I called yesterday to cancel my service and was told that my final bill would be pro-rated. I called back today to confirm and I was told that I would have to pay the entire bill for the billing cycle. Basically, they are charging me for 18 days, even though I cancelled and turned in the equipment. This company is horrible. You shouldn't have to pay for something you no longer have. Crooks! ZERO stars.

Call to get internet. Could not get the equipment to me at my address. Canceled and still have them calling me 3 months later saying I owe them money. Never had spectrum internet never ever will!! The worst customer service the worst company I've ever dealt with! Cannot get their s*** together. Spectrum sucks!
Still trying to Bill me 3 months later. Can't see that I do not have their internet. What kind of company runs a business like this??

I am so fed up with paying over $100 a month and having no internet 75% of the time. We can't use our WiFi because the buisness class speed we pay for isn't what we get. Fed up and switching providers this week. Something really needs to be done with this "company". I feel awful for the people here that are also getting ripped off by spectrum. This is all theft and spectrum should have legal action taken against them.

This company has done nothing but try to rip me off from two years ago by accidentally terminating my service instead of transferring it so they can get a new customer in the paperwork and provide new promotions that ended a month ago with the increase in my bill of nearly $50. I have been with him over nearly 8 years and they never change my plan I don’t see why spectrum feels like they need to do that and re-people off on top of not having a prorated bill. Just another way to take it vantage of customers.

My elderly husband tried to return multiple times the cable boxes to the physical offices near our small beach town of ******** ****** *** No one occupied the offices at ******** **** *** ********* **. We moved to ********* ****** ** & into a condo that takes care of the cable. My husband took the boxes from ******** ****** ** & the prior owner of or new home in ********* ****** ** to the Spectrum office in ********* ****** *** We keep getting harassing phone calls that we owe for the month of 6/15/22 - 7/15/22. They're trying to charge us $98.00. $49 a month is our normal charge. I have the return tickets. I took a picture & sent to the manager of the Spectrum office that was harassing me.

I was a Spectrum customer for many years. Spectrum raised my bill every year while never adding anything of any value to the service. I canceled my service at the end of February 2022. Drove several miles to the nearest spectrum office a few days later and turned in all of their equipment and remotes, and was told I didn’t owe anything. Four months later I started getting letters and phone calls from a debt collection agency, saying I owed Spectrum $203.67. I disputed and said it had to be an error, and asked for details on what the bill was for, but kept getting back that they checked with Spectrum and Spectrum verified that the debt was legitimate. My monthly bill wasn’t even $203, so I couldn’t understand why they were billing me that amount and I could not get anyone to tell me what the $203.67 was paying for. It’s taken over a month to finally get someone to explain to me that my billing cycle was from the 17th of every month to the 16th of the next month and because I had a few days of Spectrum service in February, I had to pay for the whole month. I never received a bill from Spectrum; only letters and calls from debt collection. I think this is very bad business practice. Why didn’t they tell me that when I brought the equipment in… and why can’t they prorate and charge me for the days I actually had the service? But I had to go ahead and pay them today to get them to pull this debt collection agency off my back and not wreck my credit. It’s very upsetting to be a good customer, pay your bills regularly, then be robbed this way.

Every other week my phones go down at our office and then I get to sit on hold for over an hour while I wait for some person to answer the phone that tells me they have no idea why that is happening and they can get a tech out in the next 48 hours hopefully. It seems like they are letting a bunch of 2nd graders run their business at this point.

I received notification from Charter that I needed a new piece of equipment. I ordered the equipment online on July 13, 2022 and received and email confirmation of my order. As of July 27, 2022 I had not received the equipment. I called and was told there was no record of my order. The representative indicated she would reorder the piece and I would receive email confirmation from Fed Ex within 72 hours. I didn’t receive confirmation so called again on Aug 2, 2022 and was told again there was no record of my order. The equipment was ordered a 3rd time and I was told I could pick it up in the store in my city. I waited for over an hour in line. For almost a full month I paid for a service that I was unable to receive because the company could not seem to function appropriately to ensure I received the equipment necessary. Charter’s only response was “sorry.” Unacceptable service for a company that provides critical services.

Worst company ever! I have been a good customer paying on time never late my bill keeps going up with no new discount. I finally get approved for a 30 discount my bill drops 10 dollars... they said two other discounts was no longer available to my bill. To get a better rate I have to turn in all equipment and open the account in my husband's name. The internet doesn't work half the time. I can't take off the phone that I never use or that will raise my bill. Nothing but money hungry people screwing over the customers every chance they get.

While on a phone call with customer service on a different issue, I was offered a new “package”. This would include all local channels and 15 channels selected by me for a cost of $44 per month. I was told they couldn’t sign me up over the phone so I went into the Spectrum store where I was told the $44 per month is for the 15 channels and there is a separate charge of $21 per month for the local channels. This appears to be classic false pricing.
After discussing my options with the store, I signed up for this option. I specifically asked how long I would be guaranteed this price and was told it is guaranteed for 24 months.
I when I got home, I called Spectrum again to express my concern about the bait and switch pricing. I advised that I would be filing a complaint with the BBB and was immediately transferred to a supervisor. I again explained the situation. I mentioned I was told this price is guaranteed for two year and quickly advised was, that is not correct. I was told the $5 per month discount is the only part guaranteed. They can raise the price at any time and I will get the $5 off per month only. Once again, I was provided with false information.
How do they get away with this?
