My family and I were moving so I was trying to do an address change to our new house. On August 1st I thought I was on a government USPS site but somehow it went to rapid address. After filling out my information of my old address and adding my new address, it asked me to enter my debit card information to verify the address I was currently at. I put in my card numbers thinking that it was just verifying my current address like it said and then it charged me $68.00. It never said anything about charging me, it just said it was to verify my account. The next day the money came out of my bank.Initial Complaint

I recently moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Leesville, Louisiana. On Monday, August 7th, 2023, I performed an online search for “US Postal Service address change” and selected the option that said “US Postal Services”. The website had the official USPS logo, leading me to believe the site was legitimate. I entered my existing address as well as the address I moved to. The site then requested my card information to confirm my identity. I’ve never completed this process online before and trusted this site, believing this was the official USPS website. My payment was denied, and I exited the tab on my device and didn’t continue the process. Earlier today, I checked my transaction history and discovered a $68 charge from “Rapid Address” dated August 13th, 2023. Even though my payment was allegedly denied, Rapid Access kept my payment information and billed me for a service they did not provide. Their site claims that “We simply act as an authorized agent on your behalf so that the only headache you have while changing addresses is how many boxes to pack”. This is blatant false advertising, as their predatory business model takes advantage of movers and the many stressors they face during this process. Because of their actions, I do not have money for fuel to get to work or to eat. I have been horribly inconvenienced by this company and feel that their predatory business model has taken advantage of me and my financial situation as I attempt to adjust to a new home and a new life.Initial Complaint

This website is a deceptive scam targeted at frantic people during a move. Super predatory. Charged me almost 70$ while impersonating a government site, just trying to change my address.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction: 8/11/23 Order number: d4f35342-89f8-4901-ab9f-8f878007c1f0 This website appears to be trying to front as USPS and does not directly state while filling out the change of address form what the price would be. Only after a charge to my card did they say that it was $68 for something that could have been $2 at the actual USPS. I’ve tried emailing, calling, and live chatting but can not get any sort of response. I’m seeking a refund for services i did not receive.Initial Complaint

The business posed as a legit USPS website. The fact that it looks almost identical to the actual USPS site is completely misleading to everyone. It never disclosed how much the charge would be prior to giving payment information. We assumed $1.10 since that is what it normally is. We have gone to the actual USPS website to officially change our address, but need a refund from Rapidaddress for never actually disclosing how much the payment would be.Initial Complaint

I went online to put in a change of address I googled USPS address change the very first option clearly stated USPS. I filled out the information requested as well as my debt card information. I didn't think anything of it because the post office charges $1.10. As soon as I filled it out and click submit I received an alert that $68 was charged to my card. I went back to the website again and finally saw it was not the USPS sight eventhough they claim to be on google. I went through this website over and over again there is absolutely nowhere that the fee is posted. I then immediately tried to reach someone to get my money back I called the cs number 41 times with no answer. I also sent an email and used their chat feature. I was able to finally reach someone using the chat but it took over an hour of waiting in the queue. I explained the situation and that I wanted a refund I was told all sales are final and they would not be giving me a refund. I let them know that I would be reporting it as fraud and contacting the BBB. as soon as sent it the customer service person exists the chat. This morning I checked my account and they did issue me a refund. I am still notifying the BBB because they are not only impersonating the USPS but do not disclose the fee at all and are tricking people into using the service then telling customers all sales are final and refuse to refund the money. I didn't find out about this ridiculous fee until they emailed the receipt of $68Initial Complaint

August 7th, 2023 I attempted an address change and somehow ended up on a what I thought was the official USPS website but was directed to rapidaddresschange instead, which is extremely similar in looks to the USPS website. There was no associated price while checking out, and no "pay now" button, just "next" not aware I would be charged immedietely, and for the amount $68.I have attempted to block this fraudulent company's fraudulent charge by canceling said debit card. But need to ensure the refund will be completed. I see on here that folks were able to get refunds with the help of the BBB.Initial Complaint

Date: 8/4/2023 Intended to change address with USPS. Used the website believing it was the USPS site. Charged me a fee to form an agency relationship. Tried to use the support email in order to terminate the agency relationship. The support email did not work.
