I just received a hard inquiry on my credit report WITHOUT MY CONSENT!!!! I have never heard of this company and that inquiry needs to be removed. I googled the company and was able to locate their BBB information. I see this has happened to multiple people and this is a terrible way for this company to conduct business.Barclays Bank Delaware

They reduced my credit line stating I was at my max, when the truth is I paid off my balance. So they are punishing me for paying off the card. In addition they are charging me for accrued interest after the balance is paid, stating it's the balance that was carried over..I don't understand this math..if there is an accrued interest on a balance why is it not calculated in the current statement..I closed both Bluegreen and Frontier.Barclays Bank Delaware

I have a Barclay credit card, have had it for years. Recently they put a block on my account because they need to update info on me according to the Patriot Act (which was never reinstated). Anyway I know that was put in place to make sure we are not terrorists and they are only suppose to contact you if you made any changes to your account, asking for money, etc. . Also, they are only required to ask your name , physical address, and country of citizenship. Well this customer wanted to know my household expenses and my income. I told him I have been a customer for years you don't need this info it is only a credit card not a bank loan. He was relentless, would not take the block off. Finally asked for a manager, had a hard time with her also. Asked for a second manager she apologized and said I was correct the Patriot Act was put into place to weed out terrorist and those questions were inappropriate and she would take the block off and look into it. Still angry I called the president office of the company and spoke to someone there, listened to my complaint, would check the recordings and get back to me. Well that was over 2 weeks ago and have not heard from anyone. Also, I am never late with a payment and always pay more than they ask, way more. Anyone who has a Barclay credit card beware, infact use Capital one they are much better.Barclays Bank Delaware

In my opinion this was not resolved. Yes they did call me but tried to use the patriot act again on me as an excuse, when I told her I know the patriot act expired and they are only suppose to ask for 3 things as I stated in my review below she then back peddled and said well Barclay can ask for updated info. I told her by letting their people use the patriot ack as an excuse to get info they have no business to and if I don’t give it to them they will not unblock my account is a scare tactic. What they did was so upsetting on so many levels. I am so tired of hearing“we are so sorry for what you went through and we will use your experience in our future trainings”. Ps-also I have never been late and always pay way more than they ask. I have a Barclay credit card, have had it for years. I really love this bank.
They have great products and world class security through their online app. I have full control of my account.
Only thing is I wish I could speak to someone - as I have a complicated banking matter to sort out, that cannot be sorted out through online or first level support.
Is there anyway the moderator of this forum could help me understand how I could get this personal service done.Barclays Bank Delaware

This company appears to be engaging in fraudulent activity and should be investigated immediately. Barclays Bank conducted a hard inquiry on my credit report without my consent. After checking Google reviews, I found numerous complaints from others experiencing the same issue. I will be filing a report and pursuing legal action.Barclays Bank Delaware

If I could give Barclays less than a one star review I would. I opened the account for AA travel miles and had no issues with them until I tried to get a refund from an medical insurance policy that had to be refunded through my credit card. We had a conference call with the merchant, me and Barclay's explaining the necessity of reversing the charges through the credit card, multiple additional calls, and sending in documentation. The merchant clearly stated I was due the credit and that they would not dispute the charges. The merchant issued two letters stating this and after 3 1/2 months Barclay's refuses to put through the refund all while charging me interest on over $6000. They are rude, dismissive and completely unprofessional in their actions. They have done everything in their power to not process the refund. Barclays dispute rep even said "if the merchant was willing to give me the credit then why didn't they do that in the first place". They closed the dispute investigation even though I provided everything they requested and more. I really have no idea why Barclay's has fought so hard not to process the credit when it was such a simple transaction. This is absolutely the worst credit card company I have dealt with in over 30 years and would advise anyone to not do business with them.Barclays Bank Delaware

For CD applications, Barclays has asked us to provide them with a vast amount off Personally Identifiable information to include copies of tax records, drivers license, Social Security card, and Utilities bills but has provided no means to do it over secure communications. They just expect you will do it over unsecured email. This is unacceptable and only fuels Identity Theft.Barclays Bank Delaware

Absolutely terrible customer service and company. The refused to take my payment online, stating my bank was not releasing the money, but they could put it on autopay... From the same bank account. Took away my credit limit because I "did not utilize my credit limit for the past 12 months" which is not true, I just paid it down when I would use it! Apparently they want you to keep the card maxed out. When I tried to get my credit limit back, after I realized they had taken it away they said they would send me a letter about their decision. Get ANY other card.... I loved my Old Navyest Rewards card before but when they switched to Barclays it's been nothing but trouble. Canceling asap because it's not worth the trouble.Barclays Bank Delaware

Was told incorrect information about closing my account and my account was closed and not reopened. After speaking to a service representative and constantly confirming that my account would reopen and she replied several times that my account would be reopen in seven days.Barclays Bank Delaware
