valet attendant handed me my keys and told me to retrieve my own vehicle. Then, I had to pay an additional $20 to get out of the parking garage because the valet attendant did not give me a confirmation code I needed to bypass having to pay to leave. I have requested a refund in the amount of $70 from LAZ Parking 5 times in the past 8 days and have not heard back from anyone at their company nor can I get anyone on the phone. All of my attempts to resolve this matter are being ignored and I simply want a refund for services that I paid for and were not provided to me. This is my last resort, I don't know what else to do or who else to reach out to for resolution on this.Business Response
