Rapid address change posed as the USPS change of address service and charged me $68 that I want back. The USPS website charge a minimal fee for change of address and in the stress of moving (which rapid address change took advantage of) I entered my card info in assuming it was for that minimal fee. Instead it was for $68. When you ask for a refund they say it has been refunded. But after more than 15 business days this money has not been refunded. They prey on stressed out individuals, which is horrible. They are hoping those people will be so bogged down with the details of moving they will forget. I did not forget. I want my money back.Initial Complaint

on 4/16/2024 I attempted to change my address for an upcoming move. Somehow, USPS got replaced with this service and I got charged $68 for nothing. I am not a business nor have any affiliation with Canada. The post office charges $1 for this.Initial Complaint

I mistakenly went into thr Rapid Address Change to change my mailing address, input all my information & thought I was only being charged $1.10 for the service. When I scrolled down in the app there was a statement the fee was $68. Subsequently I requested a refund & was emailed back that they would do so. Then received an email saying my request had not been processed because of lack of payment. So I replied that I had requested a refund & was told they were doing so. Now I see on my online bank statement they have taken another $68 from my account. They have not reimbursed the original $68 yet. Please investigate this matter for me. I cannot afford to be scammed for this amount of money if that is the case.Initial Complaint

On march 12th i engaged rapid address to change my address. The websife presented as being an official usps site to do it making no mention or indication it was a 3rd party service. I was charged 68 dollars for this. Since then ive found my address has not been changed or any of the services promised done.Initial Complaint

This business’s website is misleading and in particular, charged me $68 for a service the USPS only charges $1. The payment is also a bait and switch, in that it does not explain the full payment amount.Initial Complaint

Just a few minutes ago, on March 22, 2024, I googled "USPS temporary change of address" on my phone so that I could get mail forwarded from one address to another. I selected the top result assuming it would be the post office website. Because I was on mobile, the form I was filling out took up the entire screen, so I did not notice any peculiarities or "red flags" with regard to the website's design. Only upon submitting the form did it become clear that this was an address change "service" (scam). In addition to charging me $68 for a "service" for which the Post Office charges under $2, this website says it will notify "up to 200 organizations on [my] behalf" to give them my address information—which I obviously would not have provided to them if I had known, inter alia, that my private information would be distributed at their discretion. I'm attaching two screenshots: The first screenshot "IMG_1014" shows (1) the aforementioned notice that my private information will be distributed to 200 businesses and (2) my invoice number; the second screenshot "IMG_1015" shows (1) the invoice/charge and (2) The list of included "services." Since it's a scam, it's unclear whether or not they seriously intend to submit a change of address to the USPS, distribute my information to businesses, etc. but I do not want any of it. I don't want them doing anything with my information except deleting it. I will go fill out a form in person at the post office. I just want the transaction cancelled and my money back. Thank you and be well.Initial Complaint
