I have had an Old Navy Credit Card since 2013 through Synchrony Bank. Barclays recently took over the Old Navy Credit Card from Synchrony. I receive a suspicious letter asking for me to mail in a copy of my Driver's License and Social Security Card. No way am I going to mail out my personal information with the amount of fraud that is out there. Why would they even ask for this when I have had this card for 9 years? It makes no sense to me. The answer that I got from Barclay customer service was it is a Patriot Act requirement. Whatever!! If that were true Synchrony would have asked for this years ago.Barclays Bank Delaware

Update: I received an email from Eduardo on 10/25/2022. He pretty much told me the same thing. They are placing a hold on my account until I mail them personal documents. (Driver's License and SS Card). This is a security risk sending those type of documents through the mail. I will no longer by using Barclays if this is how they conducts business. I have had my credit card since 2013 and I have always paid the bill on time so I am not sure why all of a sudden they are requesting this. This is their choice and it is my choice to not send it or do any type of business with this company.Review fromLarry R

Had excellent credit for years, got this bank Priceline credit card, paid off $2000 debt, and was unaware there was a $123 balance, enrolled in monthly paper bills, alerts of any changes in a card activity got alert activity on a credit report, Barclay had reported late payment that lowered credit score 39pts, received no statements, email, phone calls...nothing.Called it to Barclay's attention they investigated and called me back stating everything was true, they apologized for their negligence and fixed everything, my credit score went up 55pts, then a month later they did the same thing, turned a fraudulent report to credit co, credit score dropped again, they listed as late payment, at the same time account listed in good standing, they have damaged my credit with the negligence and fraudulent reports, cannot increase my credit limit or get a new credit card because of rogue fraudulent people, this is one of 1000,s of complaints against them, they need to be stopped, don't know their motive for trying to destroy peoples credit but it needs to be a criminal lawsuit they have taken 76 pts off my credit score, help usBarclays Bank Delaware

I redeemed a reward of $30.53 on July 29, 2022 and still have not received the funds into my checking account at my credit union. Spent way too much time on hold to discover that Barclays insists that the deposit was successful even though my credit union spent tons of time on researching the ACH deposit number and the Trace ID, etc and know for a fact that the reward was not successful. My credit union went above and beyond to help my but Barclays Mastercard won't accept the fact that they are wrong and won't give customers what they are rightfully owed. Sounds like a horrible business practice to me to deny customers what they are due and insisting that they have been "successful."Barclays Bank Delaware

I have had an Old Navy Credit card for years. The transition to Barclays has been horrible. The company has terrible customer service, and it is almost impossible to get a live person on the phone and they could care less whether you are a customer or not. I plan to cancel my credit card with them and I certainly don't need to be a customer if this is the service I will get.Barclays Bank Delaware

For three months I have been charged a late fee for a old navy card that should have a zero balance. Each month I have to call in for them to reverse the late fee and they say they reverse it but come the next month I get charged yet another late fee for the fee that suppose to have been reverse. Every month I hear the same thing with no results of resolving this issue.Barclays Bank Delaware

I was offered a promotion sent via Email on 8/26/22 for a promotion rate on Balance Transfers. until August of 2023. On the email, it states i can use my credit line to 1. Transfer to my bank directly 2. Home improvement and 3. Pay off high interested loans and credit cards.
Intrigued, I did check it out in the app. Selected the offer. Entered my banking information and chose $3000 to be deposited.
The next day I have an email from the Barclaycard fraud department telling me to give them a call because there was potential fraudulent activity on my account.
I called, confirmed my identity and assured them I did request a $3000 balance transfer to banking.
They said "Ok youre all good and transaction was approved"
So, on 9/11/22, i check the status in my account. Suddenly the $3000 pending transfer was gone. I called customer service. They told me it was cancelled by the fraud department. I then had the agent transfer me back to fraud department. they looked into the issue, and after another hold, determined they OK'd the transaction and that I should try to talk to the balance transfer team to assure this.
I was transferred BACK to an agent who told me they dont have such a department. The agent then told me, she did not see any info of any history of an attempted balance transfer. I told her I have a message from the fraud dept in regards to it. She then transferred me to a supervisor who told me they would contact the marketing department and promised he would call me back in 24 hours, and get the situation rectified. It has now been around 40 hours and still no contact from Barclaycard.
When i contacted them via chat to see what the status was, i was told they werent allowed to directly call consumers.
So now a so called "SUPERVISOR" lied to me? What deceptive practices to pass off and lie to the customer about practices.
So What happened to my financial info?? This company does not care about nor care to protect consumers financial info.Barclays Bank Delaware

1 starI'm not sure what is going on,but two times fraudulent acts we reported on my card and each time they offer to issue me a new card. They couldn't read my address back to me, they all me to give them all kinds of information and my address, hmmm. I did it but I think its a mistake. I've change my password multiple times to find out it not working, hmmm. My account is pass it limit and they can't show me as to why, hmmm. I would not get a credit card from them because something is very suspicious. I can't talk to someone with the company per sqy, only a fraudulent complaint department, this is getting real scary and my account seems not to change no matter how much I pay, I need to find ouf someone from the company I can talk to about my accountReview fromPamela N.

Took out a consolidation loan interest free for a year on my Aviator Credit Card, there was a transaction fee that was charged. On 5/3 the money went into my account. Then a duplicate charge went on my credit card for the same amounts on 5/5. I never authorized this. On 5/25 received letter stating that the 2nd charge was never funded and amount was taken off except for transaction fee. I called twice asking to have the fee taken off. On August 8th they put the full amount back on my card and the transaction fee, doubled, was added along with interest. Again the initial loan was to be interest free for one year. August 10th, the charge and doubled transaction fees were taken off, but the interest charge was not, nor the transaction fee that was charged on 5/5. On 8/22 called again and was told the fees would be reversed. On 9/6 I received a late fee on the credit card. I called and was told while they were investigating the interest would remain on the credit card. I asked why being the initial loan was interest free for a year, and on 5/25 it was determined the 5/5 amount was never funded. I was told this would take 4 days to come off my account, we shall see. Once this has been resolved I will be cancelling the credit card. I am also filing a complaint with the Consumer Credit Card Protection Agency, and also AZ Attorney General's office. When get the credit card they said I was going to get 200.00 credit by getting the card, but they never gave me the credit, took the credit from my points instead, this was not a honest transaction
