      entered into a hardship repayment plan with Barclays MasterCard as of October 2 I was told that I could pay a specific monthly amount and my account would not be charged off as long as I continue to make my payments. I made my payments for the month of October and November as agreed. When I attempted to make my payment for December I no longer had access to my account and when I called I was told my account was sent to collections. I was then told that there was a discrepancy on there in which needed to be escalated. Several times I called and was hung up on. There was no notice that my account would be closed when speaking to the representatives of Barclays they told me that I did not qualify for the plan but yet accepted my monthly payments as payment towards a plan that they said I did not qualify for months after. This inconvenience has now gone on my credit and has caused me other inconveniences as well. I do not recommend

      Account not closed as requested 01/24. Reported fraudulent charge 08/24. Told to expect results 2 to 3 billing cycles. Interest continued to accumulate. 11/24 Credit Score found to be impacted negatively. Account still not closed, so charge and interest paid to avoid additional Credit Score impact. Called to find out that the report was never processed correctly. Passed on to multiple departments before getting interest charges credited. Fraud report finally processed correctly. Still have to wait days to have disputed charge credited, then have to call to call back to get payment in credit or check. Account finally verified as being closed.

      I have called and made payments over the automated line for years and all of a sudden I am now getting transferred to customer service representatives who don't speak good English and who I can't understand. Barclays also took away my ability to make online payments after I closed the account. This should be illegal and I would give them zero stars if I could.

      Ask to make a fraud claim on my Barclays/ Jetblue card. Barclays call center staff selected wrong charges, charges that were already paid and that I did not request an investigation for. They messed up my account badly. I emailed and called sevel times to have them correct the mistakes. Not even sure how they chose to select charge from August because the charges I requested were all on 10/10/24. They literally reached back to August and marked a bunch( $1000) worth of charges and marked them as fraud. Finally after several attempts spoke with a manger from fraud who told me he had fixed everything and the correct charges were marked and that with in 14 days things will go back to normal. Here we are 21 days later and nothing has been fixed. I can not even pay my annual fee that has posted. Beware of Barclays and Jetblue merchant services.

      I wanted to give Zero star. ??
      Dear BBB Representative,
      I am writing to file a complaint against Barclays Bank regarding my savings account application, which has been pending for a month. almost three weeks without any update. Despite multiple attempts to contact their customer service team, I have been met with persistent delays and a lamayck of communication.
      Here is a summary of my experience:
      - Application submitted: October 15th
      - Multiple emails and phone calls (four times) to customer service
      - Each time, I was told that my application is pending and that I would receive an update within 10 business days
      - No update has been provided despite the excessive wait time.
      I have tried to resolve this issue amicably, but the lack of communication and transparency from Barclays Bank has been frustrating and disappointing. As a consumer, I expect a certain level of service and respect, which has not been met in this case. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. Specifically, I request:
      - An update on the status of my application
      - A clear explanation for the delay
      - A resolution to this issue, which may include escalating my application or providing a refund of any fees associated with the application process.
      Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.

      No concern for security at all. After applying for a travel CCard they requested a copy of my social security card. Funny since I already have accounts with Barclays. No way to securely transmit it, just standard mail or fax. Submitted both on certified mail and to the fax number (twice) that they provided. When I called to check the status I was told to wait and call back a few weeks later as they were probably still being processed. When I followed up they had no record of receiving my Social security card. They strung this along for about 6 months and then told me it'd been too long and I needed to reapply. Hard pass. Absolutely unacceptable they way they treat your PII, I guarantee they're causing identify theft with negligent treatment of personally identifiable information.

      DO NOT get a credit card that is from Barclays, ie Jet Blue.
      If you make a late payment, they charge a late fee. That, I understand.
      So I PAY the amount SHOWN ON THE STATEMENT, mind you, 2 days late, thinking I brought it down to zero.
      Nope, they charge an interest fee of $1.84, THE NEXT DAY! Not thinking I owe anything, I let it go, because that $1.84 never was sent as an e-mail that I owed something. Didn’t even see it until I got an e-mail stating I owed $3.66. I don’t want a hit to my credit over less than a $5 issue.
      Get an e-mail saying I owe $3.66. WTH for? Now I’m paying interest on the interest from the late payment. WTF???
      Don’t bother with them, the points and rewards aren’t worth it.
      Taking my complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
      Not the late fee, I goofed. But how do you pay interest on a zero balance????

      Barclays Bank Delaware's Hawaiian Airlines Credit Card does not take applications from people living in American Samoa, all US Territories, APO and FPO addresses. Hawaiian Airlines is the only carrier that serves American Samoa, The fares are really high to fly between American Samoa and Hawaii. Having a HAL Credit Card will give us points and other amenities to help us ease the financial hardship in traveling between the two islands.
      Anyways since Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines merged. I hope HAL switches to Alaska Airline's Bank of America Credit Card.

      Had I been able to give 0 stars this is what they deserve. After Barclays lowered my credit limit from $500 to $250 I paid off the remaining balance of $147. I then noticed that my account had a credit of $3.37. I called the Customer Service number on October 11, 2024 and requested they said me a check for the $3.37. I was told it would take 10 days to receive the check (I confirmed my address as well as my apt #. I started the count from 10/14 which was a Monday. No check on the 24th or 25th. I called CS on the 25th and was told the check went out on the 24th, not the 11th and apparently I now need to wait another 10 business days for the check. Today is 10/26 and still no check. They lowered my credit limit citing my balances were too high on my other cards - gee how do you think that happened - I just came back from vacation - my other cards are all down to the recommended 30% or lower of my limits ($5,000 and higher). What type of inept people do they have working for them? The $3.37 isn’t going to make or break my account, but the thought that they have my money is concerning to me. I use got a notice that my credit limit of $500 is fast approaching (they lowered to $250 and I currently have a credit). How can I get a job with the company, I’m sure I could do a much better Customer Service job than what they have now AND WHERE IS MY CHECK??????
