      Would give minus 10. Purchased Botanitcal Small Leisure Shopper bag last year, within the year warranty now. Bag arrived, beautiful outside horrible smell. Called customer service, they told me air bag out, was stuffing, do in front of air conditioner vent. Did exactly as I was told, after several weeks still smelled. Called back, told won't take it back, see if smell goes away. Well it didn't. Call again 4/4/24 after got another botanical told manager, Stephanie, situation, said they should of taken it back then, they told me I had to air it out, she informed me my problem out of time, nothing I can be done, I'm stuck with smelly bag even though they gave me all the instructions. Won't take new one bag unless I pay for shipping! What a joke! I have more than 10 bags and this is how they treat customers. Bag has never been used! Could make you vomit if it's closed and I suffer from severe Migraines daily and smells will increase them! She could not of cared less! Some customer service! If when I called originally I could of returned it, but they would not do that. Why is this my fault. Seems they need train their customer service people how take returns, not make customer fix their mistakes!

      While the bags are good quality, the lack of respect for merchandise and customers is appalling. The training for managers is quickly done. The lack of employee motivation, moral, and promotions is non-existent. Management will go against its own policy and allow defective merchandise to return to store. Customers are either ignored or all right not informed on the product they are purchasing. Training in handling luxury goods is also non-existent. Product will be damaged. Biased ideals are prevalent in some stores. Acts against employees based on race or ethnic background has been seen, as well sexism against male employees. Overall, many stores have a low customer base and have a high turn over rate when it comes to employees.

      I am lucky to have several D&B bags. I am a true fan of their bags - great quality when you get the product you ordered and it is not defective. Lately they are misrepresenting the actual size of their bags on their website. They are reported to be much larger than they actually are. Even when calling customer service in advance about the actual size, they reported a different size, then what actually ultimately arrived. This has happened to me twice and they never fix the website despite numerous negative reviews regarding the mistaken information. My biggest current issue is their EXCHANGE policy - they have none. I bought a florentine saddle bag on sale - in my opinion it is damaged and i told them i wanted to do an even exchange They don’t offer that. They said I had to return the bag; be charged $10 shipping and once they review the bag if they feel it is defective they will reimburse the $10. This has happened to me before so i was fine with this. THEN I asked if I could lock in the same price that I bought the bag for (kinda what happens when you do an even exchange) and they said no. They would charge whatever the current price is. So, i buy a bag, they ship a defective one, I initially have to be charged for return shipping pending their review, then I have to rebuy it at a higher price - all because they shipped a defective bag from the beginning. Customer Service is polite but their policies are anything but customer friendly.

      I order the satchel white purse twice. The purse color was bone. i ordered it twice with the same issue. apparently they do not have a white sachel purse however it is labeled as such.

      I've owned multiple dooney handbags and even other top brand handbags and nothing compares to the quality of dooney. I own over 10 handbags that are dooney and bourke and i won't go to anyone else!

      This is my 3rd bag from Dooney & Bourke, and they never disappoint! The quality of the leather is amazing, better than any other purse brand!

      Dooney doesn't deserve 1 star. They have the absolute worst customer service. I ordered a purse on 12/10/23, and their system changed the color from Ivy to Black. I tried to get them to cancel or exchange the purse and they would not. They only offer to return it for your money back and pay full price for the correct color. I immediately notified them via cha on 12/10/23, after placing the order and seeing the color was changed. I also called the 12/11/23 to get it changed or canceled. They told me you cannot cancel orders once placed and they cannot change it. Then they proceeded to take 2 weeks longer to send me my item so I could not return and get it at the lower price. I have been a Dooney and Bourke customer since I was a child. I will never do business with this company again. They do not care about customer service or customer satisfaction. Do NOT shop with Dooney.com or their Dooney App! You will be completely disappointed. I had way more respect with Peter Dooney, but not anymore!

      Do not buy anything from them. They are not honest nor do the care about their customers. I ordered a purse from them on 11/13/23, but after reconsidering I decided to cancel the order later that day on 11/13/23. I called their customer service and canceled with their representative. The representative assured me that he canceled the order and my credit card was not charged. I received an email to confirming my order was canceled. On 11/18/23, I received the purse but I refused it and returned it back to them but they charged my credit card. I called the again to ask why they sent me the purse and charged my credit card. I was told that the representative didn't cancel the order and would need to wait 10 days before they refund my credit card. I am so disappointed and I will never buy another purse or anything from them.

      Do not buy from these people. They do not stand behind their products. I bought a bag and could not use the handles because the leather zipper neck sticks up and will not let your hand grip the handles. Online I was told to wait the leather would soften over time. I have waited about 8 weeks nothing has changed and when I called to arrange the return, I was told I could not return it because it was over 30 days. They must only want the one-time sale. Also explains why they are not accredited with the BBB.

      I have purchased a Florentine, small Brenna bag in natural for a great price on a back to school special and the bag came with scratches all over the front. I called customer service to find out that I could only return the bag and they wouldn’t exchange it for me (so I can’t get the same deal I had). It is not my problem that you sent me a defective bag. This bag was obviously someone else’s return. absolutely ridiculous. This is probably my 10th Dooney and Bourke bag. I love them. But if this does not get rectified, it will be my last Dooney bag . I hope I hear back from this company because I had no luck with customer service.
