I closed my Chase United Discovery card on November 15, 2022, but Chase failed to close the account due to "technical reasons". Chase acknowledged their error, but said I was still responsible for the unauthorized charges made for two months after I closed there card. Their fault, my cost! My complaint to the BBB had no effect. They didn't even investigate the issue or attempt to respond to specific remedies. They just dismissed it. Thanks for the support BBB.

I have been a Chase customer for almost 20 years. I have my Chase Sapphire Preferred card for almost 2 years. Within that time, I never missed a credit card payment. Almost pay before the due date. on 4-24-23 I attempted to use my card at Walmart, and it was declined twice. At the moment, I felt ashamed and embarrassed. I called the number on the back of the card and spoke with a rep and asked why. I also asked her, “do I need to notify you guys, when I go out of town”, and she said no. She told me to hold and directed me to someone else without telling me nothing. I talked to a different rep, and i had to explain my situation again. He asked me all of these unnecessary questions, after I gave him all of my personal info, to confirm it was me. He stated, “your card was declined because we wanted to make sure it was you”. Usually Chase will send you a message to stating, “did you authorize this transaction, etc”. I never received that. I tried to use it again this morning on todays date (4-25-23), and it was still a hold on my card. Iam embarrassed as a customer, and disappointed in the service/lack of communication by Chase. Especially, when I always pay my bills on time and never been late.

I have been a valued customer of ******************** for about 15 years. In my opinion, Chase has been slacking. I have had to change my credit cards an average of 8xs within a 5 month period. I did not receive any text messages, phone calls, and/or emails about these potential fraud charges. I would have to go through my accounts to catch them myself. The customer service is subpar at best. I was gipped out of 700 plus points which is a lot since I utilize these for travel. Overall, I would NEVER RECOMMEND CHASE TO EVEN MY ENEMIES. If you decide to bank with them, make sure you check your accounts daily.

I completed the paperwork for a transfer from my Chase card to a card offered by by credit union. It’s been 11 business days, almost 12, since the Chase card was paid off by the credit union card (the amount is now on my credit union card’s transaction page) but the amount I transferred is still showing up on my Chase account as if the transfer has not occurred. It is impossible to contact customer service over this issue. The phone tree leaves no option. I sent a secure message under and the rep was completely evasive. When I tried to reply to her again, the message box was red and would not allow me to send a message. I don’t think this is a coincidence. Horrid customer service. I would never recommend using a Chase card. What is worse is that I am a single parent doing all I can to make ends meet.

I opened a Southwest credit card that was through Chase. There is a $149 annual fee and one of the perks is that each anniversary year, you are comped for 4 upgraded boardings. While checking my statement, I noticed I had not received a credit for one of the upgraded boardings. I opened a secure message on 2/18 to Chase and asked if someone could clarify why one didn't get credited. When I received no communication by 3/6, I sent a follow up question asking about the status. What followed was a comedy of errors that was decidedly unfunny. I reached out to Chase numerous ways for assistance and clarification before finally submitting a complaint with the ************************************* Tracci from Chase Executive Offices assured me that she was investigating the cause of the delay and the discrepancy in the information provided. Instead, the response that was provided focused on the most trivial part of my complaint. They did not address the following: 1) why did no one answer my original ticket? 2) why was I told that this question actually was a "dispute"? 3) why was I told I needed to submit documentation to verify my claim for a dispute I never asked for? 4) why did it take a month to tell me that my "dispute" (that I never asked for) was invalid because my question couldn't be resolved through a dispute? 5) why, when I called to get clarification, was I bounced to 4 different departments/organizations? 6) why, after I was assured by a rep on a RECORDED line that it was a mistake and would be easily fixed, was that conversation never mentioned again? They have done nothing to assure me that they found the cause of the breakdown in communication. All that their response does is insincerely claim that they're sorry I didn't understand their process and sweeps my legitimate concerns about delays in response and false information being supplied to clients.

I purchased a refundable airline ticket and received a large fee (there was no mention of this on the travel page) and my receipt actually shows it is non refundable. Chase will not give me anything in writing that it is refundable AND I didn’t realize that not only did I pay hundreds more for a refundable ticket but have to pay hundreds to get the refund. Bait and switch is more like it.

I have spoken to 4 customer service representatives over a 4 week period regarding an incorrect hotel reservation charge on my Chase Visa…got 4 different answers, unable to speak with a Manager, Iam a 20 year customer with a perfect payment record, my airline tickets are already booked & I need to book hotel but have to wait for Chase to resolve the issue & they have no sense of urgency & could careless? The worst customer service ever…DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, they would rather bail out failing Banks than help their own customers.

TERRIBLE ****************** highly suspect policies. I'm closing my Southwest Rapid Reward card. They kept charging me for interest payments when I had paid off the card in full. Be careful with this bank....

I am sending a complaint against Chase Bank for being dishonest in communication, and unethical in handling my Amazon credit card, and further damaging my credit. I recently opened an account with ******************** Bank so that I could assure that the credit card payments were paid and on time. I ran into some hardship but did what was right to get the card payments going. I spoke with your representative and I was told that as long as I set up a payment plan and honor the payments on time my Amazon credit card would not be closed and the payments would set me in good standing. I was told by your agents that any payment made before the payment arrangement date would cancel out any payment arrangement we had set up. I told your agent that I may not need as much time as they were giving me to make the payments and that I would pay at least two hundred dollars every two weeks once the account was opened. I have kept my promise on that. Your administration canceled my Credit Card, charged me an additional $212 dollars and sent me a message saying that I needed to call the bank to avoid overdraft fees. So, basically lied to me, put me in a bad financial situation, adding more damaged my credit, after opening an account to assure the card would be paid. Im speechless, especially in the times we are in. I have never been treated like this by a bank before in my life, as I trusted Chase Bank with my money. In addition to that, I was transferred seven times trying to explain to your staff what happened. The entire call was over one hour. I think that this was a fraudulent attempt to get money in overdraft charges. *** made several payments to the bank and kept my promise. Your organization took an additional $212 dollars on Monday March 20, 2023, after I paid $250 on Friday March 17, 2023. That put me in the negative. Now Im faced with possible overdraft fees that I cannot pay and further damaged credit because the card was closed.

My credit card was hacked last September. I have been fighting this for six months. I’ve even had the bank manager help me fight it. I have every bit of proof that my credit card was hacked, and I sent in everything that was asked for me. Chase credit card company has closed my case three times and I have re-opened it with all the proof that they asked me for even writing letters. I also have proof from the place that it was use that that it was not me they still continue to close my case, and not reimburse me for the money that was stolen from me! I use this card all the time I give them really good business I spend about $15,000 a month and pay it off. My card was hacked for $170 and they cannot even help me! If anyone is looking into Chase credit cards, I would highly recommend them researching it first!
