1 starCancelled when I moved, asked them to cancel on my last day of the cycle, I said, "I get billed on the 9th, not sure if the 8th is my last." She didn't say anything about it being the 24th, which was 2 days after my call, and put in a disconnect order for the 8th. They billed me for the rest of the month whilst my roommate got her own, so, Spectrum got 2 months $ for 1 place, my roommate could have waited until after the actual cutoff date. I called twice after that requesting a refund, both times they told me it would be handled, nothing. Start new service 2 months later at new place, setup automatic payments, until I lost my card. I tried to change my payment method on the app, but it wouldn't let me, so I just paid a week early, clicking on "Make payment now" button, and would handle changing the payment method later. They charged me $20 because the automatic payment, for the bill I already paid a week earlier, didn't go through. Called, they said they understood and that the credit would go to my next bill. NOPE! Didn't want to deal with calling them and listen to them lie to me again, taking forever to navigate through, I'm sure, a poorly coded and confusing application.
Call in last week to have my service shut off on the 31st, told them I know my bill is on the 24th, but I don't mind paying, I just want to shut it off on the 31st because I'm moving. Of course I have to go through the exhausting banter of why I'm moving and why not take Spectrum with me, blah blah, but, it was short because there is already fiber at the place I'm moving. Last nite the middle of closing out work, because I WFH, my connection is cut!! Spent an hour and a half speaking with 3 different people to get it turned back on and explaining all that I have gone through over the past 2 years. Probably won't see that $20 because it's been over a year, she says. Then the 1 who turned back on my service says "hope they don't send you another device." 1 starThey are stealing peoples money! Canceled on the first day of a new billing cycle and was not told that I would still have to pay for the whole month. Overpriced and incredibly rude. I will never use their services again. They also tried to say that I never returned equipment when I in fact did.Review fromKyle W

1 starStarted out not wanting it, second guy came back I gave in decided to get it. Took a while to get it all new lines they ran for my neighborhood which was fine. They would text me the day before they tried to set it up which was busy the next day tried cancel set up but they showed up anyways had to reschedule finally got a day down for them to install worked fine had service from a different provider kept them just in case. But the service lasted a week. Then it had problems. No signal at all. Of course happens on a weekend called them several times took hour each time to talk to someone tried different things had to call back in well after 3 or 4 time they said they would send a tech out on Monday. My previous provider I've had for 7 years no problem at all. Canceled the appointment and thought I canceled the service told them too but they say they don't have record of it anymore. Didn't pay the bill. They called and called and hounded me to pay bill I told them to cancel service. Three months later they are still charging me for a monthly service and now threatening me to take me to collections. Called again today to resolve gentleman says I've never called to cancel doesn't show in his system. Ask me what I want him to do. I told him obviously no one does there job so why should I ask him to do anything if he isn't going to do it? I can talk to my walls at the house the same way I do to them and get them same result. 1 starAbsolutely horrible business practices. Canceled our service because we were moving out of state. They charged us three more times. They say they may refund us for one of those. So they kept charging our card for services we were not receiving and won't remedy their mistake. Here is to hoping they don't try to charge me any more!

1 starThe internet plans are horrendous. Even with an ethernet cable my computer is constantly being disconnected. I have had dropped video calls for work, connection issues, especially late at night. It almost feels like I am being throttled as I pay $70 for the internet ultra which is supposed to include 500mbps of download speed and I currently range 100-300 with 300 being the absolute cap which is an entire plan below what I currently pay. Downtimes are often and long. Customer service is awful. Unless this is the only big provider in your area like it is mine, I would 100% avoid the nightmare.Review frommark j.

1 starThis is the worst company ever they should be shut down there crooked they lie about services and prices i have been hung up on many times by this company they ripped me off on a apple tv that the service never worked on and keep telling me theres nothing they can do about it this company i will never reccomend to no one the unprofessionalism in this company is a joke and there a complete ripoffReview fromRickey C.

1 starSpectrum has the worst customer services ever. They are charging us for 2 phones they say have not been activated yet. We have been trying to get this taken care of since April 2022, almost 6 months. I have called in every month and they say this has been taken care of and it has not been taken care of. We have 3 phones and they are charging us for 5 phones. They are a scam and do not take care of there customers, we have been customers for a while. They transfer me to the fraud, customer service, complaint department no one will help with this matter. All we are asking is to be reimbursed and not be charged for the 2 phones that they say has not been activated yet. I have been receiving text, calls emails from spectrum saying this has been taken care of and stating there is a issue with us being charged for months on phones, and they are trying to turn it around you the customer and say it is our fault and it is not. It is there fault for not not taking care of the customer. Do not get your phone services with them they are so unprofessional and charge you for services you do not even have. 1 starThis company is grotesque. They are monopolizing and think they are winning while scamming their customers, but they will go bankrupt. I deal with annoying companies all day, everyday…. Spectrum has always taken the cake. I’ve cancelled several accounts and went to other providers and will continue to do so until I never have to deal with them again. We have many businesses and offices that once used spectrum. Ta ta, spectrum. Absolute criminals robbing customers with petty annoyances like “free cell phones” and sneaky services never requested. It adds up and I see you. 4 accounts canceled and 2 to go. Opening new businesses every year and will never use spectrum again.Review fromMaria S.

1 starI have been going through issue after issue with Spectrum every since I decided not to purchase a phone that I ordered through Spectrum mobil online in June i sent it back unopened on the same day I received it 6/17. They received it 6/23. Spectrum received the phone in six days of the 10 days that was required. I got a email saying I don't get my $91 refund because I didn't return the phone on time and was told the phone will be sent back to me. I refused it again when ***** tried to deliver it. Spectrum received it on 7/1 and again sent me an email stating I didn't send it back in time and was not getting my refund. It took over a month of fighting with Spectrum to get my refund back. From then on it has been issue after issue. The most recent issue is I paid my mobile phone off early and was given the wrong unlock code. My service was moved to a new provider but because the Spectrum rep gave me the wrong unlock code my phone can't work with the new provider. I have been trying for weeks to get my unlock code from Spectrum with no success. A manager supposed to had sent the request to the department tier 3 that handles generating the unlock code on 8/5. I was told by a lead that the manager did not send out the request until 8/15. I paid on time every month. My phone cost over $1000. Every time I call for a update I am told that the tier 3 department are still working on it. It should only take 24 hours. Then I was told by someone different it takes 3-5 days. Someone else said 14 days. Everyday I call for updates. I am being told that they can only send emails to the tier 3 department who never responds to the email. So all that they can tell me is it's still pending. My phone service has been suspended in the middle of making a food delivery to a customer. I went 4 days without service once while waiting on Spectrum to correct this issue. I am fed-up to the moon with dealing with Spectrum. I am going to look into suing Spectrum for breach of contract.
