      “WORST BANKING EXPERIENCE” I ever had. They lack accountability, customer service, and adequate account security.
      They allowed an unauthorized user to gain access to my account. He made several fraudulent charges, without me knowing. When I brought it to their attention, they did a hurried & hasty “investigation”. Just to say, I’m still liable for all the fraudulent charges. (But no one can tell me how he got on my account.)
      The only recourse I have is to pay the fraudulent charges. Because if I don’t, I’ll be subject to interest, fees, and other penalties. A medium price to pay to get rid of a “BIG HEADACHE.”

      Absolute garbage company. 830 credit score, 20k limit card. Not one late payment. Typically paid in full each month. Cut my credit limit by 75% with no warning and for no valid reason. Refused to reinstate without a limit increase request, incurring a fee and requiring a credit check - for a company I've had credit with for years and years. Card paid in full, locked and will never be used again.
      This is in top of multiple security issues and a higher rate than any of my other cards.

      I wish i could leave zero stars. I did a balance transfer from Capital One to Barclays in Oct 2024. The amount immediately showed on my Barclays acct but never was subtracted from Capital One. After MANY MANY PHONE CALLS to both companies it was discovered that the balance was pulled from another account- not mine.
      I’ve gotten the run around and today is the 90 day mark which i was told it would be reapplied. Now I’m told my case was closed on March 26, never was I notified, and the balance is still on my Barclays acct
      So they’re saying I’m responsible for almost $3k for Barclays and on capital one and this isn’t my debt!!!

      The worst. They called asking if specific charges were valid I said no.
      I have never been to Miami. Told them to cancel my card and my account but they didn't and allowed the person who made the fraudulent charges to change my address and they sent them a new card.They even allowed them to pay off the card with my bank account they had on file. I have been fighting with them for 10 months. I found out recently they just closed my account. Now my credit score went from mid 700s to 577.Filed disputes with credit agencies and they are being ignored by Barklays. Is there some kind of class action lawsuit?

      This bank did an unauthorized balance transfer on my account and even after I returned the funds to their account they refused to refund the fraudulent transfer fee, I then told them it was fraud. they gave me a new card but did not return the fee. I will be canceling all accounts with this bank,.

      Worst customer service experience with Barclays! I called to ask about my credit card application and Form 4056-T, and the agent was beyond rude—kept cutting me off, had no interest in helping, and just wanted to rush me off the call. When I pointed out that she should be more customer-friendly, she raised her tone instead! Absolutely unacceptable. No wonder Barclays has so many negative reviews. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can’t imagine how they treat actual cardholders. Avoid if you value decent service!

      On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, I called Barclay Bank to pay off my account, which was in collections. I spoke to a representative about my account and was informed that I had to pay a certain amount to remove this charge-off/collection from my credit report. Knowing how much I previously owed, this was an acceptable amount to pay because this charge-off would be removed in the following year, 2026. The representative read their disclosure of the statute of limitations to me, to which I agreed and let the Representative know that I would call back on Friday, March 21st, to confirm that I had the funds and move forward to where I had to send this payment out to. When I called back on Friday, the new amount due was more than DOUBLE compared to what was stated in our previous conversation. I'm not paying more than what I initially agreed to! Due to this, they are telling me now it will take 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS to review the phone call I had with that representative on Wednesday, which was less than 20 minutes long, and they can't expedite my claim to have the call reviewed today while on the phone. I'm upset because they are not loyal to their word and are giving me the runaround. I am under a time constraint, and this issue wastes the days I have to handle my other problems. I'm calling daily to see where they are in the investigation, and I hope they stick to the word that the rep stated during that initial phone call. I don't know which other avenue I can take to remove this account from my credit report. I'll update later if I can on what happens.

      Barclay Card US intentionally delays disputes so that they will fall outside of allowed time to dispute. I purchased four items from Old Navy on THE SAME ORDER and all items were to be sent to the SAME UPS ACCESS POINT for pickup. The order was split in two and I waited until the second part of the order was available to pick up both at the same time. One of the orders was not there and it is very clear from the tracking number that I did not pick it. I called Old Navy twice (including from the parking lot of the UPS store). I was told my item would be refunded both times. It was not and so I filed dispute with Barclay. Barclay did not respond immediately and in fact lied about calling and sending a letter. When I finally contacted them I was told my case was closed and I could reopen it. I was told I could fax or mail information to reopen the case. I faxed the information the same day. I received no contact from Barclay. I contacted Barclay on their website about this issue,. Again I was told that I would receive a call multiple times and no one called. So finally after closing this account, I received a call to tell me, my case is closed and cannot be reopened. Barclay's actions were intentional and malicious. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. The amount in dispute now includes interest.
