Spectrum lies when they tell you that you don't have a contract. They also slam you if you call in for support. Slam meaning I called in to have a service removed and lower my bill and instead my next bill in the past three were higher because the rep changed my service to something I did not even know what they did.
Regarding the contract, if you cancel your service before the next bill is due. They will not prorate. That is effectively a contract for one month. They are charging me $269 for nearly the full month.
I decided to cancel TV service because they wouldn't resolve the first issue above regarding being slammed which I will be reporting to the FCC if I don't hear from them this week with a resolution.
With two thirds of the month left in the billing cycle, I decided to bring my cable box in and cancel TV service. That left me with internet, phone, and one cell phone. That was not good enough for them and they are charging me for the entire month for TV service which I'm not getting. I could not even access the service via the charter app which does not require a cable box. Simply because I brought a physical box in I'm being charged. They would not let me leave the box there and keep the service active. I wasn't going to waste my time going back into there.
So again you are being lied to when they tell you you don't have a contract.

So I was eligible for an upgrade and I chose a Google pixel 6. 12 hours after I got it I hated it and returned it. These ass holes charged me $300 claiming the phone was damaged. So I got an S22 since I couldn't get my money back. I dropped it once and the screen scratched. So I can't replace it or return it because the idiots at the store didn't add the insurance back to my plan. Then the shut my phone off 3 days prior to my wedding and charged me for a month I didn't even use. I took my old S9+ that I've had for 5 years and went to AT&T. Save yourself money and headache. Don't sign a contract with these crooks.

There service is trash. They expect almost 300 a month for services that only work about a week out the month. They also expect you to be the customer and technician. They are trash. They unreliable and ridiculous. They take advantage of the fact most areas don't accept dish and other cable companies which leaves you stuck with their low budget service

Cancelled on the 4th of this month, yet still got a bill on the 15th for the next month. Wasted at least an hour on the phone waiting for their idiots to hit the CANCEL button.
Tried to keep me as a customer and offered much lower rates than ever before. This is predatory, they are a monopoly and clearly they do not represent reasonable people or entities.
      They are stealing from everyone.
Had time to write this while attempting to cancel for the second time.
      Bunch of ***** doorknobs.

I called to cancel my services and the retention rep, Jeffery !N4, was the must disrespectful rep I’ve ever spoken with. I explained I didn’t want anything but to cancel. He went on and on and when I asked to speak with a manager he said he was putting me in a que and it would take about 15mins. 50mins into the call and still no manager. He continues to tell me he can go ahead and cancel for me but at this point im furious and want to report him. Then he comes back and says a manager will call me back. I stated, again after an hour at this point, that I wanted to speak with a manger now. Still wasn’t able to speak with a manger

Spectrum has stopped prorating bills whenever you discontinue service. This means that not only are you billed for services you never received, but you have to be continually harassed to not cancel your service until you pay the amount due. The customer service reps are downright hateful and take pride in stealing your money. If I could give negative stars I would. I am so glad that I got the privelege to part ways with Charter/Spectrum whenever my electricity provider announced our neighborhood had Fiberoptic services. My Charter internet service never worked when I had it, and it's a relief to finally have internet I can actually rely on. With charter there were days that I had to go work at a friend's house (I work remotely and have to have a secure connection) because my internet was not functioning. Charter never prorated days that my internet did not work, and they never seemed to be interested in fixing the issue. Good riddance.

I canceled service bc I moved outside of their service area. I called to cancel a couple days before the next billing cycle and they still charged my account the next month. They would not refund me back for the full month they charged me for that I did not receive service on. Complete rip off!!!

I was ready to change tv, internet and. Wi-Fi service and chose Spectrum. A technician named Mariah arrived and removed 2 boxes and the cords that went with them. She forgot to take a coil of cable behind. Last week I spoke with a woman named Lydia to ask some questions. She tried to hard sell me on changing my cell phone services and I decided to do so. I got my new SIM card and switched out the previous one. When I tried to call my son, instead of connecting me immediately Verizon was on the line. Not allowing my call to go through without buying $15 3 hour access service. I went online to Spectrum to find a way to speak with a human. All I got was a CHAT! I am fed up with Spectrum. They leave out important details in selling a person to buy stupid mobile phone service! I feel cheated out of my limited financial funds and would love to sue them for their horrible business dealings!

Would give zero stars if it was an option. I received my July bill in the mail and as always my bill, along with my check, are in the mail the next day. A week or so later I get a text message from spectrum stating that my payment could not be processed. I immediately called spectrum customer service to see what the problem with my payment was. I was informed by a customer service representative that my bank had stopped payment on the check and she could not give me a reason for this and told me I needed to contact my bank for the reason. In the meantime I was issued a late fee for the delinquent payment but the customer service representative assured me that the late fee would be waived and a double bill would be issued in August. I hung up with her and called my bank to see why they stopped payment on my check. My bank informed me that spectrum incorrectly entered my account number when converting my check to an electronic payment. Plus they never even put my name anywhere on the transaction. This leaving my bank no option but to stop payment on my check. My bank sent me a copy of the transaction and you can clearly see where spectrum caused all of this. Then when I get my double bill in August, it’s about $ 5.00 more than it should’ve been. I wrote the check anyway and mailed it the next day. A day later I start getting text messages and phone calls from spectrum demanding I immediately pay my delinquent double bill in order to avoid service interruption. All this because someone in their billing department screwed up because of their inability to pay attention to detail. Not to mention I only have 1 television, 1 dvr and 1 remote that costs me over $100 a month. So I think I know what my next steps will be. I can think of many other things to spend my hard earned money on. I’m tired of the run around and outrageous prices spectrum charges. I can see why people cut the cord.
