I rarely comment on bad business practices but feel compelled to do so here. I did not sign up for this service and only now discovered the recurring charges and cancelled a subscription I never wanted. Based on the other reviews and complaints and the company's responses, it appears this is yet another 'business' preying on customers clicking through an online purchase and accidentally agreeing to this 'service.' While I understand that, technically, this business practice may not be illegal, it is certainly underhanded, immoral, and should be stopped. I, for one, will avoid any retailers affiliating with this company and others like it who take advantage of the busy lives of customers not noticing these small holes inadvertently draining their bank accounts. FRAUDULENT: THERE SHOULD BE AN OPTION FOR ZERO STARS! I HAVE BEEN CHARGED $359 DOLLARS ON MY BANK ACCOUNT. A RECURRENT CHARGE STARTED IN 2022 WHEN I SIGNED UP FOR HOOKED ON PHONICS. THE ACCOUNT IS NOW CLOSED BUT FREESHIPPING STATED THAT I ANSWERED QUESTIONS ON A POP UP THAT OCCURRED AT THE SAME TIME THAT I SIGNED UP FOR HOOKED ON PHONICS FOR MY GRANDDAUGHTER. SINCE THEN CHARGES OF $19 HAVE BEEN APPEARING ON MY CHECKING ACCOUNT MONTHLY. I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A DISCOUNT ON ANY PURCHASES AND THE COMPANY WAS VERY RUDE THIS MORNING AND GAVE NO EXPLANATION AS TO (1) WHY THIS RECURRING CHARGE WAS DONE AND (2) WHY I NEVER GOT A DISCOUNT OR CASH REBATE ON ANY PURCHASES. Scammers, They started charging my debit card $19 a month under their **************** moniker since November 2023. I had to dispute the charges with my bank which forced them to cancel my debit card and get a new one. I keep track of all my subscriptions and under no circumstances did I receive notification via email/text/ or snail mail that I had signed up for this so-called subscription service. Apparently, the bank itself is aware of this fraudulent company as she indicated that their charges are the most commonly reported to their fraud department. I really hope these guys get shut down permanently.Clarus Commerce, LLC

This so-called company should be forced to dissolve. My experience was the same as all the others. Neither my wife nor I can I ever recall signing up for anything and definitely do not remember allowing any recurring charges! I honestly don't believe that this scam company ever informs you of recurring charges, and if they do they hide it well! I was able to search my email back to 2017, and saw no emails from them. (This is probably unrelated, but the real kicker is my wife calls our credit card company every few weeks to get the charges, and swears they never mentioned **************** ever; the only reason I became aware of the charges was looking at the online statement.) But I'll certainly look online Next month, and this account has BETTER be cancelled. I'm considering lodging a complaint with the attorney general in any event. Something has to be wrong here, look at all the other complaints here as well as those on other websites, we can't all be blind to the fine print!Clarus Commerce, LLC

This comment is for Clarus Commerce, who has a 'free shipping' offer if you order from ***** online. They did refund all the money they charged me. I appreciate that, but had I not left the negative review that I did here on the better business bureau, they would not have refunded more than the few months that they already did when I called them to complain. My complaint remains. It is that they are deceptive. You don't even know you are signing up with them. You don't realize that they are going to charge your card every month, regardless if you are using their services or not. Perhaps they did warn me, but I always look for catches like the recurring charges, and this is the first time I've been caught. And again, many other reviews have said the same: Recurring charges they didn't know about and they weren't even aware they were signing up.Review fromJeremy W

I completed my order my elderly pet's medications on ***** and was prompted by FreeShipping.com to receive a $10 rebate on my order. Why wouldn't I seize the opportunity? I since was charged $2.00, then $19.00 from FreeShipping.com for absolutely nothing! I don't want to be a member to a company who doesn't even give me my rebate! Why would I pay double for a rebate? Fraud! Crooks! Unfathomable. I signed up with **** *** **** ******* attached itself without my knowledge. I just noticed $19.00 debited from my **** and it has been since I signed up with **** 6 month ago. I contacted **** ******* and they said they were only authorized to refund 1/2 of my funds $76.00. I want all of my money. How can a business attach their shopping service unbeknowst to the customer of another business? First, we never bill an account without authorization. When you signed up, the terms of the offer were displayed, and you are required to accept them in order for registration to be complete and your membership active. These terms are displayed in the enrollment process on the second page of the form, they are displayed on the new member welcome page, and send a third time in the welcome email. We also ask a security question and you must provide a password along with all other billing info to ensure that you are aware of the program you are registering for. On 12/16/2023 I posted a report. On 12/19/23 I was told I would be hearing from customer service team (not sure what they can do) I never heard from them. Not sure what they can do as I tried that avenue "5" times. All customer service team work remotely . I was told, they can only "see so much" ... that I need to talk to a supervisor . Like that will ever happen ! It's now going into 7 MONTHS ! I am STILL waiting for my 07/01/23 check to be re-issued I will be canceling my membership If I don't hear from someone.Clarus Commerce, LLC
