      My card was stolen and fraudulent charges were made. We contacted Barclays to report the stolen card and fraudulent transactions and were told they would take care of it. Nope! They removed 3 of the fraudulent transactions, but not the other two, and it took several calls where they gave us different and confusing information every time. We're still not sure if they will credit us back for the 2 remaining fraudulent charges. And to top it all off, they closed the wrong card, so now we have no way of using our credit line until we get our new cards in a week or more. I have NEVER witnessed such extreme incompetance, and not just with one person, but with EVERYONE we talked to. It was breathtaking!

      I would give zero if I could. I have spent hours on the phone with customer service about a payment I made in July. Check was cashed by them and it is now 4 months later but we haven't received the credit. We opened 2 cases and provide all documentation including canceled check. No help at all!

      This is the worst credit card I've ever had. Their interest rate is the highest of all the credit cards l have.
      Not recommend at all.

      Terrible customer services. I received my statements with the annual fee after a few years being a customer. So called to cancel the card on the day that I received the statement on the mail and they said that they couldn’t void the charges.

      I am absolutely appalled by Barclay Card. I paid for a hotel room through a third party (PRESTIGIA hotels) and they never booked the room that was promised. I had proof and tons of documentation to show that it was just a huge scam, and the service never occurred. However, Prestigia hotels produced some shady cancellation policy that they aren't responsible for anything that happens. So, essentially, it's just a massive scam.

      Barclay card did nothing to protect me, sided with the unethical/shady merchant who doesnt provide the services that innocent citizens are paying for, and I will never EVER use this company again. They have literally zero consumer protection in place for anything that goes through third parties and after 6 months of fighting, I'm done with them. Thankfully my family members are cancelling their cards too.

      Stay far away and go with a better, more reputable company who has better protection in place that takes consumer scams seriously.

      We have been AARP credit card customer since they were with Chase. Then Barclay takes over AARP and it has been a nightmare. They closed our card saying non payment but we have confirmation showing that the payments were received checks cashed. Call Barclay and then they find the payments on our Old Navy card. This means that Old Navy has gotten two payments. They then go on to say that they will not move the payments to AARP card because that will make the Old Navy card delinquent. I mean make that make sense. Barclay is sham. We were with AARP Chase for over 15 years and now when they merge with Barclay it has been just horrible. I hope who ever gets this opens back up our account or just apologize for the inconvenience they have caused because we have never in the history of any of our cards been 4 months delinquent. Either people are stealing from the inside or from the looks of all these complaints canceling people cards because they’re going under.

      Whatever you do, do NOT use this credit card. I got suckered into using it for the 50K miles that would be applied to your account to Frontier once you made one purchase. I did so and the offer was applied on my Barclays account but after speaking with Frontier the account associated with Barclays doesn't exist. I have tried on numerous occasions to get this fixed with Barclay and they have been no help. I tried the chat and someone entered it and never replied to my inquiry either. I will be cancelling this card and I will never use them again. RUN RUN RUN!!!

      I have been a customer for several years with Barclay. I make my payments, and I have never had a collection or anything with them. I pay the card in full often even when I max it out. Today they decreased my credit limit. When I spoke with them they stated it was due to my Credit Score changing. I am in the process of fixing the issue that recently happened to my credit score which has nothing to do with my account with them. Now that they have lowered my limit it is going to impact my credit score even more. This is how they treat loyal customers. Beware this could happen to you.

      There was an issue with my card payments when Gap switched from Synchrony to Barclays. I was charged a late fee which I called and was told was waived. The next month I had another late fee on top of the old late fee being re-applied. I called and was told both were waived. The next month I had yet another late fee on top of the other two. I called and was told all were waived. My credit score dropped more than 60 points because all of these late fees were reported. I spent 15+ hours on the phone with Barclays customer service trying to resolve this over and over and over. I was hung up on constantly, sometimes representatives would just stop responding until I would finally hang up. I couldn't get anyone to listen. I finally reached someone who was able to at least fix the late fee issue and then had to dispute with the credit company to try to restore my credit score. I woke up today to find that all of the late fees that were "waived" were charged to my bank account. I will be cancelling my card, not sure if there is any other recourse to pursue. This is unbelievable. I will not have another gap card nor will I shop there while they use Barclays.

      My husband and I just opened our account less than 60 days ago. We have impecable credit and have a great relationship with our banks. We felt into the "50k miles" promotion this bank have with Frontier and decided to open an account.

      My husband's last name was misspelled and I never got my card. When I called them to notify this and requested new cards they said they will send them and expedite shipping at NO COST TO US. I asked explicitly and the rep CONFIRMED it had no cost to us this time. To my surprise there was a $15 charge "FAST CARD FEE".

      First, I sent them a message through the portal because I had no time to discuss a $15 charge that day. They never replied (1st red flag to me). Then, when I contacted them through chat they said they could not waive it. I was upset and close the account immediately. Totally unlawful. I will no give them the chance to waste my time or ruin my credit for their negligence.

      Terrible experience.

      I've never left a review on BBB but wanted to share this so others run from fraud like this. I won't prosecute any further (my time is worth more than $15) but totally unfair.
