Very disappointed with this card! I went to Dubai with a 15k credit limit! I used it for a few transactions under $200.00 and it was approved. I then used it to buy socks at Dubai Mall for $32.00 usd, and the card was denied. I called chase, spoke to overseas reps who said I needed to talk to the security department, okay? Then the rep comes back and tells me oh, they are closed call back in 7 hours. Great! Just effe’n great! So I pulled out my AMEX, paid my $32.00 transactions. Called chase after 7 hours, spoke to a “senior account rep” who said, your account has been flagged for fraud. In which Case, let me release the fraud on your account. Great. Got back to my Resort, ordered a container for $15.00usd, declined! Declined, tried again declined. Called chase back… here I go… with the spiel again. Spoke to a supervisor this time in the security dept. her name SHEEN from Phillipines call center. She said, I’ll release the security hold and I’ll call you tomorrow at 8pm DUBAI time. Waited..9:30pm, called them back spoke to server department again asking for Sheen… The rep said we don’t transfer and supervisors doing call back. Seriously? So then why tell a customer that? I re-explain again for the fourth time. The rep was nasty said your account is locked due to fraudulent activity, you’ll have to wait until it’s cleared?! Seriously? No, she then transferred me to Josh a supervisor located in Chicago who was an idiot! I was explaining the situation and he said there’s nothing they can do. I explained that if I was stranded and they blocked my card. I’m pretty much SOL, and he said it’s not his problem. WOW! I told him I’m the customer and to make me more upset, it’s not right. He then got hostile with me and started raising his voice because I was getting frustrated. He then disconnected the call without resolving the issue. I called snack for the 10th time now. finally got to a really nice gentleman who helped resolved my issue. but never again. RUN FROM THIS CARD!

On June 30, 2023 I received the letter from Chase Card Lending Services, stating that in a few days I will receive a letter with attachments from them for my wife to file some missing information or the card will be cancelled in 14 days.
No letter was ever came from Chase Card Lending Services. On July 3, 2023 we went to Chase bank located on rt 18 in East Brunswick, NJ. The bank representative called a telephone number on my lettering after that my wife filed and signed requested documents, which will emailed to the bank.
On July 13, 2023 I was informed by the store that my card is rejected. I called bank and was told that my account was cancelled because I did not provide requested documents.
We went to the same Chase Bank. The same customer service representative called the number on the letter and was told that they did not received requested documents. Apparently, they needed me to file these documents, but on the letter was my wife's name.
I called the representatives and spoke for one hour and 10 minutes with SIX (6) different "customer service representative" in several countries, including USA. Finally the number 7 decided to have fun and hanged up.

What kinds of ignorance is it?

Banks fault and they arrogantly cancel my card!!!!

I recently took a short vacation trip to Mexico City. I made the terrible mistake to take my Chase United Explorer Card as my primary card. The card was declined twice during my trip. I understand Chase trying to protect me against fraud or an unauthorized use of my account. However, when I called Chase to get it resolved I was told each time that there was nothing they can do, that their fraud department was closed and that I needed to call the next day. The 2nd time my car was declined it almost put me in harm's way. I had to send some one to my hotel to pick up my secondary card for this trip and bring it back to the establishment were I was waiting. If chase is so "good" in denying transactions alleging Fraud, the least you can do is to have staff capable of resolve it 24/7. Never again!

Card transactions decline frequently, even with available credit. Actual balance is not updated daily. The balance versus the available credit are hardly ever proportional. Account closed without notice or warning. Hard to get a credit line increase, even with good credit. Anything through the biggest and largest financial institutions is not always the best. Chase Bank is said to be one of the hardest financial institutions with which to obtain credit. There are better credit cards available than Chase Freedom. To avoid any confusion, disappointment, or embarrassment, this particular credit card is not recommended.

I am dealing with an investigation from a resort, and it is fraud. Chase is telling me, that it is my responsibility. I even had a representative tell me to investigate from the fraud department. Chase could have done a better job with recovering my money. This company shows that if you have fraud or suspicious activity, they will not try to recover any money for you. Instead, chase will charge a ridiculous interest on your account, and tell you that it is your fault.

Customer Service told me they would change my payment due date which I don't recall ever doing in the past. I repeated his promise back to the rep a couple of times to make sure it was real and he promised it was the fact. I would not get charged to the following month's due date. This amount is over $10k and I called to change the due date or lower the amount. They said "no problem" and repeated to me my next charge wouldn't be until the following month. I was so happy and told them I would pay the total amount due regardless once my clients paid so I didn't get behind. In the meantime, thank you G_d, I transferred money from my 401k, because on the 5th of July, the entire amount was deducted and no one in customer service was willing to do ANYTHING but make sure the person who gave me incorrect information was disciplined. They wouldn't even reverse the withdraw or stay on top of it. I had to call back once the money was truly gone and not just pending. Then it would take another 5-7 days to get that money back so all was for nothing!!!! If it weren't for the miles I would never use this card again. I'm going to seriously look for another card to use. I've given too much of my business over too many years to be treated like this with NOTHING in return. No discount (they were going to charge me interest for any money I asked for back.) Even if it were just a couple of days. It's pathetic. They ended up hanging up on me since there was no resolution. There is no more customer service, it is now customer facing robots without any accountability and no concern or value of the customer. Shame on you Chase...shame on you.

They sold me a Marriott bonvoy boundless credit card for 100,000 bonus points after spending $3000. I was making sure that i was going to qualify for it. They answered me 'Yes'. After I spent $3000, I got no points. I called them why i was not getting points. Then they told you would get points soon. I was using the credit card continually. I got charged annual fee of $99. Now they are rejecting me for rewards points and refunding annual fee neither. This is total scam to customers. At least i want to get my annual fee back.

Awful customer service and no communication with their customers. I rented a car for a European vacation over Easter week. Car rental reservation occurred in January but when I went to pick up my car in April the agreement wasn’t honored. After multiple attempts to dispute through the rental company I filed a dispute through Chase. They rejected my dispute but didn’t ask for any of my supporting documents. I disputed their judgment within 24 hours and followed their instructions.. Followed up today and was told by them I needed to have submitted my documents 2weeks ago (before they even notified me of their decision). While speaking to the supervisor I realized they never looked at any of my documents, emails, 2 charges (in Jan and April). They basically don’t care about their customers. I won’t continue to do business with this company. If I could go to small claims court for both companies I’d do it.

After seven months of having a credit card in good standing, I received a letter that I needed to provide proof of my identity. I received the letter on June 12th 2023 but the letter was dated June 5th. I originally had 14 days to Fax or Mail information needed but the letter was a week late. They asked for a copy of my ID and Social Security card. I don’t have a Social Security card at the moment and couldn’t have gotten one in a weeks time. There was an option to send my Social Security verification letter, which I did. I faxed the information requested on June 14th. I never received any feedback until I realized my account was closed. Since the verification letter didn’t have my Social Security number on it, it was not good enough. It would’ve been nice to have been called or given more time. This is terrible business practices. I will never do any business with Chase in any form ever again and suggest you do the same.
