Started with Total Protect they switched to Cinch. I called in Oct to cancel my policy and I was charged for November $175.96. I called December 3 for a credit and to cancel and was told not to cancel till I got my refund which was supposed to be in **** days. That didn't happen, waited a month still no refund. in the meantime, another $175.96 was taken from my bank account. I was transferred to multiple people who don't speak English very well. I was put on hold over and over again; I will need to look at your account and email my supervisor. I was told I would get my refund in 72 hours now it has been another 2 weeks and nothing. I'm on the phone again going round and round and round put on hold while they look at my account. How can this company be in business when they don't even care about their customers. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!! HOW DO YOU GIVE NEGATIVE STARS? GIVE ME MY $351.92 BACK!!!

I am 82 years old. I have been without heat because my furnace failed October 3rd. I live in a cold climate. It took 17 calls to Cinch and 2 months to replace my furnace. Most of those calls were to Cinch, and some to their in-network provider. The local provider was excellent, Cinch call center (in ****) was terrible to deal with. My efforts to get emergency, expedited service were basically fruitless. I learned they only employed 3 service organizations in my area, one of which was non-responsive. Also, their local service partners needed to order the furnace directly from Cinch, creating further delays. Cinch shipped the wrong unit first, and I eventually did get a new furnace on November 30. Thanksgiving was celebrated in a cold home. I paid my premiums for 5 years $2,637.00, and my co-pay $135, and still had to come up with $1,490.00 in 'non covered services' out of my own pocket before the furnace could be installed. Less than one star!

I would like everyone to know that Cinch home services is a total RIPOFF.We have been with them for at least 9 years, paying them $54.00 every month. Our water heater just recently died, and the plumbing company they sent out charged us an additional $1,485 to install the heater. The plumber said we had to be brought up to codes, which I can understand. After doing some investigating of the upgrade products, the price was outrageous. I can understand paying extra, but $1,485 to install a water heater, which is covered under our warranty, is just total madness ????. ***********************, the companys CEO, should be ashamed of himself and his company. All we asked the company for was another estimate, by a different plumber. We were told it would cost us another $140, which we paid for the first estimate. I also asked the company when we first called, if the first plumber was our only option, and we were told yes. Let me ask everyone, do you usually get more than one estimate, when you are looking to hire someone? We are totally fed up with Cinch Home Services. If you are looking for a home warranty, they should not be your choice. Find someone else, because if you dont, you are just wasting your hard earned money.

Required a $75 deposit to get a service appointment. (not as advertised) Service appointment was 2 weeks out. Tech diagnosed problem and ordered parts. (some of which were "no longer covered" - more than another $100 dollars) Then he sent up a follow-up appointment to install the parts (2 weeks out) parts arrived. On scheduled appointment day no one arrived.Someone at ***** Services canceled the appointment and re-scheduled another appointment (another 3 weeks out) called to find out what happened and could only get the appointment re-scheduled to 2 1/2 weeks out. No one can tell me what happened on my appointment day. No one made an attempt to better the new service date. I was promised a call back from a supervised 3 times with no callback. on the 4th try a manager did call and promised a call back, but did not call. The next supervised re-scheduled us with another service provider. That provider called to ask me what the service was for. after I told him that there had been a diagnosis and parts ordered he informed me that he does not take that type of work. When I called back, I was put in touch with a "case manager" who described a possible solution but has since failed to call back with any results. This continued for 6 months with a dozen service appointments, half of which were canceled. Finally, I was offered a check for the price of another washer. I was promised a refund (in 3 to 5 business days) for my warranty payment made after the cancellation. After 10 days I called back to check the status. I was promised the refund in 3 days. After 5 days I called to check the status. Today I was promised a refund in 3 days and a call from a supervisor. I do not expect either. This is the most frustrating service experience of my life. Not to mention the telephone menu system that averages 45 minutes of hold time to get to a human and regularly hung up on me.

Absolutely worthless,It's a racket and a scam. The company uses predatory methods and exploits customers through charging for all services and most of the replacement products. (You're not 100% covered for anything regardless of what tier you decide to pay for). They utilize unprofessional, dishonest, and dismissive contracting companies that talk to you like you deserve to be taken advantage of. Their superiority complex really comes through when they tell you how things are going to go (when the appointments are gong to be scheduled, cancel services altogether whenever they feel like, hang up on customers, altogether fraudulent). Stay away from Cinch. You want great, affordable service? Put what would be your Cinch payment into a savings account and when it comes time to use it to replace an appliance and/or utility, look up a highly reputable and reliable service company and save yourself the money, time, and headache of this incredibly worthless company. If the reviews are any indication that they need to be investigated deeply for fraudulent and predatory practices, then run the other way. Read any of these reviews and you will find that this is NOT the service for you.

I started off with Total Protect, they were bought out by Cinch. The three years I was with Cinch I didn't have any issues until now. I ran into a billing issue which I will admit was my fault. When I tried to fix the problem, I was transferred to several different people and none of them spoke English. I had to keep repeating information. It was almost like they weren't paying attention the first time. The backgrounds were loud, and I could tell they were distracted. I was supposed to get a free month...that never happened. Over three to four days it was impossible to get someone to fix the issue. Very frustrating to say the least. It was like pulling teeth to cancel my plan too.

I was asked to renew my policy TWICE for one year, and on the second time they called me to renew, they reduced my coverage and removed premium upgrades I had before (which I stated that I wanted during the first time we tried to renew this year). Now after having a furnace replaced, I owe $1300 that I should not have to pay due to the policy they should have given me, and after 3 hours on the phone and talking to 6 different support ***** **** managers, and membership ***********, I have not been able to get anyone that can actually help me. I am stuck paying $1300 out of pocket when I have a home warranty that should have covered this. Furthermore, I cannot upgrade to the policy that I should have been given in the first place because it's past a 30 day period of time post-renewal. Due to the poor notes and communication and record keeping of several people at Cinch, I now will not be able to buy Christmas presents this year - because I needed heat in my home. I will NEVER, ever, EVER recommend Cinch to anyone, and after desperately trying to ask them what I could have done differently to avoid this surprise cost, the membership rep told me that I could have googled it (What does this even mean? How could I have known that my policy didn't cover this if the many support calls before replacement didn't inform me?). I also don't receive their email communications, and they couldn't even tell me why those emails are not in my inbox or my spam folder. Completely incompetent and un-freaking-believable. I hope they really do record all the calls they receive and use mine for training purposes, because I cannot believe the corner I have been backed into because I have a home warranty with Cinch. This entire process has been predatory and anxiety inducing. Never again - if I could give 0 stars, I would.

I am very unsatisfied with the response time in needing service on any of my covered appliances. We are now trying to get a furnace replaced per heating and cooling company and cinch is disputing it. All the while furnace fumes are coming into our home. I pay $600.00 annually to be covered and $125.00 for each claim/ deductible. We are extremely unsatisfied with this home warranty company!

Yesterday I posted my dissatisfaction with how Cinch has been handling my request for a plumbing service, which has been handed around from contractor to contractor and giving me false and incorrect information. Well, I was offered to find a contract that would meet their requirements and I was sent a detailed, w list to submit which their own contractors do not submit. I have been a client of Total Protect for over 15 years before Cinch got involved, and after demanding I pay a deductible, which was always paid to the contractor. I can not get service. It has been a week to get plumbing service. I am not doing all the work to find a contractor and have them submit to a list of demands, as mentioned, your own contractors do not submit, that's what I pay Cinch to do. Please send a qualified plumber to fix the issue. Since Cinch demanded I pay the deductible, Cinch is legally obligated to fix the plumbing issue or return my deductible.Request DateRequest TypeItemStatus 12/01/2022Warranty RepairWater Lineaccepted 11/29/2022Warranty RepairWater Lineawaiting diagnosis 11/28/2022Warranty RepairWater Lineawaiting diagnosis
