I have an excellent credit score of about 800, I have many credit cards with a great payment and usage history. I’ve never experienced an issue when obtaining any credit card to include American Express (Platinum and Gold) being immediately approved and contacted. I submitted an application online for a Chase Bank Sapphire Credit Card on November 04, 2023. On approximately December 25, 2023 I receive a letter to upload supporting documents; which I did. I called several times in the 30 day time frame to follow up and only received answers as to wait 2-4 weeks for a response (which was never given to me by email or mail.) Both addresses were correct and verified by myself. On today’s date January 19, 2024 I call Chase customer service to check on the status and am transferred twice for further assistance. I am advised that my applications became inactive and I will have to reapply; receiving another hard inquiry on my credit report (affecting my credit score.) Never have I had such an issue to obtain a credit card in my life. I do not recommend Chase because of the hassle received by them. American Express is the way to go; if you’re looking for outstanding customer service with their products!

Spoke to customer service and verified there was no foreign transaction fees on my credit card..received statement I had hundreds of dollars in fees..spoke to customer service escalation department advised all foreign transactions fees would be removed. 4.82 was only removed I have to pay all remaining fees..company deceiving. Hours spent trying to resolve. Chase refuses to help.

Intrusive credit practices. I have been a great customer, always paying my bills on time, most often more than the minimum. Recently Chase sent me a letter saying to call them so they could review my credit card accounts (2). What ensued was a series of personal questions I am not even sure are legal for them to ask, because they asked about my payment and spending habits for my cards other than Chase. They wanted to know what I spent my money on. They wanted to know why I have the number of cards I have. They wanted to know how much I pay on my cards each month. I have never been asked questions like these, even by my mortgage lender. If you have or are considering Chase credit cards, bear in mind their credit department may interrogate you with questions that at the very least appear to be too personal and intrusive. Other credit card companies review your credit report for such things as debt to income ratio, but Chase goes too far in grilling you about what you spend money on, for example. I recommend going to other companies for your credit cards.

Chase sent me a letter saying my credit cards were up for review and to give them a call. What ensued was a series of intrusive questioning that felt more like interrogation. I have never been asked these kinds of questions, even when applying for a mortgage. For example, they wanted to know why I have the number of cards I do overall (not just Chase), what kinds of purchases I made with my cards (again, not just Chase) (and asked this repeatedly to find out what I spend my money on), and how much I paid each month on my cards (not just Chase) whether it was just the minimum. I don't think it is any of their business what I purchase with my other credit cards. As far as my Chase cards, they can just check my statements. Any other credit card company just checks your credit report for income and debts and makes determinations based on that. They don't call and grill you with a barrage of intrusive personal questions, especially questions that have nothing to do with Chase. As I said, even my mortgage lender never did anything like this. I do not think this is a good company to do business with.

Just had my limits reduced on 2-credit cards and while we just went through Christmas, I used them (isnt that what a CC is for?). I have always paid my cards on time and when balances get higher then expected I either pay it completely off or to a very small balance. I recently just paid very large sums to 2 cards, and then my limits were reduced without any warning just a statement attached to my account. They lowered each one so low that it then looked like I have now over 50% usage, and hurt my credit score. When calling to question, the account rep didnt care and didnt matter that I have never defaulted on any accounts and made payments on time or on some months more than once. I also have a checking account with them. Do yourself a favor and go with another bank that has more integrity and actually cares for their customers, like BMO.

This credit card company is horrible. The canceled my credit card because i paid off my debt from another loan and they closed it. I just paid it off on the 12-10-23 with a good chuck of money and then they send me a bill for interest. I would not recommend this company for a credit card!!!!!

I HAD a credit limit of $4000 for over a year on one of my Chase credit cards. THEY decided to decrease my limit to $2600 since I supposedly had high debit to credit ratio ?? I’ve literally paid every card on time and more than the minimum for 3 years…. So they thought they should decrease my limit to make my ratio worse?!? I’m about to take my banking away from them and once I pay off their 2 cards close those down too

They keep raising the APR and minimum payments on my card. Worst the minimum payments go up every month (way higher than the calculated minimum payment of the APR should be) even though I’m not using the card and I pay on it every two weeks. Make it make sense.

This is the worst credit card and bank in the USA. Do not use it!

Absolute garbage experience applying for a credit card via their refer a friend promotion. Pretty sure they denied the credit application because they don't want to give out points to my referring friend. Verified my personal info online through their portal via passport and a recent bill as they requested, but they sent two rejection notices in the mail stating that they suspected fraudulent activity and to contact them if it was indeed me applying (yes it was)! Went through their red tape games and still denied for reasons they can't tell me. Seems like they are the fraudulent party involved.

This company is the worst! My company has been trying to get the primary contact for our business changed for 6 months now and we have filled out all of their paperwork, jumped through all their hoops and given them everything they have asked for more than once and they have yet to complete the transfer - now they are asking for even more stuff even though twice when I have previously spoken to them I have been told they have all they need and that the change should “be completed soon” - when I called the other day to inquire when this would be completed as it is still not done, now they are saying that they have to talk to the old primary - he has been gone from the company FOR 6 MONTHS!!! And NOW they are saying they need to talk to him??? And they won’t even tell me why they suddenly need this. I have NO IDEA where he is and have tried to get in touch with him but have gotten no response. I’m so sorry we wasted the last 6 months with these people and will be finding a different credit card company for our business and closing our account with them as soon as I possibly can!
