First, read the comment about 'billing cycles' and feeling scammed. Because you are being scammed. Spectrum not only provides shoddy service (likely because they're over capacity and shunt the black hole of 'non-service' around, claiming numerous possibilities for why your service sucks.)
Spectrum claims they're doing us a favor by allowing us to pick any pay date irrespective of the billing cycle.... "...because some people prefer that." Okay, fine. I don't prefer it that way and was miffed at finding out (today) I even had the option.
Payment date: 7th of each month. Billing Cycle? 19th thru 18th. How dumb is that? It ensures we will ALWAYS lose money with Spectrum when cancelling as they "don't prorate." And if their other services are anything like Simple Mobile, you'll lose money upgrading/downgrading, too.
Despite what the first and second representative I contacted claim, that I am paid through August 18th, I just got charged today and am forced to forfeit the entire amount because I am actually paying in arrears (according to Billing). Customer Service isn't aware of this? ...?
Considering the lengths they go to convince you NOT TO CANCEL (You all know what I'm referring to) I am convinced I was lied to by at least the first Representative as part of that pernicious and unwanted pressure to remain in-service to a corrupt and incapable service provider.
And if I wasn't 'mislead' by today's representative who I called to CANCEL my service (who, like the first representative, stated I was paid up through August 18th) I wouldn't be scammed out of a full payment and even more frustrated than I was when the service was always dropping completely, or marginally able to accommodate 1080p video and a PITA to continually contact them for resets and suggestions for modem-switches.
NO THANKS! The many years I've been a customer are over; and, after Billing basically gaslit me on their absurd billing-cycle/non-billing-cycle behavior, I'm glad to be rid of them.

20 calls and internet still not working. Unbelievable! I've had two technicians to the house, made a trip and exchanged equipment myself, spoke with four supervisors, and my Internet is still not working. When I called they said they'd expedite me because I'm a healthcare professional doing teletherapy and webinars. I had a webinar the next day and they said someone would call me in the morning, I did not receive a call the entire day and was unable to do an adequate job on my webinar. The following morning I called and they said dispatch wasn't open yet but someone would call me between eight and 10. Nobody called. At 10:30 AM I called a supervisor who said he would escalate it to a medical emergency. After 3 PM they called and told me that wouldn't be able to fit me in. They did come the next morning and made some changes, but I still didn't have Internet. A technician on the phone noted that there was something wrong with my router. So I picked up the router at the store and the man there told me that I wasn't supposed to come in to exchange equipment. I told him that Spectrum specifically told me to come to that store. He said I don't care what they told you what supposed exchange equipment here. Ultimately he exchanged it... And by the way I had a 2 PM appointment but wanted for over 20 minutes. I had another appointment scheduled from noon to one. 25 appointment I got a know that my appointment was from Fairfax which I could not make. I called and spoke with the supervisor and he said that he would email the technicians to change my appointment back to the original time. I said that's not good enough I don't trust that they will call me because I have been promised to call several times in the past and it didn't happen. He said he when I got a text and phone call telling me I had a 4 PM appointment. Unconscionable. They give your terrible service because there are no good options in the area.

Horrible service. Internet kept dropping. Told it was an planned service outage- for a month? Quit lying. Called back another day: the computer shows me it’s working fine- lie. Called back 3rd time another day: okay I’ll send out a tech in a week. Tech comes and says the outside line is bad. Wait for them to come to hurry new line- oops didn’t call 811 to have lines marked we’ll have to come back. Come back again, didn’t bring right equipment. Come back third time, bury new line but forget to actually hook it to the house. Call spectrum: oh that’s different people we’ll get you scheduled in 2 weeks. How would I know to schedule a second appointment and why 2 weeks? Tech comes and hooks it to the house: still no internet: call and make yet another service appointment and have to wait a week. Told they’ll be there at 5 on Saturday and I got 6 reminder call recordings. At 6:45 I call to ask where they are and I’m told they’ll be there around 9 pm or I can reschedule. Reschedule! An appointment I’ve been waiting on for a month! And no call to tell me you are running 4 hours late? Finally arrive at 9 and replaces modem and now our internet works. After dozens of calls to the company and literally hours spent on hood every single person I talked to passed the buck or said I don’t know why they told you that or it’s not my fault. Kept referencing the customer care department but every time I tried to reach that “department” nobody had heard of it before. But they still want me to pay full price for the internet service that didn’t work for a month. Everyone was rude. Twice spoke to managers that promised to call me back but neither ever did. When I asked for their name and contact info they refused to provide it. I’ll admit I had an attitude in the end but that’s because they were absolutely so frustrating.

This company has gone down tremendously! I have been a loyal paying customer for 5 years , I recently purchased a watch from them it still has not been activated mind you a ticket was sent to tech support on June 30 and still have not been addressed! Now my phone services have been acting up decline my incoming calls and reading “user busy” . Calling into customer service doesn’t solve the issue it’s actually aggravates you more . Do not expect good customer service , and if you are reading this today before you make your choice RUN!!!!

Was sent a special offer in the mail- 3 months of free internet and tv, after 3 months I needed to pay $59.98/month and $20 for local channels and taxes. My bill was quoted at $89.00 after the first three months. Well, the three months are over and my bill came to $126.00. Customer service said they couldn't do anything for me- asked to speak to a manager- emailed her a copy of the Special offer. It is no longer valid "it is expired" and it is no longer in the system so there is nothing they can or would do. Couldn't believe it- of course, it was expired I set up my account in May. She told me I was required to pay the $126.00 and asked if I wanted to be transferred so I could shut my account down.
Do not give them your business- they do not work to resolve issues.

On 8/5 we discovered a tree branch had fallen and along with it, dislodged part of our cable wire so that it is hanging loosely from our house. It is still connected to our house, so we still have cable and internet, thankfully. But this makes it a live wire. Part of it is hanging on the ground and parts of it are wrapped through the tree branches that fell in our yard.
At first we thought it was an electrical wire but the electric company confirmed it is a cable wire. And they told us to get it taken care of ASAP. So we called Spectrum and they said the soonest they could have someone at our house to rectify the problem is 8/9.
Completely unacceptable. After calling again numerous times, told we were put on an expedited list, talking with someone via DMs on Twitter, sending pictures, we were still told someone would not be able to come out until Tuesday. I asked if we didn't have cable or internet would we still have to wait until Tuesday and they said "yes". Unbelievable.
      Worst customer service experience ever.

Terrible customer service, unfortunate that they are the only internet provider in our area. We had request internet service for new construction in November 2021, where they told me we would have to wait until spring due to froze ground, even though the conduit for underground service had already been installed. In May, 2022 they gave us a guaranteed service date of 7/30/22. However, 8/6/22 when the service tech arrived they had issues running the new service line through the conduit. I was there with the tech providing assistance, tools, and equipment to help. He reportedly kept getting calls from his supervisor that he would have to leave without completing the installation and he had been at our residence too long. Not 30 minutes after he had left I was able to resolve the issue on my own, and called Spectrum to have a tech return either that day or the next. I was informed that the next available appointment was almost two weeks out. I called customer service multiple times and got bounced around to separate departments to try and see who would be able to get a tech back out. Every representative answered me with the same run around. If I had known that I would have had to do the work myself I would have done it a long time ago, but I guess waiting 10 months for service means nothing to this company. If there was another internet provider in our area I would 1000% use them over this poorly-run excuse for a company. I will be leaving Spectrum service the minute a new provider is available in our area.

Service is sketchy in a lot of places but still, if they could keep their billing straight it might still be worth it. I'm in spectrum mobile HELL right now because they cannot seem to fix my billing and I get overcharged every month. Every month I call, spend 3 hours on the phone with a rep (all of whom have been very nice) who tell me (after a 3 hour back and forth) that all is now fixed only to have the same billing error charged the next month!!! Spectrum could be a good thing but overcharging every month when you are REQUIRED to be on autopay seems a lot like theft to me!! Spectrum, stop stealing and fix your mistakes!!!
