Avoid this company at all costs!!!! I would give this company negative stars if I could. I called them up to get a problem resolved about them billing me for electricity at my old apartment after I had already left my apartment earlier that month. My contract expired the day my lease was up at my apartment so I didn’t think I needed to do anything after that. I did not contact them to renew but they just assume you want to keep using them after your contract expires so they apparently just continued to give electricity to an empty apartment. The customer service people were terrible and kept telling me the same thing saying since I didn’t call to cancel they continued to charge me after I kept asking why they would do that after my contract expired and I didn’t renew. They could never give me a reasonable answer and pretty much told me they couldn’t help me out. After that I responded to an email I got of my whole recording of the phone call I just had with them and I got a phone call 2 hours later from another customer service rep of Think Energy. Long story short I thought she was calling me to make this right and get this $68.90 electric bill to disappear but instead she called me a liar by saying “How do we know that you still don’t live there?” After I told her I moved out when my contract expired just like I told the last people I had talked to at her company. I hung up on her after that. If I still lived there I surely wouldn’t have wasted my time to call and complain about such a low electric bill during the summer for the month of September. My bill has been $90+ all summer and I paid my bill in advance of the due date all 12 months of my contract. Their customer service team also threatened me saying if I don’t pay the $68.90 bill they will report it to collections after 2 months instead of doing away with it and trying to keep a loyal customer.

We are sorry to hear about your frustrations. We looked into your account, and you were issued a renewal notification stating that your contract will expire soon. The expiration notice also indicated that you must take action, or the contract will expire, and you will continue with service on a variable plan. There is no way for Think to know when a customer's lease will be ending without being notified by the customer, and the customer requesting to terminate service. The final bill amount is the amount that is due and because you failed to contact us and let us know that you were moving out you are ultimately responsible for the usage.
Please contact customer care if you would like to discuss the matter further.

Think Energy is an utterly abysmal provider that over charges for energy and hides behind the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. 10 minutes on hold after one option in their automated call menu just trying to wait for the ability to select my state. I hope you go out of business because you would deserve it.

We are so sorry to hear about your experience.
Think Energy has gone through quite a few changes in the recent months. One of the major changes is that we are under the new ownership of Energywell. Since being under new ownership, we have more than doubled the number of customer care representatives, increasing our emphasis on empathy across our Help Center communications and in our Support team training, and have created a more refreshed, straightforward customer portal.

I am so happy to have switched to Think Energy! Not only are my rates low, I can get credit towards my bill for referring others. It’s a win win.

It was easy switching over to becoming a customer. I get a discount for referring customers. I am working on getting free energy with more customer referrals. They don’t have a variable rate. If I don’t re-sign up, I go right back to the incumbent. I have a good rate for three years, which is good because I know Energy is not going to get cheaper. It’s all clean energy. They have saved over 1 million trees.

Amazing!!!!!!!! These savings are incredibly helpful with all the other increases I don’t have any other options for… ie: food, gasoline and everything else. The saving definitely offset the increase in my regular shopping each month which is a blessing! Definitely AWESOME we are grateful ????

To have a single digit energy charge for 36 months fixed is amazing. So many companies out there, I finally found my home
